If you can not see IE9 under "Installed updates", and then try running the below command from a command prompt (cmd.exe) with adminrights twice . To do this:

1. click on the Pearl icon (start)

2. Click Start Search and type 'cmd' or 'command prompt' (without the quotes)

3. right click on the icon 'cmd' and choose 'Run as administrator'.

4what open cmd type this: FORFILES /P Microsoft-Windows - IE - %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages/m * 9 * .mum /c "cmd /c echo uninstalling @fname package & start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart '

    Hello

You do not uninstall Vista as such.

Vista cannot uninstall itself by Vista, formatting the drive that is installed on. In other words it cannot remove itself.

You install another operating system, removal of Vista during the installation process of the other operating system...

You don't say exactly what you are trying to do.

You can format a disk if it a second drive with the Dual Boot operating systems and leaves without data or the operating system on it at all.

    Hello RandyMeese,

There is no need to uninstall Windows Vista. Just install Windows XP and Vista will be overwritten. For more details on installing XP from scratch, see this link from my Web site: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org/how_do_i_install_windows_xp.htm

If your PC is preloaded with Vista make sure that XP drivers are available for your machine before trying to install Windows XP. You can find out if XP drivers are available for your hardware of visiiting the your PC manufacturer's Web site.

    Hello

It is not possible to update Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit.

You can do a clean install.

  • How to uninstall Windows 7 32 bit or get the clean install of Windows 7 64 bit to work properly.

Today, I bought and installed windows 7 32 bit as an upgrade from vista 32-bit, shortly after I spoke to my friend and he told me that I could have used the disk for 64-bit and Windows 7 64 bit instead, the problem now is that I can't find a way to remove windows 7 32 bits using other methods I've seen here as the file Windows.old, it isn't here. Also I cannot perform a clean Windows 7 32-bit to windows 7 64 bit installation because when I insert the disk it says that I need to boot from the disk, so I tried then whenever he says failed to load. IM fine with doing a clean install and losing what I have, because I have them the settings and files saved externally already so no need to save again.

    Thank you very much

Looks like you're stuck with a clean install of Vista's original support for start.

  • How to change windows vista 64-bit to 32-bit

I have a vista with 64-bit windows.  Is it possible to change it to 32 bits without buying new software.

If your 64 bit Vista is preinstalled, it is classified as an OEM license, and you will need to purchase a full version 32 bit/license and do a clean install.

  • How can I uninstall windows vista if it is not authentic

How to uninstall windows vista if it is not authentic

    Hello

You do not uninstall as such.

You would normally buy a legitimate operating system disk / license and do a clean install with it, by removing the non-genuine Vista during the installation process.

Or you can download this program (Darik Boot and Nuke) > make a Bootable Disk with him > Boot and wipe the hard drive of everything:

    http://www.DBAN.org/

You can buy a legitimate operating system if you want to continue to use this computer.

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

1 did you changes to the computer prior to this problem?
    2. you receive an error message?
    3. what solution did you try?
    4. What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried?

    Method 1:
You can try to start the fix - it and check. Check out the following link.
The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_update/

    Disable the antivirus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
