HP Pavilion p046na-15 sound level playback

Hello

I recently bought a laptop HP Pavilion 15 with AMD/Realtek HD audio hardware and Beats Audio.

Windows 8.1operating system.  It is brand new out of the box with no update done.

When I play mp3 via Windows Media Player music, the volume is is boosted during quiet parts.  It is particularly visible on the slopes that fade out, noise becomes gradually higher as the song fades, as it tries to maintain a constant volume of reading.  This creates a lot of background noise on vinyl recorded music, for example.

I checked it is not recording, by transferring the same MP3 to another device and it play - the song reads exactly as not registered, no problem.

I can't find all the options in the audio (or audio beats) that could control this behavior.  Is there an equalizer somewhere in the system?

p.s. it the same has even with Beats Audio disabled.

PPS it has the same thing with the internal speakers, headphones and external speakers.

Well, who did not help a lot.  A crossed the same script I've had in this forum and still no solution.

I see that this is not a new problem, seems that a lot of people have complained on various forums that options such as volume on Realtek systems compensation is turned on, but can not be disabled via the audio Manager or Device Manager.  If HP has information on this issue, it would have saved me a lot of time looking for an answer that is simply not there.

In the meantime I found myself 2 solutons:

1. buy an external USB sound card, which, in my opinion works actually better than the internal hardware of Realtek.

OR

2. use the "Rollback Driver" option in the Realtek HD Audio Manager settings in Device Manager.  This uninstalls drivers AMD/Realkek and restores the Microsoft drivers by default, which allows you to change the volume trim setting (as you would expect a quality driver for sure).  This also has the effect of off the Beats Audio feature, but to be honest, it's no great loss.

I am disappointed that HP support seemed unaware of this problem, or were not willing to own up to it pulically.  Given this market HP Beats Audio and the main features of the Pavilion notebooks range, looks like that this problem would be a high priority.

  • my ipod times each song to a very different sound level of inaudible to blow my ears, he is virtually unusable

my ipod plays songs at extremely different sound levels, very disturbing and a bit detrimental to my ears when he descides to skip a song extremely hard

This probably means that the pieces are encoded like this in your iTunes library.  There is a parameter called Sound Check.  You need to activate (a check box) in the reading of the iTunes preferences pane.  On the screen of the settings on the iPod, there are the equivalent value to turn on Sound Check.  This allows to adjust the level of sound of the songs, so that they are approximately equal (on average).

NOTE: This is not enough if a single song has the quiet parts and portions strong, as with classical music.  It does not adjust its level in a particular song.

  • CD Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (OLA) sound level

The noise level of the CD any of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (OLA) is very low.  In the OPTION section, I put the volume up, BUT it's still very small compared to the CD standard.  How can I fix so that the MFSL CD have the same sound level as CD ordinary?

I'm not familiar with these CD. If the iTunes option does not sufficiently increase the volume for you, you should try a third-party tool that standardize the volume to the desired level. Audacity is free, but there are many editors (many of which are free if you do not have to pay for anything whatsoever, unless you really want to) that standardize.  RIP to AIFF format, normalize, and then convert it to the desired format.

Ensure that the balance is not enabled in the preferences. It can sometimes have unwanted results.

  • Tecra S11 - low sound level

I recently bought a S11 and as a former owner of the Tecra line, I was very disappointed with the Audio level. I realize that the S11 is a Business and not a multimedia machine, but I have to sit nearby and make sure that there is no noise in the room to hear the speakers edge.

Is there a way to fix this? Even 50% more audio would be a huge improvement.

    Hi Pman,

I m not a Tecra S11 owner but I can't imagine that the sound level is so low that you described.

What program to use for listening to music?
What type of files you have more music?
    What operating system you have?

I can recommend the player media VLC media player. That s a tool of freeware that is really great and the audio plays and empty files.

Make sure also that you have higher and you are trying to update the audio driver.

  • Satellite U500: How to disable bell when sound level changing

    Hello

    I have a Satellite U500.

Anyone know how to disable the Bell whenever I change the sound level using the sound button in the "notification area" (I don't know if it's the right name for it, in any case, the bottom right part of the window).

I've been looking for a good time and have not yet found how to do this.

    I thank very you much.

    Hello

    Do you mean the taskbar?
It is the area on the right that shows you which applications are running and loaded.

What operating system do you use? What is Vista?
If you have Vista OS and that you want to disable sound notifications then you can do this do the following:

-Click on an empty part of your desktop and select Customize
    -Clicks
-Choose in the program window, the task (in your case, change the audio level), which must be changed and as a model of sound, choose No sounds.
    -Apply the changes

  • No sound during playback of DVD in Windows Media Player

    1. No sound during playback of DVD in Windows Media Player.

Media Center recently stopped working altogether, the message alleges a solution will be found, but he never comes to the top with one and there seems to be no resolution right ahead of internet, I can see others too have a similar problem.

So I would try Media Player, no joy it is thinking.

It reads the dvd no sound, I go into options and make sure the external emu sound card is set, yes all well, but as soon as I put it on youtube videos sound turns off by train to play media player so a sort of conflict, if I close Opera / chrome browser and reopen his is back.

