HP Pavilion DV62070ez - upgrade RAM

Hello!

I just want to know if it is possible to update my RAM (which is now at 4 GB) to 8 GB with my laptop

Processor: Intel Core i7-720QM 1.60 GHz

Thank you!

I just checked your model and it seems that you can go up to 8 GB. However, you should check which is mounted you may need to replace both of the RAM, if you have 2 x 2 GB. If you have 1 x 4 GB and a free slot, then you can simply add an another 4 GB without problem.

I have a Pavilion dv7, 2230sa (CNF9491PVP) with 4 GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).  But, I don't know what type of RAM to buy. There are several specifications (667 800... MHz or PC2-5300, 6400...).

You might it sort my problem please? (Sorry for my English)

Good news, bad news. The good news is that it can take 8 gigs. The bad news is that it's DDR2-800 memory. 8 GB is very expensive:

Not a typing mistake. You are looking at a price of at least $150 to get this memory of any reputable vendor.

  • HP Pavilion p6240f: upgrade RAM, Pavilion p6240f works not

    Greetings HP community.

Today, I'm working on a HP Pavilion p6240f. I am trying to install (2) 8 GB DDR3 1600 chips.  When I turn on the computer I hear 1 short beep and 1 long beep, which results in an error of memory.  Bought the wrong RAM?  Can I make it work?  I checked the BIOS and it seems that I have the version 5.11 of 29/09/2009 and no other version is available on the product Web page.

    Please help, thanks

    A

    Hello

The motherboard in the p6240f is only spec'd to use 2 GB DIMM modules.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston and Crucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

  • Pavilion dv6: upgrading RAM for HP Pavilion dv6

    Hello

I want to upgrade the memory of my laptop. It has 4 GB (2x2gb). I want to move to 8 GB or 16 GB, if possible. I found some RAM modules on newegg.com such as this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139976 - I wonder if it will be compatible with my laptop. Here are some features of the system:

-Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    -Processor: Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz

    -RAM: 4 GB

    -System type: 64-bit operating system

You do not give us the model exactly but dv6 with processors Intel Core gen 2d max to 8 gigs. 3rd and 4th generation can take 16.

The type of memory that you have linked works perfectly... but not the 2 x 4 GB modules, 8 modules of concert. Also note how the picture shows 8 black blocks on the side of the memory... get the modules like this, not with 4 blocks. The speed is correct. DDR3-1333.  Let us know if you need help most.

  • Pavilion dv6743eo: upgrading RAM for HP Pavilion dv 6743 eo

According to PC Wizard, my laptop has 2 x 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM PC2-5300 (333 MHz)

    I want to switch to 2 x 2 GB DDR2 SD - RAM PC2 - 5300.

My question is: can I use 667 MHZ RAM instead of 333 MHz?  Now a days it seems impossible to 333 MHz RAM

    Hello

    SD - RAM PC2 - 5300 DDR2 running at 667 MHz, the reason why you can't see 333 MHz as double channel and 333 MHz x 2 = 666 MHz (close enough to 667). Please use SD - RAM PC2 - 5300 DDR2.

    Hello:

If you give HP authorized after-sales service, you will not be voiding any warranty for the improvement.

    Contact HP worldwide

But if you do it yourself and any damage occurs to this topic, then guarantee would not be honored by HP.

In both cases, you must ensure to this you bought the RAM with exactly the same configuration & preference the same brand that your laptop has already matches what your computer laptop repair suggest compatible.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See page 3 of the memory card. It is said 12 GB is the maximum, but we know from experience, you can install 2 x 8 GB in total 16 concerts. No 32 GB. It must be low voltage, and if you already have a single module of 8 GB you want to duplicate its specifications. If it has 8 black blocks on the side, you need to get a module like this.

It is not easy to work on this system. You must remove the top cover to get to the hard drive Bay and remove the motherboard to add RAM. See p. 105 and 116.

Module of memory of 8 GB 693374-005

There's a 16 gig module listed, but it is for AMD laptops with a single location and will not work on your motherboard, even if you could find it.

    https://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-1600MHz-PC3-12800-KVR16LS11/DP/B00CQ35HBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1475841671 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = 693374-005

You can install a type SATA 2.5-inch 1 TB SSD. There is no definitive list brands supported. People sometimes have problems with some specific SSD as some determinative seem to cause problems, but the Evo to Samsung 850 is a good choice with a record few if any questions.

The computer does not know if she is running only Windows or Linux and the RAM or the SSD works with Linux or Windows, or in dual boot. The Linux kernels current used in the current distributions like Ubuntu 16.04 SSD handle very well with a maximum return.

    Post back with more questions.

It's the number of the product you need: F9G45EA #ABZ.

It is the 15-n233sl model and the plug you have 6 GB. See page 42 of the manual here:

    Repair manuals

The manual indicates that it takes up to 12 GB which is a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module but regularly, users have reported success with 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. For most of the users 8 GB is a lot and it would mean just remove the module from 2 gig you have now and its replacement by a 4 GB. What that you choose to do I would have 2 modules size even for enable support dual channel. 8 concerts running dual channel is likely to be just as good as 12 concerts running in single channel due to incompatible modules.
