HP won't let me use my printer

I have owned my HP Photosmart 7960 printer for about three or four years and used with the Windows XP operating system.

I have just updated to Windows 7.

When I check my compatibility it says all the driver are OK and all the boxes are ticked in green except for one telling

"I DON'T HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS ON MY PRINTER.

I always use my e-mail address. Can anyone help?

This isn't a problem of HP or linked to your e-mail address, it relates to how your system is configured.  Follow these steps: log on to Windows 7 with an account with administrator privileges.  Go to start, devices and printers, right-click on the Photosmart 7960 printer, security properties.  Click everyone, and then set the check boxes for the appropriate privileges, OK.
