HP Officejet 4500 stopped printing envelopes

Monday, I printed about 100 envelopes #10 from the merged Word format.  No problem, until that I ran out of envelopes.  I bought more Tuesday and tried to print the rest of the file (about 40).  Would not print, no matter what I did.  I ended up uninstalling everying associated with the printer and reinstall.  On Wednesday, it would not print envelopes, but it was the impression of other things, so I re - merge data and tried again.  And it worked. YES!  Had no problem whatever it is printing the rest of the day.  Then today (Thursday), I tried to print one envelope in the menu "mail merge" and guess what?  It will not print an envelope.  The envelope feeds to where it should start printing, but then the printer just sits there, with the 'Impression' on its screen.  But it is not printing.  He's sitting.  Finally, he passes in energy saving mode.  I have tried everything I can think - changing the settings of the printer, the printer program, in Word. Once I loaded the envelope upside down and it worked.  Then (WITHOUT CHANGING anything ELSE!) but when I put the envelope in the right side upwards, it does the same thing.  Yet once, it will print to OTHER things, not only a shell.  Very frustrating and I'm about to throw this $# * printer $ out the window.  Help, please.

Hello libinway,

Thanks for your information. As you said, the printer is capable of printing other than the issue, it gives you with envelopes, so the problem is most likely in the hardware (printer itself) or it is in Microsoft Word. I would like to target these two objects and work from there.

First, when it comes to the printer, the rollers may have a problem picking up envelopes so I recommend the cleaning rollers and also to reset the printer and make sure that it is connected directly to a wall outlet, avoiding bars, surge protectors, etc. This part is important and have seen the correct flow of questions in the past.

First of all, please follow this guide: the all-in-one is not get or paper feed

If the problem persists, run the HP print and Scan Doctor to pick up and correct the printing problems.

In addition, to perform your Windows updates, select same "optional" updates Install Windows updates

You can also change the power method to see if that helps the printer picking up envelopes.

I hope that this helps, please let me know if you are still using questions and I'll do my best to help you!

Take care

  • The Officejet 4500 wireless printer can work wireless with a Wireless N Router?

Hello, you printer HP Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-One Printer - G510n cannot work in the band ONLY, but your new router can be configured to accept the 802. 11b / g wireless protocols and be able to continue to use your printer. • HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer does not appear on the control panel

My HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer does not appear on the control panel.  How to fix it.  I have a laptop Toshiba and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.  Help, please.    rwillm

    Hey,.

Thanks for the update, rwillm.  It seems that the installation of the printer can be a little messed up.  If the printer software is always installed, but simply lacks the printer, then I would advise to do a little cleaning before choosing to add the printer back.

    • Make sure that the printer is deleted from the file devices and printers
    • Click on one of the remaining printers folder
    • Select the properties of the print server at the top of the window
    • Click the tab drivers
    • Remove all drivers in this window for the Officejet 4500

Also check in the Device Manager to verify that there is no mention of remaining of the 4500.

    • Click on the start menu
    • Right click on computer
    • Select manage in the list
    • Click Device Manager in the list of questions on the left side of the window that opens
    • Click the view at the top of the menu, and then select Show hidden devices
    • Remove all references to the 4500 in the list of devices

After making sure of the device is gone, I recommend bike devices in the power circuit: router, computer and printer.

    * Make sure the printer has a valid IP address after switching back on and is connected to the same network as your PC before adding the printer.

If the IP address and SSID are good for the printer, then try to add the printer with the printer software, you have installed.

    • Click on the Start Menu
    • Click on all programs
    • Open the HP folder
    • Open the folder for the series of the Officejet 4500 G510
    • Select Add a device option

Let me know how it goes,

    Jason

  • implement the officejet 4500 to print documents from my ipad

How do I configure my Officejet 4500 wireless to print documents from my Ipad?

If the Officejet 4500 Wireless is configured on a network, then you print an app on the iPad.

There is an application called HP ePrint home & Biz application which can be downloaded on the iPad.  This application allows a user to print from mobile devices such as the iPad.

For more information on how to use the home & Biz application click here.  I hope this helps.

  • Officejet 4500 wireless printing fails even if connected

I have an Officejet 4500 G510n z connected to a wireless network.  The wireless network is on a different subnet than my cable network.  I can ping and navigate on the admin page to the printer from another laptop wireless but I can't ping or connect to my Wired subnet admin page.  I am able to ping my desktop wired to other devices on the same wireless subnet.   Help, please.

    Hi 2243588,

Because the wireless network is on a different subnet so your wired network and your printer is located on the wireless network, the printer will be able to communicate with devices on the wireless network.

To resolve this problem and allow all your devices communicate with each other, you must be on the same subnet. There is no real reason to implement 2 subnets unless you have more than 255 computers. The essence of subnetting is to reduce your broadcast domain when you manage a large network. Is there a reason that you use 2 subnets?

I found a thread that you may find useful, please take a look > establishing a network with 2 subnets.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet 4500 510n - print jobs stuck in the queue when using wireless

    Hello

I bought just a new Officejet 4500 510n yesterday and I have a Dell with Windows 7 64 bit laptop that I connect to the USB or wireless. The reason for this is that sometimes, the laptop is not right next to the printer and we need to print things (for example, my wife works upstairs sometimes with the laptop and the printer is downstairs in the living room). I was able to get the configuration of the printer on both the wireless and USB without any major problems and it prints fine when I print via USB. However, when I print wireless, the print job appears in the queue and shows that it is printing, but he never curls work all the way. The work gets "stuck" while waiting in line, for example, it gets stuck at 772 bytes of 940 bytes

I downloaded the HP Print Diagnostic here tool and ran it and and it passed all the tests first time. However, when I goto the last test, which is to print the test page, it sends the print job to the queue and then everything gets stuck as indicated above. I was able to cancel the job and it comes off very well, but restarting the work does not work, it just get stuck again. Meanwhile, I don't get ANY error messages at all.

Here's what I've done regarding troubleshooting:

    -Ping the printer - spent

-Restart the service print spooler - no change to the problem

-Check that the printer is set as deafult - spent

-Update of HP Ran to ensure there is no missing updates - found 2 updates and install them

None of the above has solved the problem, so I'mm this ad here in the hope that someone may have had this problem before and fixed it.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the reply.

It turns out that I could solve it myself. I went to add the printer wireless on another laptop, I have here on my home network and it printed a page of test very well, so I thought it must have been a bad installation on the main laptop.  I removed everything and reinstalled as a wireless printer, and it worked perfectly. Amazing what can make a bad installation.
