HP 8600 Pro: lines on paper printed from a copy

I also have the mentioned lines previously, but with a slightly different twist. I can scan to a computer of the ADF or the drink with zero problems. When I COPY the glass and feel, it looks like I have the longitude on my copy. Fine, I can print. I can scan to a computer very well. I can't copy and print from the glass.

I cleaned the scanner glass, I cleaned up the white plastic, I cleaned the short glass in front of the scanner glass. Variations null.

If it's something that I need to replace I'm not sure it will be with a HP. This is my fourth all in one I have owned, and I did have problems with none so far. I am open to suggestions and if possible, an explanation of why I can scan to a computer out of the window, but when I copy the glass to print I get longitude. Yes, I scanned and printed with just a piece of plain white paper to make sure it wasn't some kind of copyright protection. I am at a loss for an explanation, but would like to hear the why of this...

Hi @Photo8620,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to copy from the glass of the scanner. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

Usually, when you see this type of lines, it is caused by something on the glass a shadow. Because you do not get the lines during the scan from the scanner glass. I'm more inclined to assume that there is something else causing the problem. As the current or a firmware issue.

Please confirm that you are able to scan using the scanner flat glass without producing lines.

Follow the steps in this guide:

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

  1. Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  2. Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
  3. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a bar or a surge protector).
  4. Try another outlet to current/piece.
  5. Try a different power cable.
  6. Try to copy a blank sheet of paper.
  7. What were the results?

What operating system do you use?

If the problem persists and that lines when copying using the scanner flat glass. I have recommended to perform a reset complete semi. I can send you this information in a private message. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

If you have completed all the above steps and your product still has a problem, service the product.

  • Over Pro 8600 black line vertically when printing from charger only

One year old Officejet Pro 8600 Plus on iMac running OSX Maverick works very well.  For the last week, all the copies show clean, black, original vertical when line is loaded from the top of the charger page. This line does not appear when they are copied from the glass.  The line stops about 1/8 "from top and bottom of the copy.  It is exactly 6 "between the left edge of the copy, 2-1/2" from the right edge.  I had a paper jam tray - but months before this line started to show.  Nothing else recently that I'm aware of that could be the cause.

How can I get rid of him?  Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Office Pro 476dw - don't print from Tray 1

    Hello!

I recently bought a 476dw Office Pro, and it will print from Tray 1 when I select an envelope #10 or legal size paper.  I am trying to print labels with a format sheet letter Tray 1.  I chose precisely the paper as "Tray1" Source, but it will not draw labels and printing from tray 2.  Can you please adivse how I can direct the printer to Tray 1?

    Thank you!

It is a configuration problem simple set tray.  You must make sure that the sending application fits on the correct document settings work before it hits the printer.  Once the printer receives the job he will review the parameters type and format of the document as well as the tray configurations it has available.  At that point, he will decide to print on a platter or another or ask the user to perform an action so that it can continue.

Try to print a sample of work such as work from another application.  If the same problem happens then there is a mismatch of the status bar on the printer.  If the problem does not recur from a different application there is a configuration problem on the initial application, which must be found and corrected.

  • My F4135 printer cannot scan and print from a copy

With the help of windows xp I can't copy a scan and print

    Hi Muzzik,

You can only print from Web sites?  Have you tried to print just a black paper as that of Notepad?

I think that the best way to start is with the basics on this one.  Here is a link to a document from HP to make a copy on this model.  If these steps do not work, then we can continue.

  • HP 8600 more unresponsive when you print from MacBook Pro

I just bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and I am using the printer on a network with windows and mac (layer, Imac, macbookpro). Printing with my windows (windows 8) are no problem. However the print with my macbook and the tablet will not work. Or the printjob freezes in the print queue (after 13%) or he know finished printjob and the printer does not respond.

I tried several times to reinstall the software, repeatedly reset the router, printer, and macbook but its still the same.

A new fact is that a printjob finally out of the printer after about an hour.

    Help!

    MacBook Pro with OS 10.7.5

    iPad 2

    Hi Herman,.

OK... to sum up cela a bit for my understanding...

1 printing works via AirPrint so connected in WiFi Direct to the printer.

    2. Printing now works very well with the HP printer driver in your typical network, but only with added using the IP printer.

Can you please also test printing with HP printer driver when the Officejet is connected via Wireless Direct and added as a device Hello? I'm curious to see if it works now, which means the HP printer driver works well.

It works, so the printer and driver are fine.

If that works fine, but still print via AirPrint or HP driver printer using Hello connection fails in your regular network, then this is somehow related to your router settings. Please check if all multicast or IGMP settings that need to be enabled or disabled. I also suggest to contact your service provider for details on your router.

  • HPOffice jet pro 8500 network cannot print from PC when it is connected

    Hello

I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 3 installed and have the HP Office Jet Pro 8500 connected to my PC and share it on my network. I had recently changed the visuals for my system and allocated some more virtual memory to improve performance of my system. We also did an upgrade of our software database (the update was made on all PC on our network).

