Only 6 months; has had the problem on and off--especially on - since day 1, but did not notice earlier as seems the last much longer when the Surface is connected to the same source wi-fi at the same time, which is how I am able to stay in contact long enough to ask this question.

By using an AT & T broadband everywhere NetGear "MiFi" unit.

1 surface Pro remains connected w / no problem.

Card Wi - Fi = Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2 x 2 Wi - Fi adapter

I went into device mgr, are looking for the latest drivers, and Windows reported best drivers are already present.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem?   Any ideas?

It is very frustrating, help or direction would be appreciated.

My laptop is a hp envy 15-3247nr with all windows 8 drivers installed and updated including the BIOS. It's okay I'm trying, my wifi option remains grayed out even to disable airplane mode. The f12 key stays orange and does not come on until I restart my laptop in a couple times. Help, please.

(all drivers are up-to-date and in working order and Yes, the power of the network adapter settings have been changed to not save energy)

Yes, I tried the utility intel to uptate pilot and he was one of the network drivers and windows 8 but when I tried to install it, an error message would come to saying that I had so he couldn't install the supported operating system.

And Yes, I went into the bios and set all my settings to the default values and after that point it began to work.

what I specifically made back my driver of network to an earlier version, and then I went into my bios and changed my setting of network adapter the opposite of what they were (activated or deactivated the opposite), restarted my computer (does not solve my computer), so then I went back into the bios and reset all settings to the default values, and after this point is at the beginning of my wifi to connect without having to restart my computer and so far so good.

  • Poor wifi and Bluetooth connectivity after iOS 9.3.1

9.3.1 IOS is installed on my iPhone 6 wifi in my house guard fall!

My Bluetooth connectivity keeps cutting to work! So annoyin!

General suggestions for Wi - Fi problems, maybe one of them will help you...

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (4) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

  • Impossible to set up a wifi or ethernet connection after clean install XP

Hi, I recently did a fresh install of XP on a laptop Toshiba Equim M50 - 164 PSM57E of friends by following the instructions in this link.

    http://www.easydesksoftware.com/i386.htm

I now have extreme difficulties set up the internet connection wifi, no wireless icon made its appearance in the bottom right of the screen. I tried to download Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter 7.7.0.406.2 on an external drive, then transferring it to the Toshiba laptop, but it still does not work.

It seems that pilots are not install correctly and may not appear in the Device Manager, nor can I connect to the internet via a usb cable.

Please help because my friend is very angry and I am now at a loss what to do.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The question is: have you installed all necessary drivers, tools and utilities?
Have you finalised the installation of OS and all hardware components?
Wireless network adapter installed and correctly listed in the Device Manager?

    Hello

Thanks for your posting in the Microsoft community

As I read the full question, you did not mention what you have taken to correct the isuse of step
Basically, this problem happens because of the Wifi configuration

Go to Device Manager by right clicking on the section of the computer,
And go to the properties of the wireless Ethernet drivers in device list.
After going to the last TAB properties will be power management, click on this and you will get two options as

""Allow this computer turn off wifi to save energy.

    Just uncheck and try again

    And back here

My pro iPad connects to the WIFI, but loses connectivity to drops in use.  My other IOS devices (iPhone, macbook, etc.) do not have this problem.  Ideas to solve?

    Hello BrooklynWM!

I definitely want my iPad to stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection while I use it.  Thanks for posting that other iOS and OS X devices have no problem with the connectivity dropping.  We can try a few things.

Would first go through the steps listed in this article: If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi-Fi - Apple Support Network

Then if it does not help, you can check network settings with this: recommended for the WiFi routers and access - points Apple supported

After trying those, if you still see the drop connectivity, make sure the iPad Pro is updated with iOS 9.3.2 and check to see if the connection when you are in a certain place, time, or one event happening elsewhere in the House.

    Best regards.

  • Studio XPS 8100 Wifi not recognize connections

Hello, I recently moved to College with my Dell Studio XPS 8100. The school offers wifi, which I can connect to a bit on my laptop, telephones and even consoles. However, my computer tower in the same exact place can't save even that wifi connections exist.

While the school wifi does not seem to use some sort of proxy, I can locate and connect to it fine on my laptop Dell Inspiron positioned at the same place as my turn, so I don't think there is a problem with the routers or the school wifi connection. There are also other close connections (my roommate printer, wifi from a neighbor) that are independent of the school which are also not be picked up by my computer. Only, he has a red X over the wifi symbol and said that no connection is available.

While at home, I had no problem and the unit has not changed since then. I don't think there is a wifi external change, so I don't think I fell anything during the move. (But if I'm wrong, please let me know).

As far as I can tell, I've checked the Device Manager, all the drivers seem to be activated and functioning. I tried a system restore to the week last to see if an update may have changed something, but it had no effect. I also went to the Dell drivers & downloads and downloaded and installed the latest network driver (1525 Wireless Atheros WLAN Mini Card Desktops, v.8.0.0.376, A02) which was available for my model. It also did not help.

