HP pavilion windows 7 laptop. : low HP Tools [E] disk space.

Hello every time I open a program in my computer this message which tells me that my disk space on the drive tools Hp [E] runs. I tried to disable the security settings of the system but drive E is not listed in there, and then there was this topic where I was told to remove [MY NAME - HP] player [E], but I don't have that in there, that's all that is there.

[Hewlett packard] - folder.

[Hp_Tools] - file.

[HP_WSD. DAT] - Dat file

[HPSF_Rep]

I hope you can help - thanks in advance!

Dear wishes! 14 afraid boy of Finland

PS: my dad will be angry, I reeealy if this computer case = ((-je l'ai eu pour mon anniversaire!! sa très bonne pour minecraft mais je ne peut pas jouer mine cus im peur dele de message!))

Note: The disk is red on the space and there is (50Mt left out space-4, 98Gt)

You mean in the Protection of the system from System Properties tab, [e] HP_Tools is not listed? This probably means that instead of the problem relating to the restoration of the system, it could be personal files that have been accidentally copied to this player.

Try the instructions from step #5 - discovers hidden files and folders on drive E:, then move or delete the files that belong here. The 'Attention' message will tell you what to do not delete.

I hope that helps!

  • Windows Server 2008 SP1: The C:\Windows\winsxs folder consuming 15Gb (!) of disk space.

It's really annoying because at the time of installation, we thought that 25 GB should be plenty for the drive that contains the operating system only! Now we ran out of disk space on C:! (The only software installed on top of Windows is SQLServer 2008...). We organize this server and it's VERY expensive to get the C drive extended by our provider. So I'm looking for a solution urgently... and I can't seem to find it.

    Three questions:

    1. is there a tool offered by microsoft to reduce the size of this folder?

    2. upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 reduces disk space on C:\Windows\winsxs. In this way we can (temporarily) expand the capacity, perform the upgrade and return to 25 GB.

    3 - is Windows 2008 R2 also having this winsxs 'feature '?

  • Can save us from the Windows updates to another drive to increase disk space

Hi I want to ask I can save the update of Windows to another example of player: as d ' drive, or an external hard drive, because the update are by default save to my c drive. And my c disk space becomes low.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your query details.

I also appreciate that fact that you want to save the updates of Windows on another drive or location in order to increase the free space in C; drive.

Save updates of Windows on another drive location is not recommended because it can cause corruption in the system files which can lead to some unstable operating system. It can also affect Windows start the process.

Updates are automatically downloaded into the subfolder "C:\WINDOWS\Software Distribution\Download".

If you want to increase the disk space, I suggest you run Disk Cleanup and check if it helps.

    Please see this link:
    Delete files using disk cleanup
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-cleanup=Windows-7

It removes temporary files, empty the "Recycle Bin", and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Note: When running Disk Cleanup on the disk hard if bad data files are found, all these data could be lost.

I also recommend move your data files stored on drive C: to another drive to increase disk space.

    Reference:
Move and copy files using drag and drop

    I hope this information helps.

  • Error (disk space low volume C) can anyone HELP?

Hello world! Earlier when I had a problem with virus/malware, I chose to reinstall the operating system from the original installation disc. I use the version of windows 7 Home premium 64-bit with 4 GB of internal memory with a SATA 320 hard drive, with I think, 3 volumes partitioned space. When I was prompted to install the disk volume. I chose a different location from the location of the original of the operating systems (for fear of more write the original location of Windows OS.) Now I get a (disk space low on volume C erorr).      I now have two copies of the WINDOWS operating system on my startup directory, but I need one! So far, I tried disk cleanup and created a new partion Volume "A".            RESULTS > nothing changed, still in train (error-Low disk space Volume 'C').  Can someone help, please?

Thank you for your valuable time into consideration my request:

    Hello!

The tools that I have recommended to you are very small size (up to 1 MB set).

You can safely remove the C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch content to free up a few megabytes.

The prefetch folder contains details of caching of frequently used programs and startup applications.

With this .pf files, Windows can improve the performance of applications.

