  I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

  I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

  If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I had problems in the past with my Beats Audio drivers and they are usually resolved by reinstalling the most recent driver. in any case one of my classic problems reappeared. Basically, whenever I have to adjust the volume of ANY application volume would quickly return to 100% but the volume slider left to us are going to say 20%. So I thought a quick reinstall of my audio driver IDT could solve the problem. How unfortunately I was wrong. When I went to the HP site and found my product in the Support section of the site and the drivers, I find the right audio driver that needed to be updated (sp56429.exe). Unfortunately, the driver will not download from ANY Web site. I tried more than 40 different directories and Web sites to download this driver from. I'm torrenting with a 10 foot pole, because I could get kicked off campus.

  Because I could not solve the problem in this way, I decided that I would try to use the HP Installer shipped, well this does not work because it installed a version of the driver that makes the 'Beats Audio Control Panel' does not work. So I can't change my EQ settings and the sound on my computer is very, very crappy.

  I have a Pavilion dv7-6b55dx notebook with Intel Centrino - N6150 wireless network card. I've recently updated to Win 7 to win 10 64-bit.  The first negative consequence is the deactivation of my wireless internet connection. The without wire/switch market stop on the keyboard is more worked as planned but simply tilted airplane mode on or off.  I followed HP troubleshooting for wireless connectivity problems associated with Windows 10 improvements, including the reinstall the NIC driver wireless, without any positive result.  It seems that 10 Windows does not recognize network N6150 map.

  Anyone know if there is a fix for this problem (Microsoft? HP? Intel?) In the meantime, I came back to the Windows 7 operating system.  If there is no patch or another solution at this moment I may decide to go with a wireless USB adapter, but prefer not to do this, if possible.

  I did not have a facility clean, but simply ran the standard upgrade ensuring once again I did it using a Wi - Fi and ethernet not.  It worked very well - fully operational wireless connectivity.  Thanks for pointing out the importance of having wireless enabled when you upgrade!
