  Blindly install Realtek AC 97 and High Definition audio codecs seems to me a very bad idea!   In fact, Realtek discourages it.  The text below is lifted directly from the web page of Realtek High Definition audio codec download:

  Contact your provider for specific instructions.  If they provide you with a recovery disk, they usually provide an installation/restore partition or a directory of installation, sometimes to c:\i386.

  Hello. A few days ago I faced a bad experience with my laptop HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC. System crashed. At any time, I tried to turn it on, an error message appears and the system was blocked.
