HP Pavilion 500-141ea: GPU for HP pavilion 500-141ea

Hello

A couple of years ago, I bought a HP pavilion 500-141ea, I am now looking to upgrade the GPU and the power supply on this subject. I want to replace the old GPU with a GTX 960 but I unure know if it is compatible with my motherboard because I'm not sure if it has the version of the bios that is needed to support the 960 GTX

Information on the motherboard:

MS-7778 (Jasmine)

BIOS version: FRIEND 80.46 10/03/2013

If it doesn't not work could offer you some suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Madness 78, welcome to the forum.

960 GTX requires UEFIin the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS / Legacy.  Your motherboard has UEFI.  You have two things to consider: 1) the power required to run the video card correctly and 2) the length of the card.  The power supply unit (PSU) to the count is 300W.  I think that you will need a minimum of 400W.  I recommend a block of power SUPPLY Corsair of at least 500W.  The modular power supply to reduce the number of cables you are using.  This allows for better air circulation.  You can determine if the card fits by the measure of the e/s rear plate at the front of the computer.  This will allow you to see if it fits and if other ingredients will be in the way of this Assembly.

I improved my diet for a Corsair CX series CX500M 500W ATX 80 Plus Bronze modular power supply 12V successfully and I want to assure you that I have buy a compatible GPU for the motherboard.

If I go to http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/HP/HP_M3970AM-HP (Angelica2) _ / 2042 and click on compatible GPU it lists AMD and Nvidia cards.

The series of HD AMD goes up to the HD6000 series and does not list any HD 7000 series.

The only Nvidia 600 series which is decent is the GeForce GTX-660-670-680 or 690.

The site also shows (these graphics cards have an appropriate interface to work with and integrate into the HP M3970AM - (Angelica2). Because this motherboard does not have a GPU chip on board, we have also limited GPU integrated only to those which are integrated to die of a CPU.)

Cards GTX listed are all much more expensive than 650 Ti DirectCU OC Boost 1085 MHZ 2 GHz 6.0 GB GDDR5 2xDVI card PCI-E HDMI DP that is not listed or even GTX550 TI, which is not listed

The Amd HD listed series cards are unavailable or more expensive than most of the HD 7000 series.

Has anyone successfully installed a card $ 100 from low to medium priced which is a significant improvement on the hd 7450? If you could please let me know what graphics card you purchaced.

    Thank you

    Gbrown13, welcome to the forum.

The limiting factor for the video card upgrade is the power supply unit (PSU).  It is 300W.  Intermediate level maps latest require at least 400W to work properly.  7450 HD comes with the computer has been designed for HP operate with OEM PSU.  A detail 7450 HD very probably would not work.  In addition, you should limit the length of the video card to no more than 9 ".  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.  The majority of the double cards are 1.5 "wide.  These are normally without any problems.

I hesitate to recommend a video card on the grounds that it will be much better than an existing map.  It is difficult to say that this is the case.  Here is a map which might work for you, with an upgrade of the power supply.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

I tested it on exported ipa installed via itunes, whas test done on iphone 4S

  • OEM Apple nVidia GeForce 7300 GT is on the list of Adobe to not support GPU for rendering of the Open GL...

My Mac Pro Radeon X 1900 XT is retired to my yard serious computer in my basement, but that goes back to the OEM Apple nVidia GeForce 7300 GT, brought encouraging results delivered with my Mac Pro.

When I got the Mac Pro 2007, in 2009, I was running it in Mac OS 10.4.4.11 Tiger and Photoshop CS4 (11.0.0) would turn off the Open GL rendering when it detected the GeForce 7300 GT card stock, which was on the list of unsupported graphics nVidia GPU Adobe.   So, I bought a refurbished nine Apple Radeon X 1900 XT.  This card allowed to Photoshop CS4 and Bridge CS4 allow Open GL rendering.  Last year, the Radeon X 1900 XT graphics card created scratches on my screen when it is running hot and sometimes dual turns off just as I was working.  In addition, the computer was material freezes about once a day.   This morning the Mac Pro close its dual display, while I was working, and I had to make another cold cut in order to restart.  I then manually shut down the computer and doing a manual start so that Snow Leopard would use disk maintenance.

