HP Wireless Elite Desktop: Possible false HP support

How can I prevent the company that contacted me about problems with my computer now I think is a false support to access my personal information that I gave to them?

I'm sorry that happened to you!

Hmm...  Well, you gave them the information - you do not know what they will do with it.

Try to protect you 'after the fact' - a few ideas:

  • Change all your passwords - for everything.  Do it.
  • Talk to your bank - let them know what happened and ask them to block transactions.  Download new debit and Charge cards.  Change your user name and password of your bank account online.
  • Invest in a decent security software - you are beyond the point where it can prevent damage to have given personal information - software security can help prevent someone / something to sneak into the system to enjoy again.
  • There where possible, get new accounts - for example, if you can't stand, get a new e-mail address.
  • Ask your health care if you change your user name to your web account (if you have that).
  • Get an answering machine and use it to filter all calls - your family will get quickly used to leave a message that says: ' Hey, it's me! "  Pick up! "Not answering unknown calls.  (Thieves have your phone number now - they will probably share with others who might benefit).

Talk to a friend, your pastor, a neighbor or a family member - do not go through this experience trumatic by yourself.  You're not the only one to whom this happened.

Hi, as the title says: can I use the Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 keyboard and receiver with a Mobile 4000 mouse? I have the kit, but the mouse is to bulky for me and I would use a mouse Microsoft Mobile 4000 but with the same receiver as the keyboard of the kit, is it possible? Thank you

    Hello

looks at it's not going to work. Wireless products are programmed to be used with a specific key, so they won't work on another dongle.

  • HP Wireless Elite keyboard (2) communicate do not at all.

My keyboard elite wireless HP (mouse) has worked with my old laptop and another computer, plug and play, even if I don't install any software.   However, it does not connect with my new.    The laptop and another desktop computer on which he has worked have since crashed.  Today, I tried 2 HP Wireless Elite keyboard on a different laptop and 2 new desktop computers, without success.

Plug the USB hub, the computer says that it loads the driver fine, but not output from the keyboards at all. I tried:

    • Press and hold the connection button on the keyboard several times.
    • I loaded the software and the icon shows that the batteries are full.
    • I changed the batteries, in any case, nothing helps.
    • Checked the control panel. The keyboard is displayed in devices and printers, and the State shows that it works very well.
    • I tried to update the driver through properties of the device, but he said that the last one is already installed.
    • I went to the HP website and downloaded the new software, anyway, but not luck.

I tried the above on 3 different computers. Two have Windows 7 64-bit and Windows XP 64-bit.  Same results.  I have also another HP Wireless Elite keyboard bought a few years ago but never opened until today.   It's showing the same exact symptoms.

I noticed that the blue light on the USB hub is still only on a few seconds when it is plugged in (two of them). It lights when you press the button to connect, or when a key is pressed.    I thought that this light flashes all the time, or at least when I was typing, even though it was plugged into the back of the computer, so I may be wrong on exactly when it came.  I remember just that blinking, used to be distracting during the night.

I hate to have to buy new keyboards when I two of my favorites here. They are not cheap, either.

I was finally able to get the keyboard to work.  It turns out that it was the TYPE of battery used.  Duracell copper top, new brand Energizer Ultimate Lithium ($$) and industrial Energizer did NOT work.  I used the batteries provided with the new keyboard and it works.  They say just Energizer on them, no special effects or adjectives thereafter.

    It's incredibly picky.

  • Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2 - drivers Windows 7 x 64

    Hello

    I just bought a combo of Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0 for myWindows 7 x 64, i.e.

    • a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 700 v2.0

    • and a wireless mouse 700 v2.0

Keyboard and mouse work fine. The problem is that in Device Manager that theyappear as HID-compliant devices.

In addition, that there is no support for devices in Intellipoint 8.0 (x 64)

QUESTION: Where can I download Windows 7 64 - bit drivers for Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0?

    Thanks in advance

My keyboard worked fine, and then all of a sudden it stopped working. This fix worked for me in Windows 8:

    Step 1.

Open this location: Panel-hardware and sound-devices and printers.
    Step 2.
Now, right click on "Microsoft wireless transceiver" and press "Properties".
    Step 3.
Click on the "Hardware" tab, click on the driver and the 'Properties' hit down in the left corner.
    Step 4.
Click on the "Hardware" tab and click on "change settings" down in the right corner. Now click on the tab "Driver" , then on "update driver software...  ».

    Step 5.
Now the fun part. I don't know how it was in Windows 7 (maybe the same?), but in Windows 8 you will like that. Click on ""Browse my computer for driver software ' and then on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer". "
    Step 6.
Now, click the driver "USB Composite Device" NOT on the "Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0". And click on continue.
    Last step 7.
If the keyboard is not working properly, do step 6 just yet once now update you your driver "USB Composite Device" to the ""Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0 " driver." And it should look something like this (this is the Norwegian):
And your done! I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000

Hi, I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000, and I would like to know if you can use a USB (nano receiver) receiver rather than the other receiver, because I have a computer set up on my tv and I want to be on the couch with my keyboard, but the keyboard for me needs to be less than 10 cm of the receiver, so it kinda defeats the purpose to have a keyboard and wireless mouse when a wired connection must be fair to side of you.

    Hello

Unfortunately not because the receiver is bound to the mouse and keyboard.

That distance doesn't seem to be a bit on the short side so check with material support.

  • Mouse Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000: do not use the new Intellipoint

I have the Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 B7T-00020-B. The keyboard works fine with the latest driver, but the Intellipoint software recommended for this mouse [model: 1052] by Widows Update causes instructions magnifying glass and the mouse to start randomly wih no way to stop it. You have to start in safe mode to remove the driver, BUT it leaves a condition behind this function of normal mouse affect. Menus not roll down and stay, they go too fast click. The button in the Explorer does not work. My challenge was to re - install Intellipoint, download Revo Uninstaller and start in safe mode and used to rub the driver anywhere.

    Hello Elvinbrent,

I suggest you to check with the Microsoft Hardware support for more information.

  • Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop works with BT integrated?

    Hi guys,.

I was wondering if the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 (keyboard and mouse combo bluetooth) works with the built-in bluetooth (Satellite A300-1QM) module. Any experience anyone? I would like to know if I should use the (usb) bluetooth dongle that comes with the Office Wireless or if I can use the integrated bluetooth in Toshiba.

    Thanks in advance,
    Head of bed.

This keyboard and mouse don't work with the receiver Bluetooth internal.
You need the dongle that you get with these input devices.

2 disconnect the receiver wireless mouse and disable the mouse

It will work with a 2.1 Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop receiver. So maybe the operating frequencies are different?

    Thank you

Since then I've been able to solve my problem.

It seems that mouse, when you buy as a set of office, are "coded" somehow work with the receiver for this game. A little logic, I guess.

So thank you for the interest of all.
