How to tell if neighbors wifi interfere with mine?

I have a HP Pavilion p6610f Desktop 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP2 with more than half of my memory of 4 GB left. (not sure what is important here) I called my (Qwest) IP on wifi problems and asked them why the icon in my taskbar shows only 2 out of possible 5 bars of reception "WIFI"?

We did a thorough check and they said that he has no problem on their end and that it was probably a software program interfere.  I ran troubleshooting software and malware in Windows and Windows 'Fix - it' I ran HP virus and spyware scans.  I checked my programs and features for all unwanted or unauthorized programs may have slipped with another download. I erased all the browser caches.  I ran cleaning software.

I don't understand data on "performance data logs" there is a certain 'scream', but the overall number is the same as it was before = 4.5.    I have Windows Microsoft Security Essentials.

My computer is also buffering constantly on facebook, now, when he had not done so before.

My router is in the same place, as it has been for the last 3 years, about 3 1/2 feet of my computer.

It is actually the constant buffering that bothers me more than the absence of bars on my wifi icon, but the icon is the only thing that I have to go over there makes me think of something blocking the signal, (and what IP technology).

I contacted HP community forum and they gave me some possible things to do which did not help.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if they knew how to fix it?

And, a new neighbor moved in, (which I couldn't talk to him) all the time I have the time I began to experience all buffers.  I address secure wifi with my own password and nobody knows, because he is a little new.

Thank you in advance for your time and trouble.

Back this small black antenna important enough for me to hunt for him and put it up on my desktop?

Yes.

You have two antennas on your router... but this small black antenna, this is what allows to connect your computer to the router.  Think of it this way: in front of the cable TV, a TV station could have an antenna on top of a very large building (e.g., the Empire State Building in New York City), or at least on a tower that was several hundred feet high.  This corresponds to two antennas on your router.  Your necessary home TV antenna on the roof, or worse, a pair of "rabbit ears" on top of the TV (maybe you're not old enough to Remember these).  This corresponds to the small antenna connected to your computer.  If the antenna on the roof fell, you wouldn't get very good reception.

If when the antenna came down the wire has become disconnected from your computer, it's almost certainly the cause of your problem.  If the cable is connected, the location of the antenna can still be the cause of your problem.

Go to the back of your computer, if the antenna wire is still connected, gently pull on it.  If you're lucky, the antenna would not taken what anyone and you can retrieve it as a fish transport.  When you get it, put it somewhere near the router, or at least where there is no metal object between the antennas on the router and the small black antenna.

If the antenna wire is is dislocated and fell behind your office as well as the antenna, you will have to do some excavation work.

The answer to your question is a bit complicated.

Your Ethernet connection is a connection of 100 Mbps.  It is approximately 12.5 megabytes per second.

The part of your ZyXEL Q1000z wireless is a 'wireless-n' device, theoretically capable of 300 Mbit/s data rate.  The wireless adapter on your computer is 802.11 b/g/n, so, theoretically, you can use the full capacity of your router.  In practice, however, wireless n will give you probably a flow around 160 Mbps or which translates into 20 megabytes per second.  Thus, if you receive a good wireless connection, your wifi would be faster than your Ethernet.

As the radio connection between the router and your wireless adapter becomes poorer, either because of distance or because the antenna is disconnected or blocked by an object that is not transparent to radio signals, the wireless connection speed will decrease significantly.

It is important to remember that these speeds (data transfer rate) are transferred between the router and your computer data.  Unless you are dealing with other computers on your local network, your data transfer rate will probably be limited by the speed of your connection to the Internet.  Except if you pay a cable connection high speed, your Internet connection is likely to be much slower than the 100 Mbps which are at the nominal speed of the Ethernet connection.

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron N5050 and in recent months he has struggled to detect and connect to my wifi, but it can detect surrounding wifi. The router works fine. My iphone, kindle and windows 8.1 Dell laptop my brother can connect to it.  What should I do?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem can occur either because of corrupt network drivers or incorrect network settings.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Run the network troubleshooting and check.

  • How a microwave oven interferes with the WIFI signal?

    MICRO-WIFI INTERFERENCE

Please explain THAT HOW A MICROWAVE actually INTERFERES with the laptop WIFI signal...  How to turn off the oven microwave takes the PC adapter, for example?  When the microwave oven is off and don't use it, should also be disconnected? In the equipped cafes in WIFI, are microwave ovens, degrading the quality of the signal?

I thank very you much for your comments.
    Joe

This is caused by the fact that both microwave and most wifi routers operate at a frequency of 2.4 Ghz, there is a setting on some wifi routers that allow you to operate at 5 GHz, but this frequency moves not by walls well, insofar as they interfere, the microwave should not disseminate its frequency outside the oven microwave and most of the routers wifi broadcast in all the directions, radio waves can bounce off the walls and envelope the room and other areas as well, this isn't a line of site, so unless you have your computer very close to the microwave you should not receive any interference at all. or course, if you stick the router inside the microwave.

    Hope this helps,

The system has RAID? If so, it's also very suspicious.

This error is usually a driver problem and display adapter (video) driver is the most suspicious if she
may be others. Antivirus/antispyware/security programs, equipment (heat) and major software problems
can also cause the error. When you get to the section of the driver to use the Troubleshoot utility my generic
methods in the next message and then return to the if necessary troubleshooting tool.

Have you recently added hardware or drivers updated? Don't forget to look in Control Panel - Windows
Updates to see if all drivers have been updated it. Other donor opportunities include the antivirus/anti-
    spyware/security programs.

When you get to the pilot and sections of the memory of the troubleshooter check the following message to
update drivers and memory test and then return to the troubleshooter if necessary.

    BCCode: 7F 0x0000007E which is also 0x1000007E

    Cause

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. TO
interpret, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

    • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.

For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in theinc directory
the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Solve the problem

If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.

    • Make sure you have enough disk space.
    • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the
    • Reference of the manufacturer for driver updates.
    • Try changing video cards.
    • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
    • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2
(the address of the exception) must identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system
has been launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly,
Make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .

In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:

    • Hardware incompatibility. Make sure all new hardware that is installed is listed in the
    • List of Microsoft Windows Marketplace tested products.
    • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A service driver or defective peripheral system can be
    • responsible for this error. Hardware problems, such as the incompatibilities of the BIOS, memory, conflicts
    • and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable
or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during startup
sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe
Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the system startup procedure
in Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third remote
control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the boot of the computer service
by using the Recovery Console, and then by removing the offending system service file.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the bug check 0x7E.

You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You should also
Run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system.
For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or
Once the installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and system
BIOS incompatibilities. For problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with the absence of disc
space, reduce the number of files on the disk drive hard target. Find and delete any temporary
the files that you do not have to have files hidden Internet, backup application and.chkfiles files that
contain fragments of file saved to disk scans. You can also use another hard drive with more drive
free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.