Update or reinstall the drivers for the sound card in Device Manager, checking the PC or Support Downloads Web page of the card for more recent or different driver.

Physically, reinstall the sound card to make sure that the contacts and the slots are clean and tight connections.

If you have an audio chip embedded, try to use it to compare.

Try the VLC media player to see if it has the same problem.

Have you updated flash player for your browser?

    Try another browser to compare.

  • Problem with sound levels in the first, on export

    Hi guys.

I have dealt with some problems in the first, which took place a couple of times in the older versions of first.

Sound levels are apparently ok in the preview, but then, when you export, the sound levels sometimes have some "ups and downs". It seems that in the first three seconds, and then the audio comes to its normal volume.

I assume this has something to do with the applied effects (eq, dynamics and sometimes simplistic). Is too much for first to manage?

Even if I made of audio previews, the end result is the same.

If I open in soundbooth with direct link, the waveform shows the "vagaries" of the final, even if file in the first levels and waveforms are very good.

    I have a PC, i7, 3, 40GHz, 8 GB of Ram

    Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

    Thank you!

The Denoiser is infamous for to need some time to "kick" during an export, even when he plays back perfect in PP.

I would recommend this effect to jump and do these work in Audition or Soundbooth instead.

  • Different sound level on the exported audio files?

Today, I opened Audition, created a session multitrack with sampling frequency 44100KHz, 2 channels (stereo) and 32-bit depth.

I tried to merge a part of a song with the rest of another song, but I realized that the hearing has a low sound level as Windows Media Player or any other media player.

I looked for any configuration that could make WMP change the original sound, but he did play the song with the original sound level

If I have the low sound of hearing was something that wouldn't stay in the exported file.

But he did! And it was always like that, not just today.

    What should I do?

It is not entirely clear as to where is your lower level, but if you're talking about level hearing on the mixing being 3dB lower than what happens when you play multitrack, then the answer is simple - you need to reset the pan law-3dB center left/right cut (logarithmic) - this option is in the preferences > multitrack at the top of the pane. This will give you the same level on a file drop-down mixed or exported as you see on the screen.

But if you talk of levels of listening about, then it is very difficult to make useful comparisons to all levels of output. WMP and hearing use drivers and completely different engines, to the sounds of Windows via the Windows mixer - which changes even when reading levels. Hearing, if it goes directly to an audio device via an ASIO driver, don't get disturbed by the operating system in the slightest (that is the idea...), but if she gets plugged into the operating system for the output, then once more, the level can be changed through the Windows mixer.

But in the final analysis, it's not really important. Hearing files can be standardized so that the peaks are just below 0 dBFS, and if you do that, they will play correctly on any other player. If they seem to be more silent, it will be because of the overall volume of the file, and it is a decision of mix - nothing to do with the format of file at all. And this is often a problem with the mixture of two songs from different sources together - if it is been compressed a lot to make it sound louder and the other does not, while the levels will never match perfectly to the join, whatever you do. Your only recourse here would be to compress the most calm one more to match the first - but that 's going to change the sound, probably in ways you might not like.

So, quite a lot of options, really.

  • Sound level meter

Someone at - he found a way to bring up the new sound level meter?  Surprisingly, there is nothing in the help on this PDF.  I found the effect in the track mixer, but cannot find a method of appeal place real meter.

  • Sound levels fall at half

    Hi again,

I'm going nuts on something that I've spent too many hours on it now. Sound levels sometimes fall to export about half or even playing in PP rendered files. I can't understand why that if I rub the back and try again, many times it plays very well.

I have 11 layers of HD images with video clips related to after effects etc and 6 audio. Everything is rendered and export gives me weird audio level even falls. It always happens between clips (at the beginning of the next clip) but not always. He falls to about half for a few seconds and always at the same level.

I should say that have exported this project even several times during which actually without changing the "audio" problem areas, but as it accumulates I get problems - is it too heavy to handle or anything happening? This is not the first time that I have encountered this problem. Problem areas have only 2 layers of audio tracks playing at the same time.

Export audio without video gives the same result. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Kind regards

    Nick

    CS5 MAC, i5 12 GB of RAM,

I always have the feeling that the DeNoiser could pose a problem

I agree with you.  Remove the effect and clean clips in Soundbooth.

I'll triple square on it. The DeNoiser effect works (near as I can tell) by doing some "run in" audio to work with; Basically, it's an analysis on the fly, while trying to establish a noise floor. When you have the silence before the music, the effect it's what should be the level of the next element, so it clamps to the lower levels in an attempt to crush what it interprets as noise. Many times, the effect will work fine if you start reading somewhere after the beginning of the clip, but nowhere before, and you get unwanted mitigation.

It was my rather unsuccessful experience with this particular effect...

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to:

    1. install the driver for the motherboard nvidia chipset in your model and restart.

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/30520/en-us

    2. install the latest Realtek HD audio driver from the link below.

Accept the agreement.  DL and install second driver on the list.
