  No, because it is digital to analog.  Honestly, my solution to this would be to get a new TV or get the cable that I recommended and connect it to a device with HDMI that is connected to the TV.

  Hey people,

  New installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on a 8460p Elitebook. This model has an i5 vPro 2520 with an AMD 6470 M GPU. I put a 240GB SSD in there and decided to make a new and clean install of the OS.  After complete installation, with all drivers and firmware from the HP support site, but also an update of the BIOS, I have a very annoying problem.

  Whenever the laptop goes to sleep, and I try later the wakes, he only partially wakes up in. The power LED lights up and the fan kicks on as if it was on.  Wifi indication LEDs come also but only in orange, like the button mute. The HDD access LED kicks on a second when you first try and wake up but then turns off.

  This problem is really annoying and I studied him a ton how to fix, but in vain. I read tons of HP laptops with the AMD cards having this problem, but none of the solutions people have seem to apply to me. Much talk about a problem with switchable graphics and using old drivers from Intel, but the 8460 p doesn't have a switchable graphics option in the BIOS or the catalytic converter. Also, I can't seem to install THE graphics drivers intel this CPU or HD 3000 so I guess that it is locked by the AMD card.

  OK, well, after update BIOS, that doesn't fix it, I have restored the default settings within the BIOS, this fact. Computer now works fine. I wonder what setting that worked with my previous installation does not work with my new.

• EliteBook 8460: cannot scroll windows in windows 10

Having had no problem, as described previously, I unplugged both and the problem occurs very rarely. And by "rarely", I can say, that happened only once in all the time since. I spend more than 6 hours a day on my laptop and (touch wood) it has worked correctly 99.9% of the time and when he missed, I got "hooked" again and he did not fail, since then.   My laptop is out of warranty... and graphics seems to have failed. It does not start or sometimes it does, but screen goes in display odd pattern and dies.

  Is there a way that the graphic card can be bypassed/deleted?

  First make sure it is your graphics card by trying to hang the HP 8460p to an external monitor, if this does not work when it is finished.  The card cannot be replaced. the motherboard will be replaced.

  I have an Elitebook 8460p with Windows 7 and Protecttools Security manager installed.

  When I entered the BIOS, there was my user account and a present guest account.

  I'm having the same problem with my brand new 8460 p which was much discussed here: the brightness of the screen cannot be adjusted using the function (fn + F keys) then under Windows. In other threads, the problem has been resolved by installing the latest drivers for chipset (which was not provided by HP), but in these discussions, the computer was an earlier model. 8460p has the new QM67 express chipset and currently I use the latest drivers for it (according to the website of detection of intel).

  So, does anyone have a solution how I might be able to fix this annoying little problem?
