HP ZBook F0U66EA and integrated Thunderbolt port question

Hello!

The Thunderbolt on HP ZBook F0U66EA port will work with the new Thunderbolt optical cable to 30 m? Or for only 2 meters copper cables?

Tnks!

The zBook works with any cable Thunderbolt, copper or fiber.  Copper to Fiber Converter is in the cable itself, not the PC, and the cables can operate with any port Thunderbolt.

Fiber optic cables have a much greater range than copper cables, but they won't deliver power to the terminal, the terminal must be powered from wall.

My Thunderbolt screen has only 1 thunderbolt port, how can I Garland with 1 single port?

It has two ports Thunderbolt.  One is connected to the cable, the other is on the back of the screen.  If you can't find the Thunderbolt port, you will have the Mini DisplayPort in the screen version.  It has three USB ports on the back.  The Thunderbolt display has three USB ports, a FireWire port, an Ethernet port, and a Thunderbolt port on the back.

(The Mini DisplayPort version cannot be connected in a string.)

My goal is to have the implementation of site with a layout for desktop, Tablet and phone. My question is when I have a redirect page should I create a separate provision of the page for each device or just a provision of office that fits all three screen sizes? By Payal integration, you mean paypal html button? or etc payment gateway configuration? If this is a configuration of the gateway to your site domain name then a single page with any structure will work, but if you use the button code for all associated formats then you will need to create separate pages for all.

  • How to use a Thunderbolt Port for 2 functions

I have a Macbook Air 2011 with a Thunderbolt Port only.

I use it to connect an external monitor through, and I also want to hang on to my Ethernet cable that is not possible because the thunderbolt Jack is already taken by the external monitor.

Question: What can I do to use the same Port Thunderbolt (the external display and the ethernet cable)?

Is there such a thing as a "Thunderbolt separator '?

    Thanks for any help,

    Nam

    Yes!

There are a few manufacturers that make docks of love at first sight for this purpose. Belkin is a.

They usually have ethernet, USB, VGA, HDMI and other ports available from a connection single blow of lightning. Apple sells any part of it on their Web site, but you would probably find on Amazon etc as well.

Now, be careful if your Mac supports Thunderbolt (i.e. version1). Some docks may Thunderbolt 2 only, so you must make sure that you choose one that suits. Thunderbolt 2 is only on recent Macs.

I hope that most will support the standard Thunderbolt port.

  • Cable Thunderbolt does not fit into the Thunderbolt ports in my iMac mid-2011

I have a Mac Mini (purchased in early 2015) I want to fix it up to use at work. I need to reformat home using my iMac (mid 2011) as screen and then copy all files and applications from the iMac to the Mac Mini. Both have ports Thunderbolt. So I bought a Thunderbolt cable from a third party (!) and I'm baffled... the cable, both ends, is part of the Mac Mini but does not fit (either end, either the port, there are 2) in the iMac, no matter how hard I jiggle it. It is not the cable... but I'm confused as to how the TWO ports on my iMac could be wasted. Believe it or not, I have never tried to use before. PS., they are certainly the Thunderbolt ports, with the lightning bolt symbol bit.

1A everyone has ever encountered this? All my other ports work fine.

    2. is there another way to target display mode in addition to crush on both machines? I found this article: use your iMac as a display with the target - Apple Support Display Mode and it seems that I can use only Thunderbolt, but I wanted to make sure.

Have you tried to return to the end of the cable? Don't be offended, it's happened.

  • Thunderbolt ports inactive after installing Little Snitch

Short description of the problem: the Thunderbolt ports inactive, but connected on OSX

    The problem:

Following a recommendation of a "COMPUTER technician", I installed the demo of Little Snitch.

After installing it, nothing worked, no internet, nothing.  Since it's a tool like Firewall, I started to change the configuration of this tool, but nothing helped.

Soon, I discovered that the tool had a lot to do, given that love at first sight for the Ethernet card did nothing more am.

I ran the uninstall program provided by the creators of Little Snitch and then (to be sure) rebooted the macbook pro.

After the reboot, the thunderbolt ports (tried both) didn't do anything... they remained inactive.

When I try a wi - fi connection, which was working still, so I'm safe on this part...

But I really need to use my Ethernet card on the Thunderbolt ports.

However, in the reporting system, the crush of material it lists as "connected".

    What I tried to solve:

    the Library/Preferences/SystemConfigurations/NetworkInterfaces.plist

and list of preferences have been both removed... then restarted.

I rechecked all wiring problem, or nothing to do with my router home... I'm 100% sure that this is not a problem, I even changed the ethernet cable to be absolutely sure that this is not a wiring problem.

My home router ethernet port turns on and it is connected on Level2 for sure.

Remove all interfaces in network places preferences and their reconstruction did not help either.

Despite this, I was desperate to re - install Little Snitch to see if I could find no idea he solve the problem... but that did not help either.

I'm still stuck with two Thunderbolt ports that remain inactive, if anyone has any ideas?

