  So my days of ESX 3.5 I create a separate vswitch for my virtual switch Production and another for Vmotion and then connect the physical NIC I had planned on using for the production and VMotion switch.  Then I would make sure that these cards were physically connected to the trunk on the physical switch based on the vlan that I planned to use for each switch.

  So how has all this change vNetwork switches Distributed? I know that the vNetwork Distributed switch is created at the data center level, but I'm a little confused on exactly how it works. I have watched white papers, but hoped that someone could explain it in terms laymans for me...

  I did a new install of Windows 8 and have a few records that I stored stuff I now want to use it as well with Windows 8.  As with the other threads, I was getting access denied error etc and have not defined administrators group/full control permissions, but I still couldn't access readers, and my connection is type administrators.

  When I take the disk permissions with my local user rather than to the Administrators group, but, it works very well, even if no one else can access the drives.

  I am confused on how I can make this work for administrators rather than my specific user account, thank you very much!

  If you know that you are a member of the ADMINISTRATORS group, then just browse the classic desktop and open Windows EXPLORER (WINDOWS KEY + E). Right CLICK on the C DRIVE, and then choose PROPERTIES. Click the SECURITY TAB, and then click the entry of ADMINISTRATORS (computername\administrators).   If you have correctly configured oimcp/WS_CONNECTOR_OUTBOUND policy, there should not be any errors and it works without problem.  Unhappiness about using policy - is that the errors you will see when it does not work are not really useful to discover the cause of the problem.  In fact, the most useful tool I found the resolution of the problems with politics is WireShark.

  I used the strategy in multi-instance test scenarios and also support for several customers who try to use the policy.  From my experience, I guess that decryption is being ignored due to an error in your code. If WireShark gives you not with sufficient detail to indicate where the error is, I would say a SR in support to solve the problem more openness.
