  As the topic title says, since the installation of the router WRT 310N worm. 2 on my laptop, Windows Vista, and Norton 360 can not be changed - I continue to receive operation failed errors whenever I try to download the latest version of the software updates or antivirus. • How to get gigabit on WRT 310N speed

  I don't seem to get the gigabit speed. Router lights are blue, and the user guide should be green for gigabit.

  The router firmware is v2.0.01

  Computer model of Toshiba laptop as a505-S6015 announced as having spped gigabit

  Network card in is a Realtek PCIeFE family controller

  DSL modem is Linksys ADSLME3

  Ethernet cables from the modem router and router to the computer are the two CAT6

  My ISP provides a 3.0 MBPS speed and I measured it at this speed

  So, should I not get green lights on the router port, the power to the computer?

  your laptop only has a 10/100 Mbps ethernet card.

  Network map gives suggests the same thing: it is a controller PCIe FE. FE standing for "Fast Ethernet", i.e. 10/100.

  I would say that your computer is not gigabit.

  I doubt you could do this because the needs of Draft N 3 wire antenna WLan.
  Your installed Wlan antenna includes 2 son and this is why draft N WLan card will not work!

  My router WRT 310N brick while trying to update the firmware. I guess it's because I took the version 2.0, because that seemed to be the most up-to-date, but my hardware is actually 1.0. Anyway, I tried a few things to unbrick it - cisco utility, tftp. but there is no response when you ping, I tried the factory reset, but did not expect it works since its got gibbled firmware, I think.

  Can I run it? or is there another way?

  Also, I started using an E2000 and it works fine, but when I slide to 5 GHz to 2.4, only one of my 2 machines that can connect you wireless works. They are pimps. both have identical wireless cards. Is it only a matter of range?

  I think it might be the problem with the range. You can try to change the channel on the router wireless.

• Connection to the existing network router

  I have a linksys wrt54g ver3 and wrt310n router that I'm trying to connect to the internet through a router Cisco 71. Forgive me my network skills are weak... And I jump in the middle of it. The network went from a dynamic IP address provided by a server to a static IP address when the server has been deleted, it was the only way to keep most everything up and running. (Router LAN port cisco 71 to a switch selector to the WAN port or internet the wrt54g, and wrt310n)

  When I enter the info in the router, I get ' gateway and the IP address is not even as a subnet mask. There are as follows:

  IP:10.180.111.182
  DG:67.211.68.1
  dns216.234.161.25
  DNS #2:216.194.64.160
  subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  I don't know where the last person got the static IP number from start... If it is to enter a computer works just fine.

  Correct these number was all I had to do.
