HP Pavilion Notebook e016dx 17: recovery driver webcam HP Pavilion 17

After a restoration of the system to my laptop and an upgrade to windows 10 that my webcam stopped working so I had checked the driver for updates the Device Manager said there were not and or Skype or youcam could recognize the built-in webcam, although he says that he has no problem I tried to disable and the reactivation of the webcam but also to restart the pc and nothing had worked and eventually I ended up accidentally uninstall the integrated webcam driver altogether and I really want to restore my phone again if it can be avoided. So is it possible to re - install the driver for the webcam which is integrated with the HP Pavilion 17 Notebook?, I have already tried the site looking for the driver and did not find the drives for my laptop it simply suggests that I have updated windows (which I already have and the problem was not resolved).

Hi oOXeonOo,

Thank you for your answer!

Webcam downloads only I find on software and Driver Downloads, is the software to use it. Cyberlink Youcam software.

So in this case, I recommend you to try the full system factory restore, remember to back up your files first.

If it helps, please consider clicking on "accept as a solution." And, please click the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

I hope this information is useful!

I reinstalled my original Vista Home Premium 32-bit using the recovery partition. All right, except that I can't make the webcam that is recognizable to the system. Therefore, I can't use my Skype video feature. When I had the factory installed OS, Skype video call worked perfectly.

I've been everywhere on the Internet trying to find a software YouCam, Quickplay, SP37849, SP46565, SP38361 and SP 45866 - all for nothing is helping. Any software install, except Quickplay (SP38361).

In the device, under imaging devices Manager, there is no driver webcam in the list, only my HP 6700 all-in-one printer/scanner. Is it possible that only imaging device can be installed at the same time? I really hope this isn't the case.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello Futoji,

First of all, my apologies for not answering yesterday or before. I expect an email to tell me an answer to my question.

I spent $9 on an external camera and mic, just to have a way to "Skyping". But, I want to still try and set the built-in camera if possible.

Not being is not a big fan of QuickkPlay, I wonder if I can install YouCam, even if my installation of the factory had QuickPlay? Something that I read during my research led me to think that this substitution can be made.

Your suggestions have yet to be tried, but I'm going today and inform you of any success. I'm leaning towards the conclusion suggest you, that the camera may have failed.

Thanks for your help; I'll give you an update.

    Kind regards

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

The ONLY way to return to its original state of the recovery partition is to do a full erase of the hard drive and reconfiguration of the PC itself Žtat factory use HP Recovery Media - and, as said, that will delete EVERYTHING on the drive!

If you have backups of the image, as you requested, then you really don't need to partition and can safely remove to reclaim that space.

If Windows won't let you delete this partition, then try using this: Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition free

    Good luck

    Hi guys,.

I recently updated my laptop DV2222tx from Vista to Windows 7. After the upgrade, I lost completely the use of the webcam.  The webcam was even not found on Device Manager while it was working perfectly before under Vista.

HP does not provide driver webcam for windows 7.

Wonder if anyone has experienced this problem and solved, I really appreciiate your help and instructions.

If you know of a windows 7 webcam driver for laptop DV2000, I'll be gtateful if you can direct me to the download link.

    Hi Paul,.

I tried all the instructions according to the link you kindly provided. I still couldn't Windows 7 to see the webcam

Finally in a last thing, I have expanded each of each device listed in the Device Manager to see whats inside. When I expanded the USB controller, a usb webcam appeared listed. Click on it and let windows updated the driver from the internet. After 5 minutes, windows has detected the hp webcam.

Device Manager now shows the image and the webcam device.

Now, I have to make it work with Skype.

  • MS Recovery Drive vs HP Recovery Media in desktop PC

    Hello

Last year, I bought a desktop PC all-in-one HP Pavilion 23-B115EA with Windows 8 is installed.  Later, I upgraded to 8.1 of the store.

Recently, I wanted to create a disc of recovery in the case where, but ended up creating two:

    1. From the start screen, I typed "create a recovery disc" and consulted the menu with the button 'Copy the recovery partition' checked.  I used a 32GB USB as a 16GB one was not quite big enough, because although it would only take about 14.9 GB, with formatting, it was a little more than 16 GB.  The recovery disk was created successfully.
    2. I checked with HP email support, but they referred me to the HP Recovery Manager.  I have it accessible from the icon Support HP and found a menu with create recovery media, but it is about 14.7 GB and it mounted on a 16 GB USB DRIVE.

