  Please right-click on any PDF on your system, then go to properties > under general, you will find "opens with". Here you will see 'change' option, by clicking on it, wil give you a window from which you can choose the Acrobat Standard XI as a default for PDF files.

  Adobe offers only two download links for Pro and Acrobat Standard DC classic to Download Acrobat DC classic.  This is THE SAME file as proven by the same leaders byte and MD5 hash.  We want to evaluate the Standard version, but it installs only the Pro version.

  After Adobe Support by chat and even once said that I just need to download the Standard version from the web site, they admitted that the download is really only for the Pro.  If you already have a license it will allow you to install the Standard version (allegedly).  But if you want to evaluate the Standard version, you are just out of luck.  Hope this post follow up someone to help do not waste as much time as we did doing what should be a VERY SIMPLE task.