I turned off the computer and pulled the Radeon X 1900 XT card and re-inserted the OEM Apple nVidia GeForce 7300 GT card.  Now I'm in Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with Photoshop CS4 (11.0.2) instead of Photoshop CS4 (11.0.0).

Now, the update to Photoshop CS4, under the most recent operating system, allowing rendering Open GL instead of disable. Physical limitation of this graphics card is now fixed, so I see no reason to buy the ATI Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Upgrade Kit for my Mac Pro:

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/item/Apple/6615718/

Some of those who bought the Apple ATI Radeon HD 5770 will say that they always got the striping on their screen when the Radeon HD 5770 card was running hot, just like with the Radeon X 1900 XT.

So far, Apple OEM nVidia GeForce 7300 GT works fine and I get no striping on my poster without shut-off or material display freezes.

I'm happy to have made of Open GL to Adobe enabled with an OEM GPU graphic that works cool and requires no fan cooling anchored.  Apple OEM nVidia GeForce 7300 GT, for the Mac Pro, is on the list of Adobe to not support GPU for rendering of the Open GL under Photoshop CS4, so why is he now supported?  That is just one of the benefits of the Photoshop CS4 11.0.2 update?

Also FYI, Adobe is not always announce or specify bug fixes in versions of update of an application, although sometimes they do.

  • Upgrading the PSU and GPU for my HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510 t

    Operaring system: Windows 7 64-bit

    CPU: Core i5-2500, 3.3 GHz

    Memory: 10 GB

Video graphics card: GeForce GT 420 - OEM

    Hard drive: 1 TB

Computer case: height: 38 cm (14.96 inches), width: 17 cm (6.69 inches), length: 41 cm (16,14 inches)

    Power supply: power supply 300W

Several features of the product: HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510 t

due to the diablo 3. I updated graphic setting the lowest. FPS is between 15-22 so I'm interested in upgrading my power supply HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t(specs are above) and graphics card with the following, respectively:

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1 GB 256-bit GDDR5

    GPU size: 9 "x 4.4"

Power supply: Antec High Current Gamer HCG-750 750W Series

    "Power supply Dimensions: 7.1"x 5.9"x 3.4"

I wonder if these prodcuts will enter the computer, as is or if I should look for other products.

    Thank you

The ASUS GTX 560 should adapt and work very well. The Antec PSU is great and very likely to have problems in the space provided. It can interfere with connections to the motherboard and push against the CD/DVD discs. Please look at the Corsair CX600 instead. It is only slightly larger than the block of power SUPPLY HP stock and is known to adapt.

  • Pavilion H8-1117cb: Compatible GPU for H8-1117cb Pavilion

I'm looking to replace (like update if possible) the video card in my HP Pavilion H8 1117cb

The ATI card failed and I removed the piece of plasitic blocking the VGA connector to use video for now.

I tried an Evga GTX 750 Ti SC from new egg and ended up having to return it. That's when I learned about the Legacy/UEFI bios differences. I then looked an OC of MSI N750 TI 2GD5 card since she was a switch built in. Someone in the field of the issue, said that he did not work with their H8 - 1117c.

Can someone please tell me which card will work with my system? Budget is $ 100 - $ 150, but I can't afford to buy and return a bunch of cards.

Also, I would be a card that works with the original 300W PSU.

    Thank you!

    StreetG6, welcome to the forum.

I tell you as I tell everyone, trying to find a video card most recent for an old computer, contact Technical Support from the manufacturer for help.  They will be able to tell you which of their cards will work.  If you did not contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842), I suggest that you do.  It will be difficult to find a card that will work with your existing power supply.  I understand not wanting to pay to return more cards.

  • My pavilion dv6 3031sa has wrong GPU for its model

So I bought a new card system for my laptop online without knowing which model, he came, so I checked the Bios for the product number which is XB531EA #ABU. Then I checked the HP drivers website and enter the product number that says the model number is Dv6-3031sa. When I studied the specs of this model, it is said that the GPU in this Council should be Radeon HD 5470 m. However detected updates driver Radeon 5650 m, hardware in Device Manager ID confirms that it is a 5650 m

  • HP Pavilion series HPE h8-1227: try to update my GPU for my pc

So I tried to solve this problem with my computer, where when I install a new graphics card (I tried several and no luck) currently im trying this graphics card (MSI GeForce GTX 750Ti GAMES DirectX 12 N750Ti TF 2GD5/OC 2 GB 128 - Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 HDCP Ready Video Card) it work I can't access the bios on my computer so it does not either my computer crashes. I was hoping that someone could help me with this and getting this card to work.

