At the top of this page, you will find a search. Enter the number of the model of the computer and press to enter. This will take you to the support page where you can download the manuals for the laptop you want. You can read and get a pretty good handle on where everything is.

  • Satellite L650 - where are located the Office Setup files

    Hey there

I have a problem with office 2007 on my L650 and need to locate the files of configuration/cabins to rerun the Setup program.

Anyone have any ideas where the files are?

    See you soon

BTW the prob with Office is when I click on a file to open in office (ie: work.docx) spits out an error saying action valid only for installed products!
Yet, the icon is there and everything is installed, this happened 2 days without apparent reason.

I tried to go directly in MS Office file and initialize the word of the "EXE" and it gave me a memory error output.
Tried to uninstall in Control Panel and still another error came.

in any case if someone can help please.

AFAIK the office is preinstalled on your laptop and you can't restart the installation again it of just a trial version and if you want to have a full version, you need to make a purchase.

In your case, I see only one solution: the device must be reset to the factory settings for Office works again.

  • where are located the user passwords?

Please, help me security oracle clearfy. Oracle contains passwords encrypted in the datadictionary why oracle wants us to create a password file during manual installation?

    Hello

There is difference between the users of the Application and DBA uses. What ever the password file, you plan for DBA users.

If the ADMINISTRATOR wants to start an Oracle instance there must be a way for Oracle to authenticate this DBA. That's if (s) he is allowed to do. Obviously, the password can be stored in the database, because Oracle cannot access the database before the instance is started. Therefore, the DBA user authentication must be done outside the database. There are two distinct mechanisms to authenticate the user DBA: using the file password or through the operating system.

The init parameter remote_login_passwordfile Specifies if a file password is used to authenticate the user DBA or not. If she defined either shared or exclusive use a password file.

The default location for the password file is:
    $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/orapw$ ORACLE_SID on Unix and
    %ORACLE_HOME%\database\PWD%ORACLE_SID%.ora on Windows.

Remote_login_passwordfile Specifies if Oracle finds a password file, and if this password file is shared between databases. The following values are possible:
    None
Oracle ignores the password file, if it exists.
    exclusive
Password file is exclusively used by a database. Any user can be added to the password file.
    internal
Used for Oracle Parallel Server shared the password file is shared between databases. However, the only users who can be authenticated are sys (and obsoletly: internal).

If the password file is shared, only SYS can be added to the password file.

  • Where are located the scans?

I just finished installing my new J6480 HP printer all in one wireless.  I used the base printer and scan drivers only, not the suite complete.

I can access the webscan by visiting the IP directly via my web browser... I can see the preview scan very well... But when I hit SCAN, I don't know where's the pic.

I checked all the famous places... MY DOCUMENTS, MY PICTURES, HP, etc... but no luck!

Can I download the complete HP software to make it work?

If you know what you scanned as... (.jpg, .bmp, .tiff) do a search for this *.jpg format or * .tiff.

The character generic star will find all files with this extension on your computer.

  • Where are located the link icon images? I would like to back them up.

I bookmarked many sites in my favorites folder. Each of the links here has a little image given by this Web site.
Whenever I have uninstall Firefox and then later install a new version, all these favorite links lost icons. The only way is to go to each site to recreate them, but it is very time consuming.

Is it possible to make a backup of it?
I'm sure that this isn't the prefs.js file because I tried before and it didn't restore link icons.

  • Is there a file where are stored the data pause & rewind live TV in Windows Media Center?

Is there a file where are stored the data pause & rewind live TV in Windows Media Center? More to the point - how can I save the time shift buffer in WMC?

I would like to know if it is possible to find the data that Windows Media Center is to store during her watch TV Online. I don't speak data WMC stores by itself to allow the use of the function of pause & rewind live TV, how to find files that you have saved yourself by pressing the Red record button.

For example, I often live TV playing on the computer in the background while I do something else. Can I see or hear a brief fact/clip/segment of interest that flashes by and I think, ' I wish I had recorded that. " If I go back to the bit I wanted to capture and hit record, it will not capture the part I want, it will start recording from the point, the program has achieved in real time.

Does anyone know where the actual data of the TV are kept so that I can retrieve these clips that interest me, but were never recorded by me manually? I found the "TempRec" in the folder "Recorded TV" - anyone know how to convert this video (if indeed it is the location where you store temporary data for pause & rewind live TV)?

If not, is it possible to enable a feature in WMC, which automatically starts the recording of TV channels as soon as you go to them? This way I can record everything, then just cut all the scenes of interest using Movie Maker. If not, are there other Win7 compatible programs that will do this?

    Thank you.

Apparently, there is a way to achieve the goal.

A nice gentleman from the Germany wrote dll that create a "time-shift buffer recording" add-in for WindowsMedia Center (for Vista and XP only) which can be found at:

    http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/p/3...83.aspx#162083

For Windows 7, there would currently be via a 3rd party of program, i.e. PowerCinema 6, which records from any point in the time shift buffer zone - I don't know why Microsoft has not also incorporated this feature into WMC for have other programs third 3rd (including EyeTV for the Mac).

Unfortunately, suggestions from another forum to change file extensions in .tmp .dvr-ms TempSBE and double-click on the file to read the file of time lag in WMC, does not work in Windows 7 x 64 (the message in this forum has been regarding the Vista x 64), however, I have not tried with other versions of Windows - I would like to know if anyone has had some luck using this method.

Even if it had worked, I think I would have always preferred the usability and features of a program that does the job for me, like Power Cinema - damage, it could not have been WMC. What do you think?

    Thank you.

  • Could you change default directory where are stored the Essbase cubes?

    Hello everyone:

I wonder if it is possible to change the default directory (+ / app / < apps > / < cube > +) where are stored the Essbase applications and cubes. Really, I have two questions:

    (1) is it possible to specify a new path where are stored the cubes?
    (2) could be using multiple paths at the same time? I mean, using the default route and an alternative route.

This could be a good way to quickly generate space using, for example, external hard drives, couldn't?

    Thank you

    Concerning

    Javier

I know of no limitation. You don't know where you just point do has enough disk space.

Updated based on feedback from Glenn: must ensure that backup procedures Essbase are scripted to choose among different locations.
