Yes. Here are the references for the best AMD HP and nVidia cards offered by HP:

1-GB card graphic-ATI Radeon HD 6450 only for 3400/3405 models 638132-001

nVidia GeForce GT530 2 GB graphics adapter, full height to be used for 3400/3405/3500/3505 (not for 3410 models) 657106-001

Your repair manuals

I looked up a couple of them on the site of parts HP and HP stupid request money for them, so my advice is to get a similar card in a store like Frys or Best Buy or online from amazon.com or newegg.com:

Something like this:

    @johnh48, welcome to the forum.

The most recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI to mie-October 2012.  The BIOS may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last cards only not for UEFI are the GTX 660/670.

Here is a video card that will give you what you need.  However, it will take a power supply (PSU) upgrade, too.  I love Corsair products.  I propose a modular power supply at least 500W.  Almost any card that meets your needs will require an upgrade of the power supply.

Press the Windows key, type in "Device Manager" without the quotes and the Device Manager select from the list that appears, or press ENTER.

In the window that appears, find graphics card and press the sign more or arrow to the left of it. It should fall down the name of the video card you have.

  • Compaq CQ58 - 299EV model of updated video card and driver for win7 64 bit and ram upgrade

    Hello

Since I was my compaq laptop (about a year), it was windows 7 64 bit operating system inside, even if the manual was for windows 8. So, when I looked up initially for up-to-date drivers I couldn't find support for win8, but I chose not to because I saw tons of compatibility issues with this model of laptop. Well I don't want to update soon, so I would like to know what are the latest drivers I can find for my model for win7 64-bit.

So, what model of video card has it built in (it just says: "Intel(r) HD Graphics"), so I can find the right drivers for it?
Also can I put my ram? There are now 2 GB.

    Thanks in advance.

Since it is a Celeron processor it comes:

Intel HD Graphics (on models with Intel Pentium or Celeron processor; supports DirectX 10)

They don't give him a number. The processor is based on the Sandy Bridge architecture, so any driver for the video card HD 3000 series will work.

Latest version of the Intel driver

This can take up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM, like this:

  • Update video card for Optiplex 980

    Hello-

I need to update my video card.  I recently started to do video and photo editing, and I think that my video card is one of my bottlenecks.  Other features of the system: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, Core i7 2.8 GHz,

I currently have a Synergy Edition PCI Express Zotac GeForce GT 430 2 GB card.  It is installed in the blue slot (if it matters).

I want to get the best map as I can for this computer.  While the money is still a problem, I really need to increase the length of time that the system needed to make the video and create previews for a catalog of Adobe Lightroom 125 000 images.   I have 3 questions:

    1. I'm not sure I understand... the PCI Express 2.0 v 3.0 and the x 4, x 16, specifications.  I am concerned to do the wrong type of card.

    2. I'm afraid that I don't have enough power for a more powerful card.  The current power supply has a maximum 305 w output power.

    3. it seems that there may be a limitation of physical size on the length of the card because of the cpu heatsink.  My optiplex, is that if large size with the CD/dvd installed horizontally on top of the case and 4 ports usb in the front.  (I have attached a file to the post with a picture of the possible interference)

    Serial number is: 4JWKJM1

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Todd

Because you have a tower with 305 w power that a card Geforce 750 TI with simple fan alias cannot exceed 8 inches works very well.

  • Problem on HP Pavilion dv7-6c90el with Windows 8 Pro x 64 on video card

    Good evening

I just finished installing Windows 8 x 64 Win7 Pro, I could find all the drivers for my laptop, but I have problems with the video card settings.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7-6c90el with two graphics cards, one managed by the processor, because it seems to do, and the other is normally installed on the PC.

The cards are read by Windows as:

Unit 1: Intel HD Graphics 3000
Unit 2: AMD Radeon HD 6700 m Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.20)

the problem lies in the fact that the device must be a supported per second, or disabled, as it will not be. AMD video card must be set to 1 and the intel 2. If I go to the "Device Manager" to disable the card intel Windows, it works as if he was absent any video card, also installed driver is not correct because the card is an AMD Radeon HD7690M XT, the problem is that even if I uninstall this driver then always comes back. I also tried to download AMD Catalyst in the latest version, but can't find the card. It's as if the windows are imposed only use the unit 1, which, however, I can not disable the BIOS, because there is no voice. I note that Windows 7 had no problem.

I ask you to help me because I need the video card for my work performance.

Fixed the link - please try again

  • Pavilion g6 2303su: update video card?

Hello.  I'm here to ask you, could I upgrade my video card on my HP Pavilion 2303su g6?  As graphics card Radeon HD 7670 M becomes older and older, I was wondering if I can get my video card to a newer model of AMD or Nvidia even?

And also if I might well want to ask you if it is possible to update my video card, to give me some recommendations or the same list of compatible video card for my laptop designs.

Any help would be really greatly apreciated!

    Kind regards

    Opticork

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable/extendable 'cards' in your noteobook.

