Hello:

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that you can go to a 500 GB 7 200 RPN SATA II HDD.

I recommend these to this provider if you live in the United States.

320 GB:

250 GB: (the 320 GB drive is cheaper)

You will also need to order a set of recovery disks to reinstall the operating system and the programs supplied with your PC if did you not have a game when you got the laptop.

It is an excellent hard drive; one of the best mechanical laptop from readers on the market. The mounting for the SSD material will also work with the HARD drive, you don't need anything in the way of shopping cart or cables. The hard drive and SSD are the same physical size with holes in the same place. However, this product is a "naked" drive, which means that it does not come with a software or additional hardware of any kind. You also need something like this:

When you clone, choose resize "proportional". This will just make all the larger partitions in the same report. Passing a smaller on a player more large size is much easier that vice versa. Good luck.

  • HP replaces the hard drive: my recovery or their disks?

The hard drive on my G62-234DX, purchased in August 2010, failed during the warranty period. HP sent me a replacement with recovery disks. I used them.

Office Starter 2010 came loaded on the laptop, but it isn't on the supplied recovery disks.  HP says they can give me is more than software.

Can I retrieve it somehow from the recovery discs I did last August?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

I don't think it's possible because there is no setup file.

He had a protected drive Q who had Office 2010 startup files, and once you have started the initial installation of the icon on your desktop, that's all.

HP is correct. There is no stand-alone Office Starter 2010 installation package. It is only installed on the once new PC. It may have been on the recovery partition, but I can't say for sure, and it's a moot point since your original hard drive disappeared.

  • Pavilion dv6600ev: I would like to replace the HARD drive and the RAM in my HP laptop. I want to check compatibility

Hello guys. I would like to replace the HARD drive and the RAM in my HP laptop. I would check the compatibility. For the momemt, I have 2 x 512 MB of RAM and a 160 GB HARD drive. Does anyone know the type of RAM (DDR1 or DDR2 most) and the accepted maximum capacity. Also the SATA port is a SATA I? Besides, I'm going to change the operating system (preferably in Win 7) so is there a driver?

You can install DDR2-800 modules and they are the most widely available at this point, but the memory will run at 667 mhz speed.

You can at any retail Branded 2.5 "SATA HDD 9.5 mm thickness, 1 TB will be OK - no problem with that.

Looking at the Manual - Page 59-61, the replacement procedure is not just easy to him if you're not used to it, needs great disassembly & may void the warranty if you do it yourself if under warranty. You can Contact HP for this.

    This would be nice.

HP would replace the HARD drive for free, if that came with the laptop failed in respect of the warranty period.

  • Replaced the hard drive - now screen Intel Rapid Storage Tech comes first?

A couple of weeks ago, I replaced the hard drive in my laptop Pavilion dm4-3090se with a 240 GB Samsung SSD (the laptop came with a 500 GB Hybrid HDD which is now my backup).

Everything works fine, except when I first put it in, I get the screen shown in the image below and it takes a good 5 or 6 seconds before it closes and opens Windows. How can I make this screen go away?

You are running Windows 7 or Windows 8? I see that you still have the installed cache acceleration mSATA 32 gig drive and it has the Intel Rapid Storage, just off acceleration partition. Can you find the control panel Intel Rapid Storage and reformatting the drive to 32 gig Accelerator? It will look something like this:

I suggest also just remove acceleration 32 gig of hard drive. You have really no more. You can not acclerate a SSD and shouldn't do anyway since having a main SSD is still faster than having the accelerator. See page 44 of the Manual:

  • Re: Tecra A9 - 11M - replace the HARD drive with a larger

I have a Tecra A9 - 11 M with Windows XP Professional installed. I would like to replace the hard drive with a larger drive and install Windows 7 Professional.

Any suggestions on recommended records say 500 MB?

Difficulties to install Windows 7 on this model?

    Hey,.

    > Any suggestions on recommended records say 500 MB?
I assume you mean 500 GB and not 500MB, right? ;)

Well, the Tecra A9 already supports SATA interface and there is no limit of capacity on SATA interface, so you can install a 500 GB HARD drive or more (750 GB, etc.). Just make sure that it s 2.5 SATA HDD.

You can choose each brand of HARD drive because each model will not work. You can buy a Toshiba HDD, Western Digital HARD drive or another. No problem ;)

  • How to replace the hard drive with an SSD on a model of end 2011 MacBook Pro 15 inch, A1286

    Hello

I would like to replace the hard drive on my model of end 2011 MacBook Pro 15 inch, A1286 with a disk solid state drive (SSD). First of all, I would like to know if this is possible. Second, what is the best way to do it? I'm under the Yosemite OS if that makes a difference.

Here are some technical details of my current system:

-MacBook Pro 15 inch, late 2011 model A1286

    -OS yosemite

    -16 GB of memory/RAM

    -Currently using stock HD

All instructions step by step would be helpful with what software should I use to make backups of my current operating system (e.g., SuperDuper). I would also like to know what tools or material I need like type of screwdriver, cables to transfer data to the SSD, etc.. My goal is to not have to reinstall each app one by one on the SSD, but if that's the only way to do it then it's okay.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can see instructions OWC here. Tools are mentioned in the discussion (I used a plastic knife picnic with the stronger edge somewhat blunt for nylon pry tool). I suggest you invest in one of these external fences. Install the SSD in who and clone internally externally with CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper. Then move the external drive of the internal drive after the start of the SSD in the external to confirm the operation.

  • Pavillion G7: I had to replace the hard drive on my HP

I had to replace the hard drive on my HP Pavilion G7. I have an old windows 7 Pro for refurbished PC's drive, but I can't do anything. the screen say that she needs an operating system.  the product number is D1D28UA #ABA. Can offer you any advice?

Cannot use the disc of Windows 7 Pro from the old PC to install on a laptop HP Pavilion G7, as the models are different. If the OS disc will not contain the correct drivers and applications for the HP Pavilion G7. In this case, you will need to order the CD of restoration pro Windows 7 for this laptop HP Pavilion G7.

  • replacing the hard drive on Imac 2011

    I have an Imac (27-inch) nodel 2011 2429.

The hard drive is dead according to disk utility.

I'm curious to replace everything with a 2.5 SSD drive?

If so, all of the recommendations.

Supposed to be faster and all.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.

    Thank you

There are hundreds available that will work. I went with an OWC SSD and used their installation kit on my 27 "2011. The SSD is behind the SuperDrive which allows me to keep the internal storage HD and SSD. OWC has great instructions online, a toolkit including the right cable and the best support. You can find what you need at www.macsales.com.

  • Replace the hard drive on a6430f

I need to replace the hard drive on my HP a6430f desktop because it is corrupted.  Is a diagram and instructions on how to remove the old and replace it with the new available?  In addition, is there any suggested replacement hard drives?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, a single drive will work.

I have recently gained m9200t with 500 GB (2) drives.  Has released two records and ran a new installation on a 1 TB drive.  If the WD works always, your options are better.

WD and Seagate offer their version of a free disk assistant. There is a feature to clone.
