Hello:
The best thing to do is to run the analysis of crucial memory tool.
It will report how much and what kind of memory you can install.
http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/systemscanner
Here is the link to your computer laptop manual page.
Chapter 1 of the service manual will provide the info to upgrade memory and Chapter 5 or 6 should be the procedures for removal and replacement of memory.

My hard drive is dead and he needed replacement. Did. Had initially been Windows8, but upgraded to Windows 10. Impossible to re boot with drives of resettlement. Need BIOS startup specs, screen info to use disks.
Hey Bettyboophume,
No worries! If you have recovery media, you should be able to put it in and have the laptop back on it. However, just in case where that is not the case for you, there is a document called configuration of the Boot in the BIOS system order.
The boot order can be configured on the Advanced tab in the BIOS Setup menu. The procedure for changing the boot order may vary according to the model of the computer.
HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of g7, on page 90, Chapter 7, backup, restore, and recovery (Windows 8) you will see that it says:
Change the order of computer startup if the computer does not restart in HP Recovery Manager, you can change the order of the computer startup, which is of the order of the devices listed in the BIOS where the computer searches the startup information. You can change the selection to an optical drive or a USB flash drive.
To change the boot order:
1. Insert the HP Recovery Media, that you have created.
2 restart the computer.
3. press on and hold esc while restarting the computer and then press f9 to boot options.
4. Select the optical drive or you want to boot from USB flash drive.
5. follow the on-screen instructions.
I hope this helps!
I would like to know how it goes

Update HP Pavilion-e070sl RAM of 4 GB
Hi, I need to know what is the maximum. memory allowed for my laptop. I have 4 GB DDR3 1600 (800 Mhz). I did find a few features of the HP site.
AIDA wrote:
Types of memory support DDR3-1866, DDR3-1600, DDR3-1333, DDR3-1066 SDRAM
Maximum memory amount 16 GB
Here is my profile: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03924954
Useless info on the site:
Codice prodotto F1Y31EA
Chipset Intel HM76 Express
Memoria 4 GB di DDR3L
Memoria di slot DIMM 2
Thanks in advance!
Actually, the repair said that the max is 8 GB:
Page 4
Crucial.com said as 8 GB:
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Pavilion%2015-e071ee
This is not your exact model, but the same material.
I say 8 gigs. 16 could work, but I wouldn't risk it since the essential will not guarantee compatibility.
If you find a provider memory ready to ensure 16 concerts will work, then I would buy it.

HP pavilion 15ab273ca: ram
Hello
I have hp pavilion 15ab273ca and I want to increase my ram 12 GB to 24 GB. is this possible? If yes then should what kind of ram I buy? Please please type full name which one is compatiable for this laptop
Thank you
24 concerts? # The maximum is 16 concerts. You have a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module and to 16 gigs, you will need to remove the 4 GB module and replace it with a module of 8 GB. This is not a simple procedure and requires significant disassembly and technical skills.
Upgrade memory appears on p. 55 of the manual here:
8 GB module part number:
8 GB (DDR3L-1600) 693374-005
I see no need to buy 2 x 8 gig memory sticks for compatibility. The foregoing will be compatible for half the price.

HP Pavilion dv6765ev RAM upgrade
Hi all
I have a laptop Hp Pavilion dv6765ev, I own since April 2008. It came with a total of 2 GB of RAM (2 x 1 GB). Since he is already 6 years old, I make a few changes (for example, I ordered an SSD to replace the original HARD drive), and I was thinking about upgrading RAM.
I would like to be sure what RAM purchase. If I'm not mistaken, I can be upgraded up to 4 GB, (2x2gb) DDR2? For example, the following package is ok?
MUSHKIN 996559 4 GB (2X2GB) PC2-5300 DDR2 SO-DIMM 667 MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT
Do you have a specific brand to offer? What should I pay attention to?
Thanks in advance!
Corina
Hello
This is the Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01295877.pdf
The RAM config you have chosen is appropriate for your system.
I don't know the details of the brand, but it has good rating in newegg-
http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820146697You can put the sticks of 2 memory replacing more permeable both.
For related information:
The reference numbers in the manual for the replacement if you place your order through the post HP store are:
http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=453774-001http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=457437-001
They are replaced by this new part-
http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=598858-001http://www.Amazon.com/GP/AW/d/B00350GJWA?pc_redir=1407318668&robot_redir=1
Thus, 800 MHz is backward compatible with 667 MHz too.
This CRUCIAL RAM is good too:

G7-1329wm Pavilion: 1329wm RAM Dual Channel. Update the bios?
I bought 8 gigs of RAM laptop for my G7-1329wm Pavilion. Here it is:
http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B00OUK919M?PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00
It is already much faster than what I had before. My problem is that I expected to run at a speed of 2133 MHz and dual channel mode. CPU - Z does not have these results.
The two RAM slots show the same thing.
It made me start to wonder. Maybe my cell phone does not support dual channel mode or these speeds. So I was wondering if I could do a BIOS update if everything goes well accept more modern equipment and their speed. I checked in CPU - Z that my bios is old path, return from 2012. I couldn't find any support for an update through HP. Can an HP expert please let me know what I can do to get the most out of my RAM speed?
Repair:
DDR3/1333 MHz (DDR3-1600 (1 GB / 2 GB / 4 GB / 8 GB) modules of memory supported as an alternative source for the DDR3-1333)
So max the card/motherboard/BIOS processor speed will allow the memory runs is at 1333 mhz. I'm frankly surprised the memory you have installed works at all. It's the equivalent of putting gasoline in an engine that can be only ordinary.
The problem goes well beyond BIOS. The chipset can operate at the maximum of 1600 mhz, and HP has set up to run at 1333.
It is the specified memory:
Memory modules (DDR3 10600 1333 MHz 2): 4 GB 621569-001
It may seem paradoxical, but your laptop can actually run a little faster and in double channel if you put in the slower memory. You can see there is a lot of information in gray in the CPU - Z I think because the system is not able to see all the technical features of memory, that she does not expect to be there.

Hello
What is the maxium size & speed of Ram my Intel HP Pavilion dv7-1262us can support?
Any help is very appreciated.
Thank you.
You are the very welcome.
The chipset certainly supports up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB), but the BIOS can not.
I have a HP Elite notebook with the same chipset Mobile Intel 45 6930p and I run 2 x 4 GB of PC2-6400 in mine.
But I have no idea if you can get away with that on your consumer class specifications when the manual does not indicate 8 GB.
The service manual for my phone say it can take 2 x 4 GB memory PC2 6400.
$100 dollars for every 4 GB PC2 - 6400 stick noise, it's much too much money to risk on a bet.

G6-1051ex Pavilion: pavilion g6 RAM upgrade.
Hi, I own a g6-1051ex pavilion, I wanted to upgrade the RAM, but the manuals say "expandable to 4 GB. The factory provided that RAM is 4 GB, would it be possible to add another 4 GB to 8 GB? Please explain why the service manuals limited upgrade to 4 GB. What are the technical advantages and disadvantages if I add another 4 GB to 8 GB which exceed the limit? Thank you.
Hello
Perhaps due to typos. You can upgrade to 8 GB max, please check the pages #2 & 3 of the last document on the following link
