  I have a bit of a struggle to understand how to use external fonts in SVG documents.

  I first tried incorporating that the fonts in the document () by JSR 226, but then it appears that this is not supported on the BB, (quite old) documentation says you can xlink to an external file and gives an example:

  I looked at the http://www.w3.org/TR/SVGMobile12/fonts.html and at the bottom it shows how to use a SVG file for the police. If you used then "javax.microedition.m2g.ExternalResourceHandler" you could load the SVG and use it to move the 'police' to the ScalableImage and get your SVG rendered (theoretically).

  I have an ad container that loads a handful of resources some fonts, and some are sovereign. My problem is that the font is loaded from a url, it is registered and it works well points for textfields created in the ad container. The problem is that when I try to incorporate into the textfields in some of these sovereign funds management, it does not.

  The police charge and gets saved before the swf file is loaded. The SWF then gets an event saying to incorporate the police there as well. When checking, inside the child SWF file, the Font.enumerateFonts table () I see that the fonts have been properly registered. My problem is that even if this table shows me the fonts, when I try to incorporate into the child SWF that nothing is displayed. I even use something like myTextFied.font = Fonts.enumerateFonts () [0] .fontName, while IncorporerPolices is true and antiliasing is set to advanced.

  I tried all sorts of ways, and none does not work. The police who are responsible is stored as a library item with a link within a SWF file. Then to load a font that I load the SWF file containing the font. It works very well for the ad (main SWF) container, but not to children SWFs.

  Any suggestions?

  You should maybe create an instance of the class from the police and save the police in each loaded swf file. It is a RSL approach.

• How to use the font book

  I just downloaded some fonts on the internet.  They downloaded automatically to my font book. I've never used fonts from the font book, and I'm having a very difficult time, try to use the fonts, just download a Pages document.

  Can someone help me please?

  It would be useful if you have linked the articles you found before you write. If I know you already read about it, I would have not spent time looking for you.

  The items I linked to are quite detailed. I doubt that this would trigger the SPAM detection, though - that's just my opinion of many years dealing with SPAM.

  Regarding your last question, well, only you know why you would need it in the first place. It took years for people (and the email clients) even consider using HTML, fonts are another component of this discussion (ie. content vs presentation/container). Personally, I don't receive e-mails with too much formatting.

  It turns out that it is indeed possible to what I wanted to do.

  The police should simply be incorporated in its entirety (i.e. not a subset).

  Then you can refer to this font with its Postscript name, as all the fonts installed on the computer:

  this.getField ("FieldName") .textFont = "Garamond", for example.

  It's George_Johnson who came closest to the correct answer, when he wrote:

  "You cannot use a font that is embedded in the document, but are not currently in use with a form field."

  Among the other ways to use this font, you should be able to find it in the properties panel when you select the text tool.

• How to use the fonts "Pro slate" in pure QML/Qt C++ application?

  I want to use the slate BB10 Pro font style default in my pure C++ Qt QML/Qt App seems to see slate Pro are available but in the text {font.family: "Pro slate"} does not work, the font style is always the default for pure QML.

  Thanks for the pointer, however, the question I have is not Cascade pure QML.

  But I discovered that the default font for pure QML is already 'Slate Pro'... :))

  The SWF file can be used in the same way as the CFC, which means that you don't need to "visually show" anything when it is loaded. Your code can use the classes and assets incorporated into the SWF, just as a SWC file. So if someone just to load the SWF file to see what was in it that they see nothing. They could however access programmatically to what anyone on the inside just like you, if they went to that level. But it is not as easy as just racing as SWF to see what is inside.

  I hope that all packaging several separate sovereigns will allow you to load and unload only what you need to keep the RAM usage as low as possible with a minimum load SWF.

  I embed a font called Bliss 2 light in my library, and it has a name of bliss_light linkeage. I have a text field on the stage and in the police drop, it shows the police as bliss_light * but when executed on a pc without this font it once by default fonts of Roman style.
  
  What step am I missing to make entry filed use this font when running?

  OK it solved.

  When I looked at the properties of the input field police noticed he was referring to my incorporate the police as bliss_light *, but he had the brackets around it. This normally means that Flash can't find the police and is using one of its default settings. So first I deleted my library and police then re-inserted format, but I still have the media. Then I closed flash and it has reopened and the media. So, it looks like somewhere along the line, the police was not embedded correctly or opening on a machine that didn't have the police somebody assigned the police to Roman times!