The .pf files are re-created when the applications were revived.

    Hello

    Thanks for asking!

If I understand correctly, you want that registry key is responsible for the amount of storage on the disk space for offline files.

I suggest you to visit these links and check if it helps.

For the registry key, see this.

It describes the registry key that defines the value for an amount of

  • Disk space used by the Windows folder

Hi guys I found that my windows folder takes a lot of my disk space. It takes 31 GB of my C: / drive... .and I saw on other computers just 15 and 16 GB of disk space. I also found that Winsxs is taking up to 18 GB 31 GB of the windows folder. Can you please tell me what can I do for this problem all...

Investigating disk space use to download, install and run Treesize (freeware) as an administrator.

    http://www.Jam-software.com/treesize_free/

Place a Treesize shortcut on your desktop, right-click on the icon and select run as administrator to open Treesize. You must run as administrator to see all the files. If you do not see the content of the System Volume Information folder you have not run Treesize as administrator.

    Information about Treesize

    http://www.Jam-software.com/treesize_free/

When you open Treesize scan select in the Menu and you will see a list of drives. Click on C and it will generate a list of files. Display the names and sizes of the larger 6 under windows folders.

  • Free disk space in the Windows Explorer status bar.

In Windows 7, I wonder how to display disk space is free in the Windows Explorer. In XP, you could see how much space was free down in the status bar. He would say how objects and disk space that was free. How can I activate this in Windows 7?

Return to the root that particular drive is annoying, when I should be able to see how much free space I have for any folder.

    Thank you.

These 2 features have been removed from the latest version of windows and really help to speed up the use of every day:

Display the amount of free space
Display of the total size of the files in folders.

How this two features can be added to the status bar?

"Air Display (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1).

    What are my options?

    Thank you.

Sorry, but HP did not Win10 driver for your device, and if you improve not to Win10, it is likely that you will be blocked from using the graphics card base - that would actually work.

HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for devices manufactured after August 2013.

It is not unusual for a Win7 machine NOT to be expandable to Win10 because the material, at the time, was not designed for compatibility Win10.

  • Pavilion windows laptop dv6-6140us 7 64 randomly "go to sleep".

Hello, I have a 1.5 year, Pavilion dv6-6140us laptop with windows 7 64 which pretty well since I bought had a problem randomly 'fall asleep' computer: the display dims, I move the mouse to wake up the laptop, to reconnect and everything is as it was as if the laptop just went to sleep, but then he does it again and again and again (maybe not every 5-10 seconds) to the point where I can't do anything.  I worked with hp support and they had me restore factor settings - then they had send me the where they replaced the motherboard.  It was fine for a while and then started to happen again so just before my warranty expired I contacted hp support again and this time they had me update my display driver.  It seemed to work and it was fixed for a while, but he started again and reinstalling the driver is no longer made... but disable the display device only.  Once disabled, the issue does not appear to occur at all, but I can't use all the applications I need to.  If anyone has any ideas as to why this may be the case it would be greatly appreciated.  other this question, I like really the laptop, but this thing was very frustrating.  Thank you once again.

I just wanted to post this in case everyone knew this issue as well:

Since I posted this, I have re-installed my display with 12-10_mobility_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql_net4 adapter, but this time instead of using the parameters recommended, I choose custom install and chose the minimum of things to install... and so far I have not had the problem.

After that I updated my windows 8.1 to windows 10 laptop remove bluetooth.

There is no option in the settings to enable or disable. Nothing to do with bluetooth has completely disapperaed.

I looked through device controller speaker, but there wasn't anything that had name bluetooths. I also looked through the computer management services and found two bluetooth, Bluetooth Handsfree and service support of Bluetooth services. they were both the value of manual start and weren't running. I started them and implement autostart. It makes no changes to the problem though.

I think the problem is my bluetooth drivers are outdated and maybe I just need to reinstall drivers. But I don't know what my bluetooth card is. Update of drivers for other hardware has solved one problem with my PC after windows 10 updated.

It's just the Windows bluetooth service.

Each PC has this programming if it has bluetooth or not.
