  It seems to me that Adobe Reader is not set by default to handle pdf files, but Acrobat is, and so after the trial expires you are not able to view the pdf files.

  Please follow the steps below to change the default program for viewing pdf files

  Launch Acrobat / Reader.

  Click on the button "Edit" on the toolbar and select "Preferences".

  A new window would be developed. On the column on the left, Higlight the 'Général' tab and on the right hand side at the bottom there is a button called "select default PDF Handler."

  Click the button and select "Adobe Reader" by default for PDF files. Click 'OK' to save the changes.

  Alternatively, you can simply right click on any pdf file and select "open with...". ">"Choose default program"and select"Adobe Reader"in the list of programs.

  Make sure that check the option at the bottom that says "always use the selected program to open this type of file".

  Click 'OK' to save the changes.

  To uninstall Acrobat you can simply uninstall in Control Panel > programs or use the Acrobat cleaning tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  Thanks Anubha Goel, final I got it to work... The serial number in the physical box that you buy in the store wasn't the number for the software.  It was the serial number in the cloud, very difficult to know when you see a serial number in the box with the Cd online.  But thanks for the reply to my post.   Updates may be what it takes (I think that most have found it necessary for Win7). Normally, you'd updates for Acrobat to help > updates (may be in Spanish for you). It's the best way, as long as it works. Sometimes you have to start over because server clogging sometimes from what I hear.

  The other alternative is to install the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. Updates must be made in order, although some can be ignored. It is best to start with the last update and download back to the oldest update. Each update will tell you what update is needed before, allowing you to jump a little. Generally, you don't have to restart until all updates are performed, save a quite some time.
