HP Slate7 2800 - two digital microphones?

Hello

I just download the maintenance and Service of Guide for tablet Slate7 2800.

In the description of the product, Audio and video of the article, it says:

"Two digital Microphones.

Does this mean the 2800 Slate7 has two microphones on board and can make a stereo sound recording or is this just a mistake in the plug?

It would be great because I really like this tablet, it's build quality, the overall experience and Beats Audio that rocks!

BR,

Martin

Hello QuadraFX,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

For all purposes, you have a microphone on your tablet. The Service and the interview Guide having mention of technical references for the dual digital Microphone as I believe is used in the echo cancellation feature.

Hope that answers your question

  • Tecra M4: two internal microphones? or just one?

    Dear users of Toshiba,

    For about a month now, I've been the proud owner of the Tecra M4 Tablet PC. I really like the machine and yet I discovered new options.

    Recently I started using voice recognition software (Tablet Input Panel > tools and Options > speech) to dictate files using the internal microphones. And that's where the rub...

    According to the user manual (PG. 2 - 1) the M4 comes with two internal microphones. They appear as small holes in the plastic front cover, the microphone on the left. between the switch wireless and external microphone. Jack, the right on the right about the same position.

    When you use the MIC that I seem to only get a signal from the microphone of law. Running Win XP microphone test (Control Panel > sounds and Audio devices > voice) don't give not any proper or feedback.

    Someone meet the same questions?

    Hello

    Well.
    AFAIK the Tecra M4 has 2 internal microphones audio but Mono and an Audio external Microphone input Jack. On this unit control panel, you can find a SoundMax program.
    There you can change between standard microphone and microphone SoundMax. Check the configuration. Also in the effect of Toshiba Mic, you can configure and activate the volume of the microphones.
    In the network section of microphones, the option enable Toshiba Audio effect should be marked.

  • Number shaped with two digits "behind the point" :-)

    Hello

    Please excuse my very bad English because I'm french :-)

    I use the beta JDE v4.7 and the Blackberry Storm Simulator included.

    I would like to know how to format a calculated result as #. # (a floating-point value with two digits "behind the point') to display in a RichTextField instance.

    I tried this:

    """"
    String strSomme;
    String strSommeTTC;
    Double dblSomme;
    Double dblSommeTTC;

    strSomme = saisieField.getText ();

    dblSomme = Double.parseDouble (strSomme);
    dblSommeTTC = dblSomme * 119,6 / 100.0;

    Trainer fmt = new Formatter();

    strSommeTTC = fmt.formatNumber(dblSommeTTC,2);

    RichTextField affichageField = new RichTextField ("sum TTC:" + strSommeTTC, Field.NON_FOCUSABLE);
    Add (affichageField);
    """"

    Only the small portion of code compiles fine but I get an exception when you run the program in the Simulator: javax.microedition.global.UnsupportedLocaleException

    I don't know if the Formatter class is the best way to convert a 45.528652541 to 45.53 number for example.

    Thanks for any help.

    Nice day.

    Marc

    I ended up writing a method to do this...

        final static String toString(double sum)
        {
            // Turn random double into a clean currency format (ie 2 decimal places)
            StringBuffer result;

            if (Math.abs(sum) < .01)
            {
                result = new StringBuffer("0.00");
            }
            else
            {
                if (sum > 0)
                    sum = sum + 0.005;
                else
                    sum = sum - 0.005;
                result = new StringBuffer(Double.toString(sum));
                final int point = result.toString().indexOf('.');
                if (point > 0) // If has a decimal point, may need to clip off after 2 decimal places
                {
                    if (point < (result.length()-2))  // eg "3.1415"
                    {
                        result =  new StringBuffer(result.toString().substring(0,point+3));
                    }
                }
            }
            return result.toString();
        }

    I would like to know if there is a better way!

  • How to calculate the sum of two digital form fields based on the selection of the checkbox.

    I have a form in Acrobat Pro who needs a custom calculation. How to calculate the sum of two digital form fields based on a selection of the checkbox. I have three number fields. Field-A and B are simple one or two digits. Field-C is the sum, or the total field. I want to field-C have a control box which, when turned on and off, just gives a. gives the sum of A + B

    _ Field - 2

    _ Field - A 4

    [check] _ _ field - 6 C

    [disabled] _ _ field - 2 C

    Thank you

    The custom field C calculation script could be:

    (function () {

        // Get the values of the text fields, as numbers
        var v1 = +getField("A").value;
        var v2 = +getField("B").value;

        // Set this field's value based on the state of the check box named "CB"
        if (getField("CB").value !== "Off") {
            event.value = v1 + v2;
        } else {
            event.value = v1;
        }

    })();

    Replace 'A', 'B', and 'CB' with the real names of the fields.

  • Two USB microphones on a computer = a track, two voices... right?

    Hey everybody,

    I apologize for my ignorance, but I have a long list of things to learn about technology, and I learned a lot about computer specifications and features, so I went a little bit. I just finished a list of parts for a custom version, and once this is done, I need to establish a method for the monitoring of sound. I saw on a few threads here that you cannot build two microphones mapped onto a separate track each unless you use a pre microphone or mixer with multiple microphone inputs... and it's unfortunate, because, after spending more than $1 k for the computer, I'm not really willing to spend hundreds more on an intermediate device , microphones, stands, pop filters AND cables. Other than the microphone preamp, it's at least two of everything, and it will get expensive fast.

