HP elite 7500 extra video

Hello

I have an elite 7500 and I train to ad an additional video card, I tried several video card, but I always get 6 beeps... HP support says you production I've tried is not supported? so they don't help me more...

I tried 2 nvidia N210 cards, a nvidia GTX650ti and a nvidia GTX660ti, I still get 6 beeps and no video output...

I have also another power supply installed a 650W

So is the broken PCI-e port or are producing not supported?

The problem has been solved, I had to turn of some security settings in the bios

  • Upgrading power supply on HP Elite 7500 to install radeon AMD 7850

    Hello

    I really hope that you can give me some advice.

    A friend has an HP Elite 7500 and just bought a Radeon 7850. I had a peek inside. I'm a little nervous with microtours so I just wanted to check a few things.

    The PSU needs to upgrade to at least 500w. A standard power supply is suitable?

    Is there anything else I should be aware of?

    I am nervous that it is some non-standard configuration and can not find a lot of useful info to help me get started.

    Thanks and best wishes

    CaptainOnions, welcome to the forum.

    Here is the Interview Guide & Service for the computer.  What I see in the diagrams, it emerges that the power supply unit (PSU) is standard.  The ATX connector on the motherboard is 24 pins.  However, I suggest to measure and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  I love OCZ and Corsair.  They will provide clean and stable power to the system.  They are passionate about quality with a reasonable price.  I recommend at least 600W.  This will allow in the future for updates.  OCZ has done a very good modular power supply.  It is excellent for smaller cases.

    I suggest to measure the space for the video card, as well.  Allowing you to measure from the rear i/o ports to the opposite side of the computer.  Plan a boost for the power/s Connector required by the card.  The HD 7850 I have looked at has two 6-pin connectors.

  • HP Elite 7500 MT Series: HP Elite 7500 series MT wifi

    My HP Elite 7500 MT series can be configured for wifi? If so, how would you please?

    I didn't have problems with mine about connections ignored, although I don't broadcast several movies on them.

    I was able to do it a few times and have no issues.

    I have 3 of them on 3 different HP business computer (dc7800, 8000 Elite, 8200 Elite) all current enforcement office on windows 10.

    You use the W7 driver that comes in the box.

    Dual band means that the device can send and receive on both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands.

    Get you about twice the speed of connection on the 5.0 GHz band if you band of 5.0 GHz of your router Wireless N the value only.

    I have my 2.4 GHz band put on joint (b/g/n) because I still have a couple of old HP business notebooks that can only connect wireless G.

    I never turn off mine, would be the only way that I know how to do: go to the Device Manager, expand the device of the network adapters category, right-click on the adapter Linksys AE3000, and select Disable.

    Then just repeat the process to activate (enable).

  • My hp pavilion elite hpe-204f video does not work

    My hp pavilion elite hpe-204f video does not work so I replaced it with another video card that worked. After installing the card and start the system I saw the video on my monitor. Great! I need to replace my video card. No problem.

    Afer by purchasing and installing a new video card, I have no video. I put a new one in another computer. This works. I put the video card which worked yesterday... that did not work.

    Then, I put the original video card that I thought that did not work on another computer and Yes... it worked.

    Should I assume that I have a bad graphical location on the motherboard? If so, short of buying the same motherboard is there anything else I can do?

    Thank you very much for the research.

    Hello

    The integrated video processor still works when the video card is removed?  If Yes, then try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn.

    If the above is successful, then re - install the map graphic and clear the CMOS.

    Another thing to try:

    A good cable video know.

    A known good monitor.

  • HP Elite L2201X - no video in BIOS

    Hi all... I'll start with the plug.

    1 = HP Elite L2201X monitor

    Monitor 2 = LG L226WT - BF Flatron

    Video card = EVGA GTX 570 HD (with Display port)

    PC specs = Intel Pentium Core 2 Extreme (4 GB RAM)

    OS = Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - AND - Linux Mint 10

    Problem = using only the HP Elite L2201X plugged into the video using the manufacturer card display Port Display Port that shipped with the HP Elite monitor cable... There is no video when the PC is started.  You can not see the BIOS or Boot Menu GRUB from Linux.

    Attempt 1 = testing various adapters and cables (DP to HDMI, DP to DVI - D and another DP to DP cable).

    Result = no video

    Attempt 2 = Hot-Plugged DP DP in the my work (Lenovo W510 with Display port) during execution of Windows 7 PC.

    Result = HP monitor turned on and cloned the Windows desktop.  I know the monitor and delivered the work of DP cable.

    Try 3 a = HP plugged into main PC using DP to DP.  LG monitor plugged DVI - D.

    Result = BIOS appears ONLY on the LG DVI - D monitor.  White screen on HP (light orange sleep all the time).

    Try 3 b = LG monitor to help, on the start screen for Linux, continued to load Windows 7 with two connected monitors.

