  1. what type of drive is D? Is - this another partition on the same disk?

  2 Windows operating system you are using?

  You can change the location of the disk to save the data in the d: instead of C: and check if it helps.

  a. navigate to the location (username) C:\Users\.
  b. right click on the folder that you want to change the location, and then select Properties.
  c. click on the location tab and change the location to D: drive.

  d. click on apply and Ok.

  Scopes analytical models are user specific, although I think that that has changed after that some released in the series 9.x. Hyperion, at one point had a utility that allows you to copy the template from one user to another, but I don't know if that still exists. It may just be easier to have users to recreate it in the short term since it is really just a problem of selection of metadata.

  Files/folders that you want to share between users on the same machine should be placed in the Public, C:\Users\Public directory. That is what concerns the Public directory. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  Time you try to export images from Lightroom by E-mail, in the window of e-mail please make sure that you have a selected e-mail account.

  

  So once you have the From option, then you should be able to check the "metadata for legend Include as a description tag.

  I was wondering if it is possible to share the screens of the two laptops that I, as a laptop as main screen and the screen on the other laptop as a second monitor? But everything wireless since don't have a cable VGA or HDMI cable with me at the moment. The two laptops are running on Windows 7 pro OS. One is 32-bit and the other a 64-bit. If possible could someone here tell me how to get there?

  OK, the only way to make it wireless is having a "Server and a client host" of course. Now I did not understand how sharing the screen, but basically what I wanted to do is use the same keyboard and mouse for two laptops. It's easier this way than to have to switch the keyboard and the mouse of the two laptops if you're working on laptops at the side.

  Solution:

  (1) install synergy in both computers laptops regardless of type of OS or version and set it up.

  (2) in this way I can use same keyboard and mouse for two laptops at the same time.

  (3) I don't have to worry about files and stuff stored in different computers laptop cuz its shared via Wi - Fi network. If I can access them in two laptop computers whenever I wanted. It's perfect.

  I hope this helps those who were eager to do the same.

  I am able to share a folder, but cannot share the root of a hard disk. Homegroup is off.  In addition, even if I have the password to 'OFF' I always get invited to do since the XP computers on the network, but not Vista computers. Weird?

  Win7 computers have full access to the C:\ root on Vista and XP in network of machines. But on computers Win7 the C:\ root is blocked. How to open readers for full access. I worked with permissions in fsmgmt.msc without a bit of luck. What is going on. It is not that difficult.

  OK, that's the problem with Windows 7: I had possession of the disk on the local computer (by default), but this is not enough. I had to give "everyone" the drive to another computer to access property. That means logging in inspired by the network from another machine to Win7 computer, you property as "everyone" and therefore, the authorization to access the drive.

  So, here is what I did. Right-click on the hard drive from windows Explorer. Go to properties. Click Security. Click on change. "Everyone" add to the Group and the permissions you want. Then, go to sharing and share the drive as you normally would. The root of the drive will be accessible on the network.

  I understand it now, but it is poorly explained in documents I've read. I spent hours of research on this and cannot understand why MS makes it so hard to share a drive on a network. Totally absurd.

  I hope this helps others trying to do the same thing. In a small home network, it is very common need to share multiple disks in the root of c:\.

  What do you mean by "sharing"? Captivate has no functionality for collaboration. A theme can be sent to another user, even with a model (if you really need a model and more a theme). Apparently this is not what you want? If you Captivate 8, also check the color palette of theme please.

  I want to share the work of tagging photos with a friend. We have two Macs (intel) and the two installed LR3. A Mac has the major catalogue, while Mac B never worked with LR. I know that the LR catalog is not done to access several Macs at the same time. I thought about the solution I export an appropriate Section of the images as a catalogue and once the content is labeled returned. That triggers the rest of issues:

  Once the photos Section is labelled on Mac B, how can I get the new tags back to images on A Mac? I guess that I don't have to delete the images on A Mac and then import them with new tags, I do?

  Is it possible to identify pictures offline and let LR add tags to the files once it connected back? If Yes, then I could just export the whole catalog and import more later return Section by Section, with the new tags, couldn't I?

  You export the list of keywords separately from the Mac (Metadata Menu, export of keywords...) in a text and import file in the Mac B. keywords catalog newly added to the photos on Mac B will automatically return to A Mac of the photos.

  Maybe I'm not always very clear, because English is only my third language. Photoshop was my first "love" of the Adobe brand, many, many years ago (started with version 2.5, after the death of Photostyler) and I'm still a big fan, it helps all the time (even for the improvement of the screenshots). Don't know of fireworks, I'm an academic and we're tight budgets. Always have a bunch of tests on my machine to judge existing opportunities. Very happy that I could recommend and use PS, Acrobat, Captivate, and recently the SLE. When I mentioned to be a control freak, you'll understand why I'm not fan of MS products (having to learn MS Project and always cursing it) because there are so many things behind the scenes that we can't control. PS, in particular with the latest features in CP I have never the same frustrations. Hope that this explanation is sufficient?
