  Most HP models come with different configurations. Otherwise, it may or may not come with a bluetooth device.

  Here's how you can check:

  1. make sure that you have the HP Wireless Assistant installed.

  2. If you see the app, click on it and see if a bluetooth device is listed and put in operation. If it is listed and turned off, then simply click on the button "activate".

  3. now go to your control panel > system and security > click system.click on Device Manager. To the top of the list of devices, you should see a bluetooth icon if you have a bluetooth device installed.

  If it is not present in the Device Manager and not present in the wireless assistant, there is one last place to look. Some people will tell you to look there first, but if you are not familiar with navigation on the BIOS, it is preferable that you stay out of it.

  4. restart your PC and go into the program in the system setup (BIOS) by the removal of the F10 key to the HP splash screen. Go to the configuration menu of your device and see if there is a bluetooth device listed. If this is the case, make sure that this option is enabled. If it is not in your BIOS, you don't have a bluetooth device in your particular notebook.  The part number indicated at the bottom of the laptop is what determines what this particular DV6 laptop is configured with.

  If the driver is successfully installed, I don't know why the wireless still doesn't work.

  I don't know anything about troubleshooting network connections if the hardware drivers are installed.

  I use LG laptop with 64 bit Windows 7.

  Long story short, I can't pair the device with my laptop suddenly!

  It worked normally up until now, then suddenly I lost the connection with the device.

  I went through a normal routine; remove/disable the device on the computer, switching on of the appliance then unplug the batteries in order to ensure that it is reset, install the latest version of the IntelliType software, etc..

  After all this, laptop computer detected the device successfully, but when I tried to pair it, the usual password dialog box will not be displayed, which has prevented and continues to prevent me to enter the code to complete the pairing process.

  If I type random characters/numbers with this keyboard and press, the pairing routine ends just as it does if I pair it with success.

  Only difference is that since I typed an 'incorrect' code, the pairing process will fail eventually.
