How will I know if it's a 32-bit or a 64-bit browser?
While trying to install Java Runtime Environment Plugin, I was asked this:
Should what download I choose?
Choose the 32-bit download to use with a 32-bit browser.
Choose the 64-bit download to use with a 64-bit browser.
If you use 32-bit and 64-bit browsers, you need to download Java 32 - bit and 64 - bit.
So, how can I know if it's a 32-bit or a 64-bit browser?
Still, versions of Firefox from mozilla.org , including the current 37.0.2 is Win32.
So you need 32-bit Plugins for firefox Win32.
The 38.0 Firefox may be the first version to be built with Win32 Win64.
The WOW64 in your Firefox useragent is a Win32 on Windows 64-bit application.

How will I know if the processor is 64-bit
I am looking to buy a laptop Toshiba Satellite A series and said that I should get only one with a 64-bit processor because what it takes for the Microsoft Vista work properly and anything else will be obsolete as soon as next year.
I looked on the website of intel to get numbers of processors, but they don't seem to even not list all the numbers on the models for sale and it is especially goobley gook for me!
Help!
You comment is not 100% good.
The fact is that Microsoft has designed Vista 32 bit and Vista 64-bit.If you use the Vista 32 bit with a 64-bit processor you won't see a better or faster performance. Therefore, you can simply use the Vista 32 bit on the laptop with 32-bit processor with the same performance.
Of course if you are going to buy a laptop with 64-bit processor I advise to use the Vista 64-bit. You know it; Let's go all the way. ;)
But as much as I know Toshiba does not own notebooks with Vista 64 bit and you will find also all Toshiba compatible drivers for Vista 64-bit.
So now, my last question: why you want to buy a laptop with 64-bit processor?
PS: You can check the CPU specifications in the control panel or you are going to use a tool of diagnosis as Everest

How can I find out if 32 or 64-bit browser is running?
How can I know if a 32 0r 64-bit browser is being used?
If you hovver your mouse pointer over Internet Explorer 64-bit, it will say "Internet Explorer (64-bit).
If you hovver your mouse pointer over Internet Explorer 32-bit, it will simply say "Internet Explorer".
A similar principle applies if you look in IE8 using-> on the box. The 64-Bit Version says, "64-Bit Edition.

How will I know if a page is bookmark
When I bookmark on a page, I see that the star lights up in blue. However, when I come back to this page, how will I know if the page has been bookmarked before.
Before the update, there will be a yellow star on the address bar. It is no longer available.
Thank you for your help.
The star in the Navigation toolbar is highlighted blue when you are on a tab that is bookmarked.
In current Firefox released (29 and following), which are have a UI Australis, the orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the three button bar of Menu of Firefox at the far right of the Navigation bar and this button is always visible, if you have the bar of menus visible or hidden
A consequence of this situation, it is that you can no longer hide the Navigation toolbar- There is a star as the button at the right end of the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show bookmarks" button next to it to open bookmarks in a menu drop-down.
You can find "Show all bookmarks" to open the Manager of bookmarks (library) at the bottom of the drop-down list. - It is still possible to have the bar of menus visible through the context menu on toolbars to have menus like the bookmarks menu
- If bookmark you a page, then 'Bookmark this Page' in the bookmarks menu replaces it with "edit this bookmark".

I have Windows 7. My old version of windows has always shown a lock when a Web site has been encrypted and secure. I don't see that now. How will I know that it is safe to give personal information such as credit card numbers, on a web page?
Padlock is therefore more part of Firefox; It has been removed from Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection, but does not provide any additional information. You could make a typographical error, and have always been connected to a secure connection. The lock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site identity button. Familiarize yourself with the Site identity button at the left end of the address bar:

How will I know if a connection site is secure? In Safari or Explorer there is a locking visual icon in the web browser window, but not in Firefox. Is there an add-on that meets this need?
The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server. So you could always be connected to the wrong server if you make a typing mistake in the URL and someone said that mistyped the URL. The lock feature has been replaced by the identity button of the Site on the left end of the address bar (address).

http://www.Mozilla.com/en-us/Firefox/security/identity/
This has actually existed since Firefox 3.0
If you still want an icon of padlock also then there is this Extension.