    System information:

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, a computer without wifi does me no good so I'm banging my head on the wall trying to figure this one out.

Well, I must say that I am a little disappointed that I have not received a response from the help here. Way to go Dell. Really feel the 'support '.

I love how a problem one sentence posted a few days later got more than 100 responses. Maybe next time I not giving all the details of the sentence and just say "my wifi is not working help me please?

Anyway, pretty passive aggressive. For anyone who comes across this post with the same problem, here is how I fixed it:

I jumped open the computer because I was sure it was a hardware problem, and of course, there was a layer of dust on my ethernet card and connection strips but seemed dull and did not make a good connection. Carefully, I removed the card and cleaned, replace it. I also made sure my antenna that comes with the computer has been fully connected (believe me, this tour can not pick up wifi at all without them, to ensure that the antenna is in!)

A few reboots later and he remained in service.

  • Problem getting my WiFi connection after the mode 'sleep'

After my computer wakes from sleep mode, I click on my WiFi network every time to get on the internet.  If I restart my computer, it detects my WiFi network and connects ok.  It's just at the time when it wakes from sleep.  I tried many solutions that people have posted for example to remove some files from my SystemConfig., but have had no luck.

    Hi joycefromil,

I understand that your Mac has problems automatically re-login to a Wi - Fi saved after wake up from its sleep. I can understand the concern here; It seems that it would be a bit tedious to have to re - connect manually whenever you wake your Mac from sleep. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

As a first step, try to remove your Wi - Fi network in the preferred networks list and then add again using the steps here:

macOS Sierra: choose the preferred Wi - Fi networks

Try to test for the problem to see if it persists. If so, I recommend that you try to start your Mac in safe mode and test for the issue. Once you're done test in safe mode, restart your machine normally and try test again to see if the problem has been resolved.

If the problem persists in safe mode, try to create a test on your Mac user account to see if the problem is here. This will help to further isolate the issue. Take a look at this Web site for more information:

  • The most convenient airport and Arris CM820 modem drop connection

I have Airport Extreme 6 Gen and a few months back from a 'new' Arris CM820 Time Warner Cable modem. Since then, I did have slowly and dropped connection problems a day - mostly in the evening so that streaming on Apple TV and Roku, and navigation devices on the MacBook Air and iPads at the same time. Each time, I do unplug it, wait 30 seconds and plug back in and it's good for a while. But it happens almost every day. I have been emailing and talking by phone with a representative from Apple support for a few weeks (had a record of the case), then she disappeared on me. I've updated firmware (v 7.7.7). Have also tried using a 5 G network as an alternative - but there is no help. Anyone else having these issues with the 'new' modems THAT TWC sends?

If you have already tested the modem, try to choose a time when you can turn off the AirPort router and connect your Mac directly to the modem for a day or two to try things like that.

Alternatively, you can of course call TWC support and have them check the line and the modem, but you already know that they will say that "things seem good to here" and that "the problem must be another device, like your router. .. even though things worked very well before receiving the 'new' modem.

If the MacBook Air listed in your slogan is the only Mac you have, then you will need a lightning Apple Ethernet adapter to perform this test.   Maid in Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

If connection problems continue when you have the Mac connected directly to the modem, the modem would then become a strong suspect.  This is possible.  But, it is also possible that the connection remains stable throughout your test... and if it's the result, TWC has strong arguments to say that their service and the modem are working well.

Until then, you really don't know if you have a modem problem, a problem of the airport, or as can sometimes be the case... a modem - router compatibility issue. In such cases, the modem out OK and airport does as well, and each manufacturer blames the other for the problem.

Please post on your 'test' results in the next few days.

  • WiFi is not connecting

I have a mini end of 2014. When I went to use it yesterday for the first time in a few days, the wifi was not connected. When I tried to connect, it says it can't connect to my router and you want to run diagnostics, she did, but went to the writing of the file when finished. I deleted the network in the network settings. In the wifi connect icon he registered the network with a signal strong. Asked the password when I tried to connect, then he said he could not connect and you want to run diagnostics. Other devices use the same router wired and wireless, so I doubt that it is the router. The signal is fine, the computer is in a loft with router down under and it is no problem to this place for years. I restarted with hardware diagnostics and he couldn't find anything. Any ideas? I can do almost anything with the generated report? I don't see anything in Apple help to know what to do with it.

You can turn off and on the router?

Yo there an error like incorrect password?

Wireless indicator shows an intense tone, but when I click on connect after that 10 seconds, it says connected failed.

    Is this a problem with x 64?
    I've tried the recovery disks

    Can anyone help?
    Thank you

    Rob

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is, but there must be a problem with the WLAN settings I guess. What else? Your laptop can detect your router. Question is: what router do you have, what WLAN standard do you use, and you have WIFI password or not.

Have you tried to reboot your router and check again?
When you unlock your router you have the same problem?