  • HP Zbook 15 and Intel EPT

I am looking to buy a laptop capable of 32 GB of RAM. The only HP portfolio is the Zbook line as far as I can see. The only reason for this requirement is that I want to build a portable laboratory to run the virtual environment nested.

Now for my question: the Intel I7 CPU, I want in the laptop has the peculiarity of Extended Page Table (EPT) required to operate these VMs nested, but I know from experience that some providers (like dell) will not let you enable from BIOS.

I asked HP before sale but to my surprise THEY DON'T KNOW!

Someone out there with a Zbook or knowledge on this subject?

I was lucky enough to be able to lend a ZBook 15 and I can conclude that EFA is active when virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. I am running Windows 8.1-> VMWare Workstation-> ESXi-> Windows 2012R2

I must say that HP presale disappoints me. I know this isn't a typical question of everyday, but should not be excessively difficult to answer IMO. The e-mail to the pre-sale form is just a black hole; I tried this several times and not ONCE got a response.

  • Bought a new laptop today and I have a question.

Today, I bought a HP Envy DV7 - 7270CA C2H79UA, and on specifications, he said that the i7 processor can be turbo increased from 2.4 GHz to 3.4 GHz. My question is, how do I do exactly? Thank you very much.

And the HDMI port, is just an exit, or could it be used as an entry as well?

Turbo Boost is an automatic process of the application:

    HDMI is exit only.

  • Only use the Thunderbolt port in the virtual Windows machine

    Hello world!

I'm running a Macbook pro with a Win OSX 7 VM to work - we are currently on a split network when you access WWW on Wifi and undertaken by Ethernet through the thunderbolt connection.

When you plug the cable Thunderbolt in, it disables our Wifi (so that we can fill the Wifi and the access of the company)

Is it not possible to set up the computer so that the Thunderbolt port is only seen in the virtual machine (Windows) and OSX using the wifi only?

That would mean I could have two separate work stations, an OSX with WWW access and Windows with business access, which would be extremely useful?

I lived the preferences, but as soon as I disable the Thunderbolt OSX port it disables it on Windows as well!

    Any help gratefully received!

You can do all this, I do it all day long.

On the Mac, the "top" of your list interface is considered to be the main route of access and the host will forward the traffic it is there until he can't, and he then tries other interfaces.

So, just to pay for the order of Service so that your WiFi is at the top.

Then you can use the merger to specify the Thunderbolt interface to fill in.

This allows Windows to use the bolt of lightning, and the Mac continues to use the WiFi.

You an also save the config in a 'location', which are accessible from the Apple menu to quickly switch between configs. (i.e. specific vs)

  • primary and standby - port listening and listening DB port scan

    Hello

I have two node RAC (11.2.0.3) on Windows 2008R2 and this will serve as a primary database. We have defined scan port listener and listener of the DB in 1521. Now, let's put standby database in two node RAC on virtual machines. Waiting for the database, the two scan listening port and listening DB port should be the same (1521) as main or should we give another port number.

    Hello

Is it possible to change the IP address to SCAN listener or listener to DB.

Yes, it is possible to change IP address to scan and listener of the DB.

To scan all what you need to do is remove the resource from scan

    srvctl remove scan_listener

    srvctl remove scan

Once did make changes to the OS level (in the file DNS or hosts) according to what is used and add back scanning resources

    srvctl add scan n [k ] [ s /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]]

    srvctl add scan_listener [-l ] [-s] [Pei [TCP:][/ IPC:] [/ NMP:] [/ TCPS:] [/ SDP:]]

Or if you have a different set of intellectual property is configured, then you can do the following without remove and add the resources back

    srvctl change scan - n

    srvctl change scan_listener {u: Pei [TCP:][/ IPC:] [/ NMP:] [/ TCPS:] [/ SDP:]}

And you can also change the listener node as follows intellectual property details

    srvctl change applications {[n - one /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]] |} [-S /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]]} [u {public static | dhcp | mixed}] [-e ] [ -l ] [-r ] [-t [:][,[:]...]] [-v].

    srvctl change the listening port [-l ] [o ] [Pei "[TCP:][,...]"] [/ CIB :] [/ NMP :] [/ EPTC :] [/ SDP :] "] [-u ] [-k ]

I'll put the listener to SCAN and listening port of DB in 1521 in Physical standby database as well. Regarding the information you provided that this should also be acceptable. Please provide your opinion on that.

Yes, it is acceptable, you can proceed to the same

I hope that the above answers your question.

  • Difference between left and right usb ports 2015 15-inch model.

I recently bought a 2015 15 inch macbook pro with 2.5 GHz processor and 512 GB hard drive. IV used for only one month and I notice a difference between the left and right usbs. The base of the left usb IE the metal connector pins seem to be lower compared to the usb on the right side. Usb port on the left also seems to be a bit looser than the right, but hardly noticeable. IV barely used the usb ports and would like to know if it's the same for the other macbook pro users with the same model.

The game is a concern, and I would take the computer to Apple for review. After all, you are covered by the warranty.

My current MBP is that a 13 inch 2012 has only USB ports on the left side. My previous was a pre-Unibody 15 inches and I have not noticed differences in fit / release between the right and left USB ports.