Even if I have the printer connected to my PC, I am not able to print to this subject, other computers on the network has no problem printing to this printer, but when I send a job to the printer, the printer reacts as if it will start printing, gives a beep and stops, no error message is returned.

It seems that some service has been stopped, even though I don't see any HP service disabled in my list of services.
I am able to print a test page for my toolbox, but not from any other program installed on my PC.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

    C

To begin with, Wild Child, sounds like it could well be a configuration issue with the software. I will recommend that we will start by removing and reinstalling the software on the HP website directly. I'll link you to that, but I will not link you to the page for the A909a. You have not specified which 8500 you have, so if you have a different model number, you will need to find the support page for this printer.

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.
  • Inkjet HP 8600 so not able to print from office

Just recently my office ceased to be able to print via WiFi so all in one printer and the HP officejet 8600 in the next room. I headed to the printer and confirmed that the wifi on the LCD is on, it was. I tried to print the wireless network test results and everything seemed to be spent. He acknowledged the wireless and said it SPENDS about everything. There was a County 120 disconnection, disconnection count last hour 1 and disconnection count last 24 hours 1. Initially, I tried also to print wireless via my mac book, iPhone, iPad and laptop... And it is printed successfully. So I think that the problem is something that has changed with the printer. I tried the off-ramp of the firewall, but it doesn't always have to print. I went to the printer/device manager. Initially he had a warning triangle and I tried to solve the problems it but he tried different patches. One who came often asked me to 'turn on the printer. I use windows 7 64-bit. Help, please! Thanks in advance

What of even weirder is now, that the right printer printed among the papers that I tried to print. (I did a cycle of the printer and the router prior). So I tried another document and printed it after waiting a short while.  The part that bothers me is that when I ran printing HP and Scan Doctor later, he came with a message saying that it was impossible to connect to my printer. So there is no sense of why he does not communicate on my printer but just in case, he began to print something wireless in my computer. So, I've reconfigured the IP again according to the instructions (although the number is the same) and now it works like a charm. It's so random off the coast and so random on. I hope that this won't happen again... Cause I don't know even what really helped solve the problem if nothing...

  • Jet Office HP 8600 pro: cannot turn on printer HP 8600 office pro jet

The printer worked fine two days ago.  Don't ask me why I turned off the power, but I did.  Now I can't get it to power.  The plugs are all well sitting, I tried it in different outlets where I know I can exist.  I have tried holding down the power button slightly, firmly, quickly, long hold.  Nothing happens.

Is there a fuse or something fixable which could be replaced?  If there is a problem with the power button itself, it is still fixable?

Of course, he left guarantee one a few months ago... numbers.

    No help for it?

    Hello

Open Control Panel and go to devices and printers.

Right-click the printer icon, then select printer properties.

    Open the device settings tab.

Assign the form to tray assignment as necessary for the differenct bins.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

It seems that this model is not compatible AirPrint, but you should be able to use the hp eprint app to print wireless from your ipad - download the application and make sure that your printer and your ipad are connected to the same wifi network. When it is finished, you should be mean print wireless from the eprint app.

  • 4500 envy: Envy 4500 print from Notepad

Want to 4500.  Installed as printer wifi.  Test page printed, analyzed correctly.

Cannot print from Word, Excel, etc..  Print not since Acrobat (reader or pro).

    You print from Notepad.

That's why I used to Kinko's for so many years.  Woman wants now to our own printer, and I get this.

He solved.  Looking for 2 days in the forums found MANY people with this problem.

Found a person who actually had a solution... Create a new user account in Windows and give him Admin rights.

My printer now prints word, excel, etc. files.  But I have now two folders of Documents, downloads, etc. to manage.

As the other person speculated he must have something to do with permissions on the first administrator account.

I will continue to compare permissions between my two accounts to find the right setup and will put the info here for others to use.

Until then, fix solution is to create a new user.  Permission settings SHOULD be part of the HP print & scan software game or AT LEAST part of the scan doctor.

    Good luck to all

  • HP officejet pro 8600 - cannot print from my macbook pro

We just bought a new HP officejet pro 8600 but for some reason, we cannot get my macbook pro to print on it. My mac says it is connected to it. It is listed in the printer only and all the settings look fine, but when I send a document to the printer, it will not be printed. He did print the first day we had (a week ago) but it stopped and we cannot figure out what to do. My daughter's PC will be printed, as well as the pc of my husband. It is the first time that I had problems printing to a hp from my mac. Any thoughts?

I had my Officejet Pro 8600 about six months.  Recently, I had the same problem.  It continues to print from my Windows computers but not the Mac.   Labour goes into the impression that it is place on a wedge.  I tried many fixes, including the removal of the printer and reinstall.  Usually removing and reinstalling it will fix for a while, but now, even that does not work.  In my view, that the permanent solution is to buy another printer.