    @Brendan1234, welcome to the forum.

Your problem is caused by the fact that all new after the 660/670 GTX video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  MSI has a card equipped with a switch that allows to work with a legacy BIOS or UEFI.  I suggest that you choose a manufactuer and contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

  • Upgrade GPU for HP P-7 1154

Hi, sorry if this has been previously answered could not find anything on the forums, but I'm currently buy parts for the computer I bought this summer which is a HP p-7 1154. I was wondering if there is a maximum length regarding the cards, you can use on this system? I'm more so worried whether or not the cards that I'm currently looking will fall on the RAM slots or not.

    http://www.Amazon.com/NVIDIA-GeForce-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-ZT-60901-10m/DP/B009AEL3JO/ref=sr_1_3?s...

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1154. According to specifications, your computer has a slot PCIe x 16 graphics v2.x and a 300 Watt power supply. In a little less than 8 inches long, all these cards should fit into your system without problem. They won't fall on the memory locations, but you may need to remove the map to add new DIMM modules. You will also need the slot PCIe x 1 next to the graphics slot empty.

However, to power these new cards, you will need improved supply. It seems that the cards you want to recommend a 500 watt power supply system. I would recommend Corsair CX500, or CX600, as both of these power units are consistantly recommended and known to fit most HP consumer.

  • Compatible GPU for a Compaq CQ5320Y with motherboard M2N68-(Narra6)?

I'm trying to understand what GPU I can install on my machine. I have a Compaq Presario CQ5230Y with a motherboard M2N68-(Narra6). I have it maxed out at 4 GB of ram. I upgraded to an AMD Phenom II X 4 945 CPU. I'm upgrading from the power supply to an EVGA 500W 80PLUS certified ATX12V/EPS12V power supply 100-W1-0500-KR. The slot I would use is a PCIe x 16 location.
My goals are to replace the built-in nVidia GeForce 6150SE with a card so I can use the dual display. Also, I use Sony Movie Studio that allows the GPU to help in video rendering. I am therefore looking for a card with CUDA. I guess the more hearts CUDA best? Maybe a 720 GT or GT 730? Something higher? Something lower? I don't know what's compatible. I read questions with bios and latest maps? Any ideas of what is and is not compatible with my old machine? Thank you!

I ended up buying an EVGA GeForce GT 730 2 GB GDDR5 64-bit DVI/HDMI/VGA Low Profile Graphics Card 02 G-P3-3733-KR. installed a 500 watt PSU last night and installed the graphics car this morning. It seems to work.

  • Best GPU for Adobe

My computer is replaced and I think the best video card to take advantage of the GPU acceleration that takes advantage of Adobe.  All of the suggestions.  I have less than 500 USD.

Building a system with i7-5930 with 32 GB of RAM.   SSD will be there too, just so decide on GPU.   Do not use it for games.

I have 6 Lightroom and I saw a few joint discussions on that (which I bet that Adobe will address).  Watch just @ comment.

The compatibility WIN10 check me has informed than our desktop Compaq Presario CQ53320F with integrated NVidia GeForce 6150E nForce 430 graphics and 3 GB ram running WIN7 required updates for WIN10. It is the child, not a player - computer and I already bought a new machine, so I wanted to update it.

I installed an EVGA NVidia GeForce GT610, PCIe 2.0 gpu and current pilot worm. The motherboard has x 16 PCIe extension and seemed compatible. But in WIN7, I get a "driver Nvidia Windows kernel mode" error followed by black graphic display or distorted and cpu freeze. I stressed Bios PCIex16 adapter. Compatibility WIN10 check can still see original integrated configuration while the properties of the system sees now 8 GB of ram and pilot of the card/GT610. Any ideas?
