  • 2000 - 416dx: Reinstall for Win 7

I have a friend who gave me their portable computer used to work on.  It's a HP 2000-416DX.  Initially, it came with Win 7 Home Premium, but at some point, that the former owner put Win 7 Ultimate on the device.  She wants this laptop cleaned with a new installation of Windows (and does not care what version it has).  I was about to put the Home Premium on it, but it doesn't have the original supplied with the laptop, disks or disks that were used to update.  I have Win 7 media in my house, but it is Win 7 Professional.

What is the best way to get Home Premium on here?

    Hello:

The only way now if you do not have an installation of W7 Home Premium disc will be ordering a series of HP recovery discs now that Micro$ oft has deleted links to their site by Digital River for different files ISO of W7.

To order the recovery media, click on the link below, then select the W7 x 64 operating system from the drop-down.

Then click to expand the order recovery media line and finally, click the blue link for more details.

    Hello:

First install the amd chipset driver and restart. You want the 1st file listed on the Web page.

The Web page seems to like to change the order of the drivers, so just make sure you get one with the 49.7 MB file size.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64

Then you can use all the drivers and software for this model, except the wireless.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & sw_lang = & Product = 5275376

  • HP 2000-2d29DX laptop PC: keyboard problem

    Hello guys,.

I have recently encountered problems with my keyboard and touchpad. But first I turn to the most pressing is the keyboard problem. Sometimes, when I booted my computer a few keys alphabet such as r, o, m (seemingly random keys) do not respond. This problem started with my arrow keys but since moved other keys. I tried to reset my PC that did not help much, so I uninstalled the keyboard driver via the thinking Device Manager I easily find a nd downlaoad and install new drivers from HP support or elsewhere. So the problem, I could not find the drivers for my computer, I searched for the last 2 days and I am always unsuccessful and very frustrated, I can't use my keyboard and now I do all my typing via the on screen keyboard, very taxing to say the least. Help, please. Thank you!

  • HP 2000-2b09WM Notebook PC: Recovery DVD/USB for HP 2000 - 2b09WM, laptop, 320 GB hard drive.

    Greetings.

I want to restore my laptop HP 2000 - 2b09WM to factory settings, using a restore disk drive or USB.

Where can I find the disc, iso image or file?

I can't find on the site of HP, although I found it there before.

The best solution is to download an image of a DVD, burn myself.

The next best is to get the HP recovery disk, I can't seem to find it.

    Thank you.

    RCline7

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement of the recovery media using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

Note:  If the link above does not work (it is not for me at the moment), try calling HP directly.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

2 another option would be to download the Image of Windows 8 on the following link - Note this Image file is subject to a ceiling of download, you may need to try over a period of a few hours before the download starts correctly.

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg/edit?PLI=1

Use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

If you instead create a flashdrive bootable for this Image, try the free app below.

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/

The product key for Windows 8 is encrypted in your bios chip and read automatically during installation.

Software extra and you may need drivers are by entering your full model number or Nr here.

    Kind regards
