• Company of Mgr 12 lost connection to the RAC databases after the restart of the EM

  
  This last weekend, we restarted our main production RAC database (name = prod, instances = prod1 and prod2) and our certification test RAC database (name = cert, instances = cert1 and cert2).

  These databases have been put up and work OK as a target in MS 12 c for a few months.  However, I was not able to connect to these databases into EM yesterday, so I rebooted the server database repository EM both of EM application server.

  As of today, I can connect to the web console of EM successfully, and I can bring up our databases not CARS.  But if I try to put in place either of our CARS (prod or cert) databases, or if I try to put in place a specific instance prod1, prod2 or cert1, cert2, I get errors like this:

  IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection

  The connection descriptor was (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = nhaoranla - oracle.nha.local)(PORT=1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = cert1) (SERVER = DEDICATED)))

  The server nhaoranla where cert1 database instance.  We use the standard port 1521 for all targets.

  Two CARS of prod and cert authorities are running, and user applications are able to connect to the two bodies.

  I have not changed anything in EM.  The only difference with last week's restart.

  I tried to restart the server applications EM once again, but that solves nothing, I get the same error.

  Any suggestions or bugs that are known for this problem would be appreciated.

  Figured out what the problem was... TCP error message indicated it was looking for nhaoranla - oracle.nha.local , but I nhaoranla-oracle in/etc/hosts on the server to OEM applications.

  Lesson learned... If you add databases to the OEM through node discovery, initially, it could work, but it will fail when you restart your server OEM if you don't have good (complete) entries in/etc/hosts.

  1. you can use "alter system set instance_name" to change the value of the instance name.

  2. you must do the following to activate the standby database (NOTE:-this is only for the activation of the backup database and not the passage to digital database)

  1 startup nomount

  2. change the base of Mount Eve.

  3. change the database activate the database pending.

  4. change the database open.

  Before you start can you confirm that you have a backup somewhere to be able to do a new restore?
  (please do one now)
  If so, you can try to delete datafile 5 of the database.

  Startup mount
  change the drop offline database datafile 5;
  ALTER database open resetlogs;

  If you are not sure that the corruption/inconsistency in the schema sys (or controlfile) went please do an export of relevant patterns and re - create the database (as indicated by damorgan).

  I created a small dashboard that uses a dynamic url for the HTTPService getting tha data for the chart. The url gets its querystring (a username) to the flashvars parameter in the wrapper. SRV. URL works great and fills in my table when the user name does not need to be encoded URL, but how can I urlencode the username that I need to do?

  I was wondering that if I have a (10g) 2-node RAC database, the database is in noarchivelog mode. Is it possible that I can do a cold upward on one instance while the other instance still works?

  It is not a (consistent) backup cold if the other node is still in place and available. When you try to back up the other node, the CNS will not work with the current SNA. Maybe you can put the other node in "read only" mode while you perform a cold backup on the other node? Haven't tried, but just a suggestion. Is there a particular reason you want to make a backup of cold? RMAN works very well.

• How to get ALL of the 'real' database table in apps/apps

  I create tables derived from drawing apps and custom drawing.

  When I connect to apps/apps, there are a lot of objects, synonyms, views that point to other tables, synonyms, views of another schema as AP, AR, GL, etc..

  What is confusing is a view contains a table attached, then it is created with a synonym of an another synonyms joined another scheme.

  How can I get the list of actual tables being accessed from these apps objects?

  I would also like to count the lines of ALL the actual tables and get their real value.
