  I recently downloaded HP Deskjet and Officejet full feature software and drivers for my HP PSC 1402 all-in-One 13.1.0 because its software (driver) was lost by my friend.  The printer is connected to my PC with Windows 7 Service Pack 1, which has been upgraded to Windows Vista Home.

  Initially, the downloaded software are operating satisfactorily.  However, after uninstall/reinstall for technical reasons, it shows that "the system cannot find the file specified."  Unfortunately, I am not able to install the HP Imaging Device functions 13.0 and HP Solution Center 13.0 as required.

  I appreciate it a lot if none of technical assistance will be given soon.

  I am pleased to inform you that I have re-downloaded the software/driver for my HP PSC 1402 all-in-one and succeed in the installation program.  In the meantime, I was not able to locate L3 uninstall or L2 on my PC as shown.

  You mentioned that you were able to complete the installation. If the installation is complete the uninstall file is not necessary.

  This error occurs during the last stage of the installation. I downloaded the latest software from the HP website as well as the supposed "XP Fix", I used the HP service, I used the brush cleaning HP to completely erase the old files and re-installed.  I've exhausted ALL the options on the Web site to correct this.   The only thing to do would be to format and reinstall the OS.  It's a little extreme, but it should work.  I'm sorry, but that's the last thing I know to try.  If you try this, make sure that you back up all your data.  Good luck.

  I have solve it without help. A few key registry could not be written in \SOFTWARE, so I set the permission to write to this folder in regedit and it works!

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

  Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

  If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:
