How use align = 'right' for the text in a < dl > environment?

I use a < dl > environment to control the vertical line spacing widely (in thousands of pages).  Here's the goal:

Screen shot 2013-02-27 at 9.47.40 AM.png

But I also need to have the generation numbers, for example "2.2.1" stalled right on a page width.  I tried different ways to achieve this by using < div >, < span >, etc.  Each has unintended consequences.  The foregoing is created using < table > in the < dt > line.  But each time the W3C validator objects.

Here is my script:

Screen shot 2013-02-27 at 9.50.16 AM.png

Or, if that is easier to read:

< class dt = "type_U_XXX" > < table width = "720" border = "0" cellpadding = "0" >

< b >

< td width = "680" > Johann Peter Bayer (* 23.10.1716 Undenheim) < table >

< td width = "40" align = "right" > 2.2.4 < table >

< /tr >

< / table > < /dt >

< dd class = "col_0" > Taufpate war Johann Peter Cohn, Gau-Odernheim. < foreigners >

< dd class = "col_0" > von war of Johann Peter Bayer 1751-1788 St.Albans - Hofmann, to Undenheim.  ER ist als 'see und emsiger Mann' und "der Hof-Peter" als uberliefert.  Am 04.02.1744 his er in Undenheim < i > Anna Catharina Dapper aus Sörgenloch < /i >.  Trauzeugen waren Joh. Matthaeus Bayer und Joh. Peter Dapper. < br / > < br / > < / DD >

< class dt = "col_1" > Kinder: (13) < /dt >

< class dt = "type_U_XXXsX" > < table width = "680" border = "0" cellpadding = "0" >

< b >

< td width = "640" > Johann Bayer Mathäus (* 03.04.1745, + 02.10.1746) < table >

< td width = "40" align = "right" > 2.2.4 / 1 < table >

< /tr >

< / table > < /dt >

< dd class = "col_1" > Taufpate war Joh. Matthaeus Lahr. < br / > < br / > < / DD >

How do I right align numbers in a < dl > environment?  It must be in the line < dt >, not SD <>.  Using the < dd > line back from the left margin, which is not acceptable.

Thanks for your help.  Be very explicit.  Please show me the line or two of script that is needed, not just say for example, to use a < div > tag.

Create a CSS class selector called "numbers".

Assign the right float attribute

In the body of your page, select and apply this class by wrapping your numbers between span tags.

  • How to choose right for the WAN Interface MTU size?

    Hello

I would like to know How to determine the right size MTU to set in the properties of the WAN interface (in my case, NSA appliances).

First of all. I noticed that with SonicOS Enhanced 5.9.x, there is a Tool of diagnosis called PMTU discovery:

This tool is not available with SonicOS Enhanced 5.8.x.

I guess using this built-in tool is a way to determine the right MTU size to apply.

Second, for SonicOS versions that do not have this tool and to understand just how to manually determine the size MTU, I would like to know what is the method to follow.

On the Internet, I found this method by using the ping-f-l command. Once you have determined the largest possible packet size, it ask you to Add 28 to that number and you get the MTU size to define the interface.

    Case study:

In my business, there are 2 sites: 1 in China and 1 in South Korea. Both have a firewall SonicWALL NSA.

To determine the MTU size that is applicable from the Chinese site, I get the same results with the 2 methods mentioned above.

With the help of the PMTU discovery:

I get 2 IPs: 8.8.8.8 and the Korean FW IP WAN. I get the same result: 1500.

However, I noticed that the MTU size should be set to its maximum (1500) of size on the properties of the interface WAN for this test to work properly. Indeed, when I put in 1404 to test, PMTU discovery find 1404 such as MTU size:

    With the help of ping - f - l:

When you use the ping with FW Korea WAN IP method, I found 1472 as the maximum packet size:

According to the method I've read on the Internet, adding 28 will make me a MTU of 1500, same size as the PMTU discovery method.

My question is: can you confirm that these 2 methods are correct determine the MTU size to set the WAN interface? Especially the one with the ping command? If not, how do?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I can tell you that as technicians, we use the way to CMD line to adjust the MTU on WAN interfaces. We saw this as a number to work with.

Here's how you can get the ball on the right side of the text.

    1. Create a text frame.
    2. With your cursor in the image, hold down the cmd/ctrl key and choose the command text > fill with placeholder text.
    3. In the dialog box, choose a right to left language like Hebrew. This will fill your frame with the unwanted text.
    4. Delete the text and type in the copy that you want to appear
    5. Apply the list format bulleted text.

How to disable him drag the text selected for searching the Web?

Hmm, I did not forward. This is a new tab page with nothing to do with what you were dragging?

I wonder if this might be a feature of one of your extensions. You can see their and disable/remove those that are not essential or unrecognized, here:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

If you disable the extensions, usually a link will appear above at least one of them to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

If there is no difference, you could test mode without failure of Firefox - which is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe help

Help > restart with disabled modules

In the dialog box, click on 'Start mode safe' (not Reset)

    Any difference?

  • How it warns Oracle to use an index for the join of two tables...

How to prevent the Oracle to use an index for the join of two tables to get a view online that is used in an update statement?

    O.K. I think I should explain what I mean:

When you join two tables that have many entries sometimes there're better is not to use an index on the column that is used as a criterion to join.

I have two tables: table A and table B.

Table A has 4,000,000 entries and table B has 700,000 entries.

I have a join of two tables with a numeric column as join criteria.

There is an index on this column in A table.

    So I instead of
      where (A.col = B.col)
    I want to use
      where (A.col+0 = B.col)
in order to avoid Oracle using the index.

When I use the join in a select query, it works.

But when I use the join as inline in an update statement I get the error ORA-01779.

When I remove the '+ 0' the update statement works. (The column is unique in table B).

    Any ideas why this happens?

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

    Hartmut cordially
