  • How to uninstall an add-on that does not appear on my list?

When I go on my Facebook page, part of it has a message that maybe reading "ads go to save" a hundred times on the page. If I click on a photo or something, "ads browse for save" will reappear, as long as the window is open, it is almost impossible to comment/read of other comments. I clicked on the link and it brought me to browsetosave.com which gives instructions on how to uninstall from firefox.

The PROBLEM is that 'Browse to save' does not appear on the list of extensions/add-ons/plug-ins. It's happened before with an 'ad' different Web site and I had to uninstall/reinstall firefox. I was hoping to not have to do it again, especially since I don't know what is the cause. I would like to make the screenshots (although I don't see where to add it).

    Any help would be appreciated!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    Uninstall Microsoft Security Essentials v2

I only started using MSSE / MSE a couple of weeks but to note these links in case I should ever need them. [I also used to have McAfee]

2 you think I'm being too cautious and advise you to remove & reinstall MSSE.  But the problem is that you have it installed before you cleaned McAfee, so you don't know if there is some unknown defect in waiting to raise its head for the most awkward moment.  For example,.

I removed Norton from my WinXP after that I bought my Win7 PC.  I had never heard of these cleaning utilities.  I used the WinXP to TV record, but knew I was pushing it a bit beyond its specifications.

    Everything seemed fine.

Eventually, I learned how to connect my Win7 & my WinXP as a very small network domestic [well, it couldn't be little] after much pain, confusion & experimentation.

    Everything seemed fine.

I added a large external drive for XP.

    Everything seemed fine.

I shared the external HDD with Win7 and got this error message odd not having enough disk space to open the player.  The same happened then with each another external drive, I tried to share.

After beating on a hundred different forums, I found a discussion that says: 'Look here' - the link "here" has failed, but it was on the site of Norton, so I searched it and discovered that I should run their cleaning tool.

Five minutes later, I got a home network fully functional, with all its external drives, who suffered only a single problem since.

I have already installed the module "mp3download. I didn't need and not him had failed, but he occupies space in the top search bar box. I want to just uninstall and remove this add-on... Thank you

Usually, if something is added to the toolbar, it's an extension. You can review / disable / remove extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions. You will find the one you want to get rid of?

If missing the button Delete, then usually it is effective delete via Control Panel, uninstall a program. If the extension was left stranded, we hunt hard disk and remove it. But at least you can turn it off for now.

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

  • How to uninstall windows xp, it is not in my add and remove programs

I got a new hard drive put in my computer 4 years ago, it runs really bad now the guy installed xp professional, I can't do a system restore, I want to uninstall xp and install again but it is not in my Add Remove programs so I don't know how to uninstall it, can anyone help?

The only way to "Uninstall" an operating system is to delete or format the partition on which it is installed.

After saving all the data you want to keep, simply boot from the Windows XP installation CD.  You will be offered the possibility to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the installation process. (You may need to rearrange the order of the boot devices in the PC BIOS to boot from the CD.)

  • does anyone know how to uninstall web2pdf?

On the site of FireFox sync, it endorses web2pdf. It does not work, and it prevents my doing a PDF with Adobe. I need to uninstall it, but there is no uninstall, it is not listed as a program and Revo can't see it. Does anyone know how to uninstall this garbage? I have an office of Win8.

To uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please proceed as follows:

    1. In the Firefox Firefox window click on the top left and select Add-onsor, if the Firefox button is not displayed, click the Tools menu, and then click Add-ons.
    2. Once the add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the Extensions button on the left side of the window.
    3. You should now see a list of your extensions installed on the right side and buttons on the right side of each extension.
    4. To remove an extension of Firefox, simply click on the Remove button. You should see a message that informs you about the deletion of the add-on.
    5. Note that some modules require a restart of Firefox to make it disappear completely. To perform a restart of Firefox after removal of add-on, click restart now in the message.