(GPU) graphics cards, are chips that are welded and their circuit integrated on the motherboard.

The only way to update the graph on your laptop would be to replace the motherboard.

But as the graphical installation program has your laptop is the best that HP offered for this model, there is no motherboards available with better graphics.

  • HP Phoenix H9 - 1150T: NO video on an updated video card

Installation of a 370 R7 graphics card. I can adapt to and connect the power cable (500 watts). The computer starts with NO VIDEO at all. He seeks drivers and restart still no video. I watched this and it could be a bios problem. Checked relevant forum and site of video card without a son.   My motherboard has an older bios with no. UEFI. Is it possible to update the bios to UEFI support. Not searched high and low on HP sites, no chance. Megatends US to wonder about the mobo maker will mobo so see if they have an update. BTW this is for both systems are identical, they both have the same problem. Trying to avoid a call to technical support on my dime. If all else fails I will update a good not expensive mobo and re-use of ram and cpu.

Thank you any help is welcome.

. UPDATE * with several systems on hand. I realized the 370 R7 is NOT compatible with the system board. I put the R7 370 4 GB in an older HP (HPE580) and it worked. Then put the card of the HPE 580 in PHOENIX (h9 - 1150t) and it worked. It was an R9 270 2 GB. SO a R9 270 WORK of WILL and a R7 370 4 GB 2 GB won't WORK. Need a bios upgrade same MSI tech support said it was common on this model (h9 - 1150t) Phoenix. Thanks for the help!

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f: update video card

A PNY gtx 950 should physically be in a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f? I already know that I have to upgrade the power supply, but before shelling out more money, I figured I would see if anyone knew if the card fits?

    KKingotu, welcome to the forum.

The problem you will have with the GTX 950 is, it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on February 5, 2010.  There is no way to update the UEFI BIOS.  You can contact Technical Support PNY to see if they have a VBIOS update for the video card that will work with your motherboard.

Meanwhile in the space provided, you can measure e/s rear plate on the front of the computer case to see if any of the components.  In addition, it is a wide double card (two locations).

  • custom update video card in Windows vista

Well here is my problem, I recently started to play games on my PC but every time I try to launch a game, I'm down market square of steam, it tells me to update my video card driver and redirects me to this site http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect. After I scan my computer for updates I navigate through my products and my graphics driver it tellls me this

    A Intel® G33/G31driver current installed Build 7.15.10.1608 detected product

A custom computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update utility is not able to update the driver. Install a generic Intel driver instead of the driver from the computer manufacturer custom can cause technical problems. Contact yourcomputer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

So, how do I change that?

    Johnny, welcome to the forum.

When a help request, you must always include the brand / model of the computer or the monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications for them.

HP has its video designed especially for them cards run with other OEM components.  Therefore, the driver is custom.  That's why the Intel driver will not work.

If you want to play games on the computer, I suggest upgrading to a discrete video card.  This will eliminate the need for video to share system memory.  You will see an increase in the performance of the system and games will work much better.

  • Satellite A100 - update video card

Hello. Sorry for my English, I'm studying this language byself.
I ask my request seriously. I studied for a long time patterns and the possibilities of the computer.
Support the GeForce Go 7600 512 MB of video memory is officially declared, I found necessary modules of memory and replaced on the video card. I checked all currents and voltages.

Operationally, the laptop works, but defines 256 MB memory of 512 possible. If I understand this restriction is set in the BIOS or VideoBIOS.

Please, quick like me to solve this problem, any special version can eat BIOS for the increase in video memory.

Problem is that Toshiba doesn't support these updates and doesn't offer any update of the BIOS that will help you with this.
If a person make the decision to do this update is on own risk.

You can be happy that everything runs smoothly and that there is no problem some serious with him.

  • 6000 pro SFF: installing the video card on 6000 Pro SFF with BIOS 2.03

I am in train to install a video card in my 6000 Pro SFF and find that when the new video card is inserted, neither she, nor my tip on video card working.

Assuming that their must be a way to get the card to operate in the BIOS (2 786 v2.03), I'm going to the "Advanced" tab and find "PCI devices. Underside of the mentioned deviced is 'Controller VGA Intel'. Choice for this controller are the IRQ = 5, 10, 11, or disabled. Apparently, the default value is 5 because that's how it is now set.

A little scared that if I put "Disabled", which will be not only the new video card does not work, but the video card on the motherboard won't work, too.

Y at - it anyone out there that can tell me if you change the VGA Intel controller to disabled is the right way to install the new card, and that I only put my computer in a heavy paperweight by.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

I don't think you have to do anything in the BIOS.  At least, I wouldn't do anything, until you have improved the PSU to see what is happening.

Is it possible to update a video card in laptop 15 t-an000?

    Hello

It is not possible in this case like most laptops, the video map is part of the CPU (Intel HD) or just a chip soldered to the motherboard (Nvidia, Radeon).
