  • All-in-one Deskjet 2540: reset password WiFi live with security enabled

Good then everything was going well and everything until I one day decided to enable security of the printer and change direct wifi password. It was fine, because I instatly reconnected with the new password and never had to kick it manually again. then recently I accidentally forgot the wifi network and was invited for the password when you try to connect again. I don't remember. I tried everything:

    1. I have maintained the direct wireless button for 3 seconds until what it printed on the instruction sheet but no password was on it because of the security settings. To change it, I need access to SAP, which I can't because I can't connect to the network.

    2. I tried to reset the default network printer by pressing the wireless button and a button cancel for 5 seconds, it went through the motions and at the end of this, I tried step 1 again, still without password.

    3. I even printed the Network Configuration Page by pressing the black copy button and wireless at the same time hoping to find it somewhere a password... nothing.

I'm confused and I need it solved very quickly. any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Unfortunately no password yet. I have it connected to the router home as a last resort. Well, your security is really good, but I must add, factory reset should be an option in some way, it's unbearable.

Then I finally found the solution, I downloaded the desktop software, because I lost the CD. Connected the printer to the home network, after a couple of tries, launched the desktop software and clicked on the EWS option. Phew! Finally, I'm here and safe to say, I will never allow new security (not something you want to your customers say huh?) Can you blame me?

  • How to customize the password wireless live?

I have a Photosmart 7520 printer connected wireless to a hp Pavilion via. Verizon 4 G LTE Jetpack and a Linksys N900 USB adapter.  My printer has recognized and connected successfully to the Jetpack; Menu Direct wireless reads "On(With Security)".  A print to reading 'No' in the WPS column discovered networks.  I tried to customize my password and make it safe (if I need it, I don't know).  I printed the Page of Configuration of HP network, located my URL (s) for the built-in Web server, but when I typed in my web browser I had no connection made.  For example, I entered with no. http//:192.168.1.101. in the end, no .com, www., I can't understand it.  Is it OK like this as 'On(With Security)' or do I need other security measures?  How I use a MI-Fi is different router ethernet connected as far as the above is concerned?  I'd appreciate any effort of someone to help me to better understand and address this problem.  Thank you.

The password wireless live, I wouldn't worry too much.  Together wireless makes live is to act as an ad-hoc connection that turns off itself and can connect to multiple devices at once.  It makes the printer spread it's own separate network.  If someone connects to this network, the worst they could do is print on your printer.  With the help of a MiFi HotSpot can cause problems in a good wireless environment.  They function as a cell phone, so they are connected permanently and reconnection to different cell towers that tower sends the signal strongest at the time.  This can cause the DHCP HotSpot constantly reallocate IP different addresses to devices on the network.  This may cause the computer to be unable to see the printer.  I suggest you set a static IP address on the printer to prevent that to happen very offten.  The best solution is to use a standard router with a standard internet connection, but I understand that this is not always an option.

Step 6 in the present document will tell you how to set a static IP address: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02817031
When it askes for the DNS information, enter in Google DNS. Preferred DNS = DNS Alt = 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8

  • DeskJet 3520: Wifi password

I am trying to find my password for the wifi on my Deskjet 3520 printer.  I felt for a while and could not find records for the machine.  Is it possible to set up a new password if you do not have one, or is there a place on the printer I can find the wifi password?

The WiFi password is your network SSID password that is located in your router. You alone have the power to access your own router and check the wireless tab to see your password SSID the printer needs.

  • El Capitan forget password WiFi

I own a MacBook Pro 13 "retina early 2015 3.1 GHz i7 16 GB RAM running El Capitan 10.11.5 (currently the latest version).

The problem is that whenever I re - attach a known WiFi system forgets the password and asks me to re - enter manually.

Here is a more intriguing symptom: the issue is not with * every * known network. Just with those that I joined after initially, I transferred my data on this laptop from my Mac earlier, a MacBook Air mid-2012 Mavericks running. Those that were already stored on my previous mac work seamlessly.

"Networks do not forget that this computer has joined" are checked, and I can verify that the new networks are indeed remembered. Passwords are not well.

I tried a few non-destructive solutions, I found on these forums of discussion, such as checking the permissions of various files/Liberti/Preferences/SystemConfiguration .plist (all are root.wheel 644 and last modified dates of some files are right now, so I know that the system can write to these files) and delete and reset some of the stored WiFi networks. But no solution has worked so far. I'm not ready to delete the completely SystemConfiguration folder and the system of re - create from scratch, because my "WiFi" database now includes more than 100 WiFis that I use from time to time, so I don't want to go to the hassle of re - initialize them all again. I am willing to reset the PRAM or re-install the operating system.

I've read dozens of similar complaints, but none match my specific situation. I suspect a file that somewhere may have incorrect permissions, with these permissions are poorly defined by the migration program, but it's just a theory.

Finally, I used so far each MacOSX version and El Capitan is the first one who behaves in this way.

    By/Liberti/Preferences/SystemConfiguration, I meant/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration (automatic correctors, ha!)

  • Apple TV keeps forgetting password wifi

    Hi all

I bought a 4th gen Apple TV for my living room, and I it was perfect, no problem. I got another one for another room and I had no end of trouble with it.

It is closer to the router as my other ATV but it keeps down the wifi connection and sometimes it comes randomly "forgets" the wifi password, and I have to enter it again. On one occasion, he refused to accept the password on the attempts of a lot, a lot, so I did a thorough cleaning and a reinstallation of TVOS. It was OK for a couple of uses but has now begun to drop out of school and forget the wifi connection.

When he's not working, it shows 5 bars on the signal strength and my iPad works perfectly on a full, sitting next to signal. It's very, very annoying.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

Implement the resolution of the basic problems and share the locations of those present of the ATV.  If the problem is a problem in the living room and lounge we work in the room of the problem, return the problem immediately for a replacement unit.  If the problem the appliance becomes very well in its new spot and ideal becomes a problem in the new spot, exclude from the ATV and focus on the network.

  • password WiFi rejected after 9.2 upgrade

I just updated my iPad iOS 9.2 and all of a sudden my wifi password is rejected as incorrect. It is certainly true, and several other devices work confirm that. I tried all the standard resets etc. and some quick fix ideas, I could find online but none have worked. Then I changed the password on the router and all my devices worked, including the iPad, problem solved. Now, 24 hours later, the iPad is once again rejected the new as incorrect password worked perfectly during this period. There is no need to change the new router password because I fear that the same thing will happen. Someone had this problem and fixed it? Thank you!

I can't believe that no one else has a problem with that.

Apple: what do you have to say about it. An iPad with no wifi is a useless bit of junk, useless.
