  the original size is different from the print size.

  You may need to crop photos to the size you want
  print to ensure that no clipping will occur. Cropping
  to a different aspect ratio will lose some parts of the picture but
  at least you have control over it.

  Hello!

  I have a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1015. The problem is that when I print using A4 size paper, printing (text/image) will be resized to fit in a size letter paper. But if I print on a legal (8.5x14) size or custom size paper (8.5x13), printing will not be reduced.

  I don't know what is the issue and I hope that someone can help me since our office uses the format A4.

  If I understand correctly the printer prints the customer size and legal size as it should be, but resizes printing A4 to letter size.

  I am pleased to learn that the passage is a practical solution for you.

  The other possible solution which seemed to be a finding a setting under print quality-> Optimize-> light Media and put on IT.

  I don't have a CM6040MFP to check this setting, but it's just an alternative to consider.

  Personally I have found that a high coverage near the leading edge of the media, some printers can sometimes cause an increased rate of jam.  So I think that your shift is a viable solution.

  I'm operating a HP7640 all-in-one.  connected via USB to my Dell computer operating windows 7.  When I try to print photos, the book 'size of preferences' all contain a padlock.  How can I remove the lock?  I can re - print a picture of the bed of the scanner.  The 7640 even allow me to print photos on the computer?

  I'm really surprised that an HP expert or someone could not answer my question.  But I understood it.  There will always be padlock on the choice of papers on the7640.  The reason is that it requires that you manually change photo paper 8.5X11regular paper.  So you cannot change the type of paper only from the computer.  To understand, put paper in the printer and look at the selections.  Then change the paper and see him again.  You will not be able to load the two paper trays at the same time.

• HP 8600 Pro: lines on paper printed from a copy

  I also have the mentioned lines previously, but with a slightly different twist. I can scan to a computer of the ADF or the drink with zero problems. When I COPY the glass and feel, it looks like I have the longitude on my copy. Fine, I can print. I can scan to a computer very well. I can't copy and print from the glass.

  I cleaned the scanner glass, I cleaned up the white plastic, I cleaned the short glass in front of the scanner glass. Variations null.

  If it's something that I need to replace I'm not sure it will be with a HP. This is my fourth all in one I have owned, and I did have problems with none so far. I am open to suggestions and if possible, an explanation of why I can scan to a computer out of the window, but when I copy the glass to print I get longitude. Yes, I scanned and printed with just a piece of plain white paper to make sure it wasn't some kind of copyright protection. I am at a loss for an explanation, but would like to hear the why of this...

  I see that you are unable to copy from the glass of the scanner. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem.   Usually, when you see this type of lines, it is caused by something on the glass a shadow. Because you do not get the lines during the scan from the scanner glass. I'm more inclined to assume that there is something else causing the problem. As the current or a firmware issue.

  Please confirm that you are able to scan using the scanner flat glass without producing lines.

  Follow the steps in this guide:

  • Vertical stripes, lines or streaks on Copies, faxes or scan

  I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

  1. Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.

  I suggest you do a hard reset with the printer.

  Hard Reset:

  Take out the toner cartridges.

  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall

  Wait for 30 seconds

  Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

  Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

  Let me know the results

• Horizontal wrinkles paper printer HP Pro 8600 Plus

  The printer worked fine, but now the printed copy comes out with a few horizontal wrinkles in it.  The first is about 3 inches down from the top of the page and the second is about 2 inches below the first.  Wrinkles are not tough, not as if the paper were folded and crumpled, but they are originally a horizontal stripe on some documents.
