HP Pavilion 25xw: new monitor - Hp Pavilion 25xw

Hello

You just bought a new HP Envy 750-129cb here in the Canada, and it is great... but one thing:

It came with a HP Pavilion 25xw - Moniotor

(1) I do not think, but is the touchscreen monitor? It is not currently, but maybe I'm missing something?

(2) it doesn't seem to be any built-in internal speakers - is this correct?

Thank you very much.

It does not have built-in speakers. You're not missing something, this isn't a touchscreen

  • New monitor S2031 incompatible with new Pavilion P7 - 1108P?

I recently bought a Pavilion P7 - 1108P with Windows 7 (64) for use with an HP S2031 LCD monitor 9 for my accountant home based business. The Pavilion has an AMD A4 - 3400 APU with Radeon HD graphics card. There is no VGA port at the back of the computer, only two DVI - D ports. I connected the new monitor to the new computer with the single-link DVI cable supplied with the equipment. My problem is with the display; It is huge and pixelated and won't work with the accounting software I need to use. On the page of screen resolution, the display is listed as 1. Monitor Non - Generic PnP "with no other options available, and the resolution is set to 640 x 480 and disabled with no other option." I tried to install the drivers on the CD supplied with the monitor, but nothing changes. I also downloaded the drivers from the HP website for this monitor for Windows 7, but the computer says that it was not properly installed. After three hours on the phone with HP Tech Support, I was told that the monitor was not compatible with the computer. I did my homework before buying, the specifications of this status monitor is it compatible with Windows 7, which miss me so much? Any help would be greatly appreciated... I left my job full time to start this business there are 4 weeks and I need to get up and running as soon as POSSIBLE!

    John, your video card has a maximum resolution: 2560 x 1600 (digital).  A 22 '' LCD native resolution is 1680 x 1050.  Then, you're in good shape.

Here are a couple of good HP monitors:

  • Getting NEW monitor for my system to APU AMD P6-2133W - a few Questions?

    Hi all

Get a 20-inch 1600 x 900 HP and I was wondering if I'll have any lag in games, or whatever it is, ranging from a screen size 17 inch 1280 x 720?  I know it is a big jump, and when I bought this machine in June does not then check all monitors.

Some of my friends say game will be terrible on this APU system and lag as possible with the new monitor, so a little scared now, monitor arrives tomorrow

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6-2133w. According to the specifications, this model uses a processor AMD 3620 A6 w / integrated graphics Radeon™ HD 6530 D. change the monitor will really affect the graphics or cause delay. The APU and its integrated graphics are where you can encounter a problem. The only way to overcome these potential problems is to install a more powerful APU (such as the A8-3850) or a discrete graphics card and power supply.

  • Pavilian 25 xi: Pavilian new monitor will not 'see' my DV - I or HDMI connectio

New monitor (Pavilian 25xi) won't 'see' my conection by DV - I or HDMI.

I plugged the DV - i cable that came with it, first.

The monitor sought the conection, it then sold it is "inactive".

I added the VGA and VGA cable was, then, 'active' and worked.

I went out and bought a goold plated and used HDMI cable.

It has also assigned "inactive". I tried to turn on the PC after that the monitor was on... no difference.

All the good ideas I should try?

I was not able to get ' support' to work either, but I will keep trying.

    Any advice?

    Hell, @firmpillow,

I understand that you do not get the activity on your HP Pavilion 25xi monitor. What input you have your monitor for? Based on what you posted should be on DVI. I'm you provide a HP support document: connection to a monitor or TV to your PC using HDMI (Windows Vista), which will help you to make sure it is properly connected.

I hope this helps, but if you still need assistance please be sure to answer the question that I asked. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a VGA DVI-adapter.  Tonight, my monitor went down.  Brand new monitor works with that?  Can I use an adapter?  If yes should which adapter I?

I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a VGA DVI-adapter.  Tonight, my monitor went down.  Brand new monitor works with that? Any recommendations? Can I use an adapter?  If yes should which adapter I?

You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  • Problems connecting to a projector. Laptop recognizes the new monitor but projector does not display anything.

I have a Macbook Pro (non-retina display) mid-2012. I have a mini VGA screen that worked throughout the year and all of a sudden, it doesn't seem to work. My computer recognizes the new monitor (screen flickers and flies all content secondary screen) but the projector does not display anything. I tried to reconnect the cable, the cable VGA switch to turn on the projector and turn off, restart my computer and clouds of dust on the connections. Sometimes if I move the connection just that will work, but if I so much as breathe on it or watch funny it stops and I can't get it back.

Jiggle the cable or adapter is something different, you have a physical adapter or cable problem. Any bit-reversal can help that.

