How to treat an XML file that uses html characters?
I need to shoot a userlist to my web application, and which means to invoke a web service on the authentication server. I managed to do exactly that, but the XML file, that I give myself to face looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body><ns1:getAllUserInfoResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns1="http://web.ws"> <getAllUserInfoReturn xsi:type="soapenc:string" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <?xml version = '1.0'?> <USER> <ROW num="1"> <USER_ID>25214</USER_ID> <LOGIN_ID>JDOE</LOGIN_ID> <NAME_LAST>JOHN</NAME_LAST> <NAME_FIRST>DOE</NAME_FIRST> <NAME_MI>Q</NAME_MI> <NAME_FI>A</NAME_FI> <EMAIL>[email protected]</EMAIL> <OFFICE_PHONE>5551212</OFFICE_PHONE> <OFFICE_STREET1>123 Main Street</OFFICE_STREET1> </ROW> </USER> ( etc ) </getAllUserInfoReturn> </ns1:getAllUserInfoResponse> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope>
I need to loop over that and get usernames, ID, rights, etc., but with her looking like that, I have my work cut out for me (I think). I don't know if there is an easy way to replace the entities in an XML file (the docs seem to be down), and if there is, I don't know about it.
Any ideas?

Assuming that you already have the XML file using something like
Note, however, that your XML file will then contain an error. The processing instruction.", occurs twice.

How to have an XML file in the app and / or installation
My application is an xml file that accompanies it (actually more than one) and contains data for the application
We choose based on user input.
Is it possible to have a resource file such as an xml file that is provided with the blackberry .cod file?
I think of how you can put a java application needs resources in the java app jar file.
If I can't do that, where these xml files should be?
I see some file access described in the forum using the SD card.
But obviously I don't want that, because these files xml are always necessary when the user starts the application.
These files are part of the application, they should not be changed by the user.
How would this work?
Thank you!!

You add the XML file to your project and get as a resource in your code.

How can I delete a file in use by demon updater?
How can I delete a file that says it's in use by Daemon updater.exe?
I have a computer with a hard drive of GB 914, who recently said that it is impossible to install a program because the disk is full. While they inspected, I found that it only reported about 200 GB of usage and after you remove files non-essential, I released 57 GB of disk space.
I made sure to show all files and installed a file tree Locator and found a log of 684 GB file but when I tried to remove it, it said that the file was not in the specified location. Then I manually found the file in system32 tree and he said that it is impossible to delete the file because it is used by daemonupdater.exe.
can anyone help please?
Credonem, welcome to the forum.
I suggest start safe mode to see if that helps with your problem. Safe mode starts only the drivers and programs needed.
Please, click on "Thumbs Up +" if I helped you and click "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

OSB: How to read the xml file, which is in OSB project
Hello
We have a generic proxy (PG1) reporting and deals alerts, this proxy is called in the pipelines of proxies anothers (P1... PN) in several projects. Each client proxy (P1... PN) PN) before call proxy PG1, configures a variable with syntactic alert or report.
We thought it would be a good idea to store the specifications for all the proxies of a project as an xml file, so that the proxy PG could read the xml file. This file will be in the OSB project.
The questions are:
-proxy can read a xml file that is in the OSB project?
S ' Please, are all the documentation for this?
Thank you
Kind regardsYou can always do customization to work with the properties defined in a XML xquery. The key to this is to use the customization of reference instead of find and replace the customization, similar to the service account customizations.
Keep your real estate to as properties_dev of env xquery specific xmls, properties_sit etc then apply customization of service proxy xquery reference reference specific correct env. -

Open the file by using wildcard characters
Anyone know how to open a file by using wildcard characters in the name.
For example, a certain folder will contain a number of files, with the name built as follows:
CALDB_ then a serial number with 6 digits and then 14 characters, which could be ANYTHING. so it might look like this
CALDB_123456_33KA1234567890.txt
or
CALDB_123457_33KA1234567890.txt
The key part of the file name is the serial number of 6 digits that is unique and the CALDB_ which is always the same.
I would like to use a command file with the name of the file as something like CALDB_123456_*.txt, but it doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone help?
Thank you
Hi Dylan,.
Along our forum, I searched and found a similar question for the use of wildcards in file selection. An active user (unclebump) has responded to this request with a VI, with which you can select a folder on your computer that is scanned for some files. I adjusted this VI to select CALDB_ files *. You will find this file (zipped), including my attached test folder.
Maybe it will be useful for your application.

Hi, using sdk native c / c ++ with playbook Simulator 1.0
I want to distribute with my application some data files that likely should fall under the ' data /' ($HOME?)
folder.
(I've written / will update them sometimes, so app/native/does not appropriate I suppose.)
in the bar - descriptor.xml, I tried adding them as an 'active '.
who drops their bottom right in app/native / *.
so I change the XML .bar to try to get them grounded in data.
Here's what I found:
by train: data/filename landed the file in app/native/data/filename
try:... /... / Data/filename received the error
by train: / data/filename received the error (hoping to slash leader was compared to the sandbox)
I even on a lark tried: $HOME/filename, who literally created file app/native / $HOME!
so he tried a ${HOME} with the curlies. I got an error saying unable to resolve the path variable.
How can I get the data files in the folder/data ($HOME) using the .bar packaging?
You cannot package the file into the data, you copy your files at startup, if they don't not exist your app/native/data for example