I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know the difference between these two recoveries and that one is better than the other.

    Kind regards

    Mike-01

The HP Recovery Manager creates a replica of the computer as it was delivered to you.

Creates an image of MS 8.1 Windows Recovery

After the upgrade to Windows 8.1, you should take the time to build a new disc of recovery on the USB storage media.  By building a new recovery disk, you will have an easy way to perform a system reset / refresh with the bits of the Windows 8.1 operating system, if necessary to recover from a situation of system boot down the road.

  • New installation of Vista recovery drive...

    Hello
I have a laptop HP Pavilion-DV5 comes with windows vista... It has 2 drives C and d. C has windows disk and all the other stuff and D is a recovery drive with almost 8 GB of data in it. I'm new on recovery and other things and I know its possible to reinstall windows, but I want something else...

I want to install windows 7 in my C drive after FORMATTING drive C (no road of course...) and I want to keep the option of vista recovery because it is after all ORIGINAL windows... Is it possible to do? I mean what happens if I install windows 7 and when I want my windows vista back, is possible to install from recovery drive?

    Concerning

Once format you the recovery usually partition C: does not work. Better to burn your recovery disc set at onhand in case you want to roll back to Vista. Use HP Recovery Manager in your Start menu to burn the game using DVD + R, no record of rewritteable. Usually requires only 2 DVD.

  • Driver webcam open fail on Satellite A300-1MC

Whenever I try to start my integrated webcam (Chicony Camera Assistant Software) the message "driver Webcam open fail." Please restart camera or computer. "is displayed on the computer.
First of all, I do not understand what it means and then I rebooted both the camera and the computer, as well as repair the camera software.

I looked for updates and drivers, etc., but nothing works. I also read every manual available in search of an answer, but I can t seem to find something that is of no help.
I was wondering if someone had an answer for me, or tell me what I need to do.

    Hello

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and I could solve the problem by updating the driver for the webcam on the Toshiba site.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

So, download the latest version, delete the old and reboot the laptop. Then install the new version.

I doubt that you were looking for updates for the Toshiba shows a driver for webcam.

On my new Toshiba Equium L350, there is no any camera assistant software. I downloaded from the toshiba Web site.
I installed it, but it does not work.
Whenever I try to use it or when I go on my user.

The webcam says error cannot open "driver Webcam. "Please restart camera or computer.

I tried to restart and reinstall, but nothing works.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

    I have a few questions;
You see the camera help software in the taskbar?
You use some applications like Messenger from MS that would block the webcam?

I read on a webcam on Vista laptops issue. It was related to the Vista operating system. There was a bug that has been solved with the installation of SP1.

    You have installed SP1?

    Hello

You must use the Toshiba Forum search option.
Then you will find a large number of discussions on the topic.

In most of the threads, you will find the recommendation to reinstall the webcam software.
I think this should help you.
Then, visit the Toshiba driver page and download the software of webcam for laptop model. Before install you the new software, I recommend you to remove the old installation.

    Hello

What operating system do you use? Vista? What model of laptop is it?
If Yes please install the SP1, because it contains a Microsoft patch that solves the problem of the webcam.
I had a similar problem and the SP1 was the key.

It is also recommended to remove the old driver/webcam software download a webcam driver from the European driver Toshiba page and reinstall.

    Check it out!

  • Almost full recovery drive D

My D recovery drive is about 99% full.

I continue to generate and save restore points?

Yes, you can double-click the drive in this PC and then double-click "Recovery."  You should be able to right click on the files you want to delete.  At least, I can do this in my D: / partition.

  • Recovery drive D

I accidentally formatted my recovery drive D on my laptop Envy.  Is there a way to restore this drive?  I did the recovery disc, but want to restore my drive if possible.

    Hello

Unfortunately, the only way to recover the recovery Partition is to perform a 'Factory Reset' using your set of recovery disks - this procedure will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  It will also recreate the original scores, including the recovery Partition.