  • Desktop HP Envy 750-114: do I need a new monitor or graphics card?

I have a HP Envy Office 750-114 and a HP. V242h color monitor, etc. on the monitor are flat, dull and almost gray. It has been like that since we have the computer about a year ago. I've tweaked the contrast, etc., on the screen and it's a little better, but still not very good.

So, is it a new graphics card for the computer, or a new monitor? I'm afraid that if I buy a new monitor, it'll be the same, dull and flat.

If a new graphics card is required, which would be a good thing, and I need a new power supply?

My son loves to make games, one that is good for the games would be better.

    Thanks in advance!

I did experiment a bit and partially answered my own question. I removed the monitor in question (HP V242h) and hooked it to another computer. What a world of difference! So I don't think it's the monitor, but the graphics card.

If a modified question: what would be a good graphics card for my HP Envy Office 750-114? One that enhances the display and provides the best game? Also, would need a new power supply?

    Thanks again in advance!

  • old PC, new monitor display problems

Just bought a new monitor for my old Presario SR1500NX, but I can't adjust the screen resolution of 1600 x 900, who wants my monitor - it has a maximum setting of 1024 x 768. (Monitor = from HP2009m, widescreen) The graphics in my PC is "VIA / S3G UniChrome IGP. When I go to the tab view S3 it shows "Display devices" like an old CRT monitor, which I did not. I was using an older 17 '' LCD monitor 4:3 in the last 3 years, & it worked out of this video card, but my new widescreen monitor display is "stretched veeerrryyyy." I think I need a new "video card", correct? If so, can you recommend one if I can buy and install it (I printed installation instructions of a new video from the HP Web site card for my PC). I'm kind of smart with the software, but not the hardware side of computers. I installed more RAM on my PC, so I'm not familiar with the inside. (And no, I can't afford a new computer right now - I know that mine is old, but it works perfectly for my needs, I wanted just a new, larger monitor!) Thanks for any help you can give me.

AG, here is a video card that should work with your power supply and a new monitor.  It is not a barn burner, but a lot more than the maximum resolution that is required to run it.  It is said that the minimum power is 300W.  However, manufacturers tend to overstate the power requirements of their cards.  Read the customer reviews and specifications on the product Page.  This will give you some good information.

The card should improve the performance of your computer, too.  It will free the system memory that is shared with the video chip and add video memory on the card itself.  You could improve the memory to 2 GB to increase performance even more.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It's good to hear - it means that the monitor is OK and that it is compatible with Vista.  It is still unclear on the video card or the motherboard on the computer (or any other problem this computer might have) = but one step at a time.  You have made great strides and ruled out several possible causes that we must now check or test.

What is the EXACT error message you are getting (Word for Word)?  Which is the key to product, the manufacturer, brand, model and serial number or your computer (I assume it's using the original video card)?  What i the manufacturer, brand and model of the new monitor?

Even if you could get the Microsoft drivers (which I don't think you can), you should take them to the device manufacturer or the manufacturer of the computer, if they moved on the computer.  They are likely to be more current and have fewer problems.  And you want drivers, firmware and software necessary or required by the device (they will be either the list which is available or you can ask for help and they should direct you to what you need).  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you shouldget to the monitor, the video card and the motherboard and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

I hope that drivers will solve the problem.  If not, we have to try something else (not sure what yet, but we will come with an option).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • New monitor will display not all resolutions

Recently bought a new HP monitor # 2210 m, and am running HP Media center m7334n Desktop, Windows XP sp3, ram 2 GB, 2.0 G cpu.

Problem: that's like half of the resolutions listed in the monitor sheet (there are 11 presets).
I want to put it in 1280 x 768, but it is not listed as a choice in the display properties.

I lost several hours with HP technical support (Overseas), and their final decision was that the computer is too old (5 years) to support the new monitor. After I hung up, I realized that the monitor has been able to run on its native resolution of 1920 X 1080. So, how is it not possible to run at a lower resolution?

Graphics are integrated on the motherboard, so I can't find care about resolution so that it doesn't matter where.
I've updated the graphics driver and the driver for the monitor.
I uninstalled the driver for the monitor, computer rebooted, everything is recognized, without yellow exclamation, but still no option for the setting of 1280 X 768.

How can I get the monitor to display the resolution that it is capable of?

    Thanks for your help

    o.k.

all tracks have been explored and exhausted.

the integrated graphics card & monitor drivers have been updated.

the desired resolution does not always appear in the display properties or the available ATI ads.

I go to the idea that this particular resolution (1280 x 720) only is simply not supported by the graphics card.

Thank you for your time & assistance