    So... If I use two USB microphones on a computer with Adobe hearing, then the voice of every microphone will be record for a single track, correct? If I wanted to change the voice, I have to go until then individual time during the track instead of referring to, say, "A track to voice A" or "Track B voice B," right?

    Not much, so no chance to work at all, I'm afraid. Most people have a little trouble to make a USB microphone is working correctly, and I'm not aware of that anyone ever get both working at the same time. I'm not saying that this is absolutely impossible, but there is a good chance they are.

    The problem is that the hearing is focused on the ASIO, and Steinberg (who invented) have determined that because he hits his way in the OS to give you better performance of latency, you can only use one device at a time. And your USB microphone is a device. There is just an outside possibility using ASIO4ALL you can aggregate two USB devices I have the feeling that there is something else that could stop this work - these devices are very slippery, and pilots with them generally aren't much anyway. So you can try it if you want - but I think you would be wasting money. And above all that, you'd have no supervision available (limited to a new device), or if you purchased a USB microphone with a headphone jack on it, you would very quickly find embarrassing how what is...

    Which brings me to:

    After spending more than 1 k $ for the construction of the computer, I'm not really willing to spend hundreds more on microphones, an intermediate device, pop filters, stands, AND cables. Other than the microphone preamp, it's at least two of everything, and it will get expensive fast.

    To start, you can buy pop and stands filters independently, so it isn't in the equation. Cables really are not expensive (especially if you learn to do it yourself), and there are a number of mixers small enough at a great price with links of USB, and which also provide the replay and monitoring. For example, if you have purchased a Behringer Eurorack UB802, you could pan each microphone on the side of the stereo, and it would let you separate them. It's simple for this divided into a pair of mono channels, so that you can edit them separately if you wish.

    And your overall cost is going to be very similar. USB microphones is more expensive than their equivalents not USB, and something like the Behringer will make the difference. So for a similar expense, you will get a system that works, more viable output and some monitoring available. I would say it was a mistake, myself.

  • Insert hyphen after the first two digits

    I don't see just how I can insert the hyphen in one of my filed talbe. for example I have 123456789, 321654987 I want just to add the hyphen after the first two digits. 12-3456789, 32-1654987. Do I need an update statement to change that in my talbe. Thank you

    Of course, the column is VARCHAR2, then

    UPDATE t
       SET a = SUBSTR( a, 1, 2 ) || '-' || SUBSTR( a, 3 );

    Or you can leave it as it is and create a new view on the table in the format of the string you want.
    Or you can just format the selection of the table.
    Or you can add a virtual column with data formatted as you wish.

    All depends on your needs.

  • How can I get my two headphone microphone jack to work with a single shot?

    My 510 had two jacks, but my 520 has only one. I want to use the microphone on my headset... even if I can't use the headphone speakers at the same time. How can I get my laptop from the microphone to the microphone headset? The built-in function takes too much background noise.

    Thank you.

    Abigail

    Dear AbigailCW,

    I'm afraid that it will not work. Two jacks, one of which was a standard on older PCs, serves as input and audio output microphone, in short, audio out, voice went in through your microphone. This has changed now because of recent trends and can be inconvenient for most users.

    I solved this problem by buying a USB soundcard with these two entries, and it cost me about US $ 10. As its USB cards helps stimulate an additional gain so I better sound now than ever. May be worth it.

    Best regards.

  • Measure the time between two digital pulse

    Hello

    For a non-critical calendar application, I need to measure the time interval between consecutive TTL pulses, ranging from the order of 0.5 s for a few seconds, with a low accuracy of +/-10-50ms. The interval being measured varies between the rising edge of the first pulse and the front of the next and so on.

    I have several input lines I need to deal with. Because it's a critical machination low cost, I don't want to use digital counters for each line, so I work with an acquisition of data USB6008 and have connected the input rows TTL on the digital inputs of the device. Avoiding will be sufficient.

    I found a good example of VI on discussion forums that does almost the same thing, only it uses instead of the DAQ Assistant user input. The VI works including the time the program going on in a while loop. I replaced with the DAQ Assistant output (a channel) user input in the hope that it is still work.

    When I run the program in "run once" mode, it seems to work perfectly. However, in "continuous run" it measures only a very small interval, probably just the time between two samples.  I think it has something to do with the help of a while loop in combination with the DAQ Assistant. Anyone who has any suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    OK... first of all, you should never use the button "run continuously.  I wish that NEITHER would be to eliminate it, but told me that it is sometimes useful for debugging.  If you want your program to run over and over again, use a while loop with a stop"" button.

    If I'm reading your code correctly, you make your initial moment, and then collect data from data acquisition.  When one of the channels is "T", you stop your loop and the end time of capture.  (By the way, why you convert your table to a cluster?  Why not just index the appropriate channel in the table directly?)

    Since you want to capture the time between two consecutive pulses, you need to know when a transition has occurred... i. e when your digital line went from F (no pulse) to T (pulse start).  This will give you your forehead.  Right now, all you're doing is looking for a value T - so you have no way of knowing if you are looking for to the previous impulse again, or a new impetus.  You also burn 100% of your processor with the way you have your programme in place.

    You need a small loop delay so that your VI is not 100% of your hogs CPU time.  Given that you can live with an accuracy of 50msec, what I suggest that you use.

    See attached picture for you give an idea of how to implement.  He will probably need some refining operations, but it should point you in the right direction.

    I hope this helps.