    Result = finally turned on HP and took control, as monitor 1 in Windows.  LG became the 2nd display Windows.  Once again, this proves the monitor and delivered the cable work of DP on this PC as well.

    Then... the question is... I don't have 2 monitors on this PC.  Remove the LG monitor and leave only the HP Elite... I never see the BIOS or the Linux boot menu (this isn't a driver problem because it is before all the OS loading).  So, how to solve this problem?

    Just to add... I bought the graphics card EVGA GTX 570 HD ONLY because of this monitor needing a Display Port adapter.  I had already tried and has invested in the DP to HDMI and DP to DVI - D adapters and they do not work on the old card.  Since then, he has worked directly with my laptop to work, because he had a display Port so no adapter was needed... I thought that my old GeForce 8800 GTX was not just conversion right.  I realize now, is not the case and this is something with this monitor specifically.

    If HP... or someone else... How can I solve this problems?  Forget the OS I installed.  Suppose that I just bought a new PC which is not preloaded and I hooked this monitor HP.  At least... I should be able to see the BIOS.

    Any help is greatly appreciated and I know that others have the same issues.  I just, I saw not only the question clearly stated in any other thread... so why I start this one.  Maybe I can save people $300 on a new video card... like what just happened to me.  =)

    Thank you!

    -Shawn "ZenTsang.

    Hello

    Check the BIOS if you can alter the output of dp.

    > I thought that my old GeForce 8800 GTX was not just conversion right.
    > I realize now this is not the case and this is something with this monitor specifically

    I don't think that - dp has other signals than hdmi or dvi.
    PD can deliver dvi or hdmi, as the source switches to the old configurations, but most older dvi or hdmi sources don't know dp, so cannot deliver the right signals.

  • HP Pavilion Elite m9340f replacement video card and power supply

    Hello

    I bought my HP Pavilion Elite at Best Buy m9340f in 2009 and brought it to the Venezuela where I live now.

    My video card, started making the noise of the typical fan geforce 9500gs can do. The temperature of the gpu is very high (from 73 ° c without playing or watching videos!), and I'id like to replace it as soon as possible before my material fails completely.

    But the power supply 350w, to replace any video card decent needed to change my diet too. I have not the slightest idea of what type of power supply should I buy, and if I should replace the case too. My intention is to keep my cpu, my mother, my hard drive and my ram (purchase of a new system to the Venezuela is out of the question because of the barbarian prices in this country).

    Then to take the questions in order, I'll here:

    -I want another video card (geforce 9500gs is known for his failure, so I want to upgrade to a more powerful card)

    -To do this, I need another power supply, so I need recommendations on the provision of market models which CORRESPOND to my HP Pavilion Elite m9340f or

    -replace also the case: what kind of business should I need that corresponds to the motherboard of benicia

    Thanks in advance

    The information below was previously published by Big_Dave in response to several other posters about their questions about GPU upgrades. Prices shown are in U.S. dollars and for American retailers.

    Your PC has a 350 Watt PSU if below video cards will work:

    $50--->NVIDIA GT 430 9.6 Gbps - single slot width

    $65--->NVIDIA GT 520 8 Gbps - single slot width

    $80--->NVIDIA GT 440 25.6 GB/s - single slot width

    $130-->NVIDIA GT 545 43 Gbps - location single width - could be hard to find but perhaps only in the store

    $110-->NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5. 54.4 GB/s - single slot width. This card does not support DirectX 11 which is eventually used in some of the latest PC games but it's a great performer.

    Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

    I normally don't recommend video cards AMD for PC with a 350 Watt power supply as AMD provides 400 watts or more for most of its video cards.

    Hello

    The NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5 (if you can find one) or the NVIDIA GT 440 1 GB DDR5 would be a good choice.

  • HP-Pavilion Elite 410y: the video card upgrade

    Can I switch my video of a 6500 R7-200 series card?

    Yes.

    It is snly if you buy a model that has a legacy BIOS compatibility.

    Sapphiretech cards that have inherited the BIOS compatibility and some who have actually a physical switch on the map to allow switching between UEFI and compatibility existing BIOS. See the catalogue following Sapphiretech.

    R7 of the Radeon HD 200 series video cards requires a single PCIe power connector 6 pin. Your office has not been handed over with a power supply that feeds it, then you must also upgrade the PSU. Choose a nice modular unit by a manufacturer as a Corsair. The generator units are highly regarded and reasonably priced

  • Pavilion Elite m9452p: Flying Blind with a HP Pavilion Elite m9452p - no video at all - HELP!

    It is a Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor Intel PC with 8 GB of RAM and 750 GB drive HARD + 1 TB back up drive running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (it came with Vista 64-bit home edition Premium, but updated for win 7 just now).

    It has always worked perfectly, but last week there was no video at all when I turned it on. The monitor says 'No Signal' on an otherwise black screen when turned on.

