How to stop Lightroom automatically open

In recent weeks, whenever I insert a USB key, Lightroom opens automatically. How can I stop this please? The Lightroom has a new graphic spikey blue, likely pushing a new version.

Under Edit > Preferences > general tab uncheck "show import dialog when a memory card is detected."

  • How to stop Lightroom (1.4.1 - I know it's old!) to automatically adjust my raw DNG file?

How to stop Lightroom to automatically adjust raw DNG files?

    I use Lightroom 1.4.1 from a CS4 installation.

I know it's old, but it works for my case, so no need to pay for an upgrade so far.

I'm shooting with a Nikon Df RAW images.  And no matter if I shoot just RAW or RAW + JPEG.

My camera creates a NEF file.

I then use Adobe DNG Converter to convert the file to DNG.

I then import the DNG in Lightroom.

My Lightroom preferences include 'none' to develop the parameters when importing.

When I view the imported file in the Panel to the POINT, there are some basic settings that have been applied.

    Temp, tinted, blacks, brightness, contrast.

Certainly, the image is "prettier" with these adjustments, and surely I can come back to '0' settings if I want to see the image of 'RAW', but that the of is happening here and how can I have the image start with no adjustment?

If he hit the "RESET" button, it returns it to these adjustments.  Confusing.

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon!

Once back to zero in the development module access to the develop menu item and search for "set default settings." A click on it. That puts the default settings for this camera images to all zeros for all newly imported images. In regards to the already imported image, you could try to synchronize and or copy it to all others.

Windows Defender is not the only way to access the startup programs.

Start button > in the search box, type msconfig > Enter > at the top, click on Startup tab > there's your list of startup programs.

Uncheck the box in front to turn it off.
Check the box in front to allow.

    Click OK when finished.

  • How can I stop Firefox automatically open and forcing myself a second tab with Google sign-in everytime I open Firefox?

Everytime I open Firefox looking for something - it automatically opens a second tab and forces me to this tab. On the second tab is the Google account login. Now, I avoid using Firefox if I can because I can't cut it.

This also happens in Mode safe? On the Help menu, you can restart Firefox's safe mode:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

In addition, under the general tab in the preferences of Firefox, what are 'Startup of Firefox' and the 'Home Page' value?

    See you soon!

I can only speak of sketch but it starts with a 'Open Document' dialog box so you can choose which files you want to open or you can click on the 'New Document' button. It does not open a Finder window. You will need to talk to the developers of sketches, if it bothers you.

I didn't upgrade because I read several reviews that said if you didn't have a touch screen that you would have difficulties to navigation in some applications. What apps not said.

What you say makes no sense and I question the validity of these comments.  Update to Windows 8.1 will do more good than harm.  Very few people who have updated have experienced problems, so comments to keep your receipt no logic.

Here's something you can do.  Download Macrium reflect free and create a hard disk image on an external hard drive, don't forget to create the rescue disk.  Once done, update your system to 8.1.  If you have any problems, then you will be OK.  If it doesn't work or you have problems you can restore the backup of the image on your system that will put the computer to Windows 8 with no ill effects.  An image backup of your system from time to time is the best thing you can do.  You will have no problems with the help of recovery disks, reinstalling programs and data.  Many people use this method and have no regrets.

Don't be afraid of it, it is a very useful tool.

How can I stop the automatic task of cleaning my trash

    Hi Alice,.

For each drive on your computer certain limit space is assigned for the trash. If you delete a file that is greater than the allocated space, this file will not fall to the trash after deletion.

To manage this space, right click on Recycle bin select Properties, on the general tab, under the section selected location setup check the custom size and keep the size you want. If the following radio button is checked then when deleting files it will go not to trash gets it deleted directly.