    HDD lights indicate activity and I can hear readers spinning and the LEDs for the DVD and the wireless signal light up as well.  In addition, ports Ethernet led Flash and show activity, as does the DVD player if I put a disc, but no video at all.

    I did the following to try to resolve this problem:

    1. I checked the monitor I was using is working;

    2. I always connected this PC to another monitor DVI to work with no luck.

    3. I have connected the PC to a working VGA monitor with no luck.

    4. I connect the VGA monitor to the VGA port, integrated with no luck.

    5.i tried to boot in the BIOS, but there again, no video is not sure if it goes to BIOS or not;

    6. I have read somewhere that the built-in VGA port will not work if a video card is present, so I removed the video card of exisitng and connected to the VGA integrated with no luck;

    7. I bought a replacement video card (it came with a MSI V240 500 MB PCIex16 card and got a card XFX Radeon HD 5450 1 GB PCI ex16); I installed the new card and tried again without success;

    8. I don't remember if this PC was set to beep on the POST before he always started quickly and without problems. Now that I'm looking for any beeps, I don't hear everything but yet once, can't remember if it still beep before;

    9. looks like it's a hardware problem, but I also tried to boot from a drive of W7 64 Bit repair, but even once, no video so don't know if it works.

    The last thing I remember having seen it was a Windows Update I think to include an optional update to the video driver. I don't remember if I acdcpeted that one or not, but it seems to me that the drivers for the MSI card (nVidia, GE Force pilots I think) that does not correspond with an AMD Radeon graphics card drivers - this is why I opted to get the Radeon card).

    I have not tested the original map, mainly because I don't have any PC with which test (I have a Core 2 Duo Pc with a PCI slot ex but not an ex16 PCI card. I don't know if this card would be retro-compatible with this PC or not).

    I vaguely recall disabling the onboard VGA in the BIOS, but do not remember if it is with this PC or another.

    I hope someone has a way to put video on so I can uninstall all recent drivers or updates that may have caused this (or I can enable VGA integrated in the BIOS).

    I sure hope the MoBo is not messed up (it does not fuel upward hard drives, the DVD player and the fans, etc.) but with no video, it is difficult to know what is happening.

    Help!

    OK - SOLVED!

    After re-reading my post, I realized that if the BIOS for the integrated video card setting had actually been changed, I could re - put these default settings by resetting the CMOS.

    I had not tried to clear the CMOS by the cavaliers to the MoBo, so I'm the manual MoBo and I cleared the CMOs (which would reset the BIOS to factory settings). I restarted the PC and voila! I now have the video!

    Sometimes the simplest things will solve the whole problem!

    I felt bad that I couldn't solve this problem, as I can usually solve everything that came out on any of my systems, but here I answer my questin oiwn and solved the problem - I hope this will help others too!

    Yes, a new video card erases a large number, if not all of your games graphics problems. The problem is that you will need to replace your power supply by a more powerful to support a class game graphics card. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are excellent choices because they are favorite forum and known to adapt to many cases of HP without problem. Please see Guide of Big_Dave for the selection of a discrete video card for information about the choice of a graphics card.

  • Pavilion Elite M9066.sc video card

    Hi all!

    I'm having trouble installing my new GPU (Asus Ati Radeon HD EAH5670). And uninstall my old driver (NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nforce 430) cards.

    First of all; Windows (win732bit) does not recognize the new card. If the map seems to work fine when it is plugged. I installed the drivers, still nothing.

    The problem with the old driver is; Whenever I uninstall it, it disappeared, but when I restart my pc Windows says he has detected new hardware and installs the driver to return. Even when I uninstalled and then installed the drivers for the new card. He always does. And when there is no video plugged card at all it still found.

    I've tried everything I know to do, I fought with it all day and night... Now, I'm just all out resource. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it a lot!

    Turn off the PC and try clearing the CMOS.

    Turn on the PC and go into bios (setup) and make sure that the bios will recognize the new card in the video slot PCI-E x 16.  If the card is not recognized by the bios, then the card is probably not compatible with your motherboard and bios.  I have seen this situation with older PCs and video cards ATI 5xxx.

    There is another possibility. Your PC has a 300 Watt power supply unless you have upgraded.  The ATI 5670 requires a power supply of 400 watt, at least this model VisionTek ATI 5670 requires a 400 Watt power supply.

    Hello:

    From what I can tell, your PC has the IDT audio chip.

    The problem is that HP has a problem with the pages of pilot and there is no 32-bit audio driver not listed for any operating system for your model.

    Because I do not work for HP, I don't know when they will have the problem solved.

    I'm sure that this driver audio 64-bit will work for you, but of course, you need to install a 64-bit operating system.

    This package provides the driver for the solutions Audio IDT high definition in the supported models that are running an operating system supported.
