HPE - 410t unable to boot for win7

HPE - 410t running Windows 7

About a week ago, I was listening to music on iTunes while helping my daughter get ready for her NAP.  Without warning, the computer restarted and the window popped up with the option start options "fix."  I chose this option.  The 'Starting Windows' screen came and stayed for about 5 hours, before decide me that nothing really happening.  I pressed the power button and it stopped.  I turned the computer back and got an error message:

Windows could not start.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.  To solve the problem:

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.

2. choose your language settings, and then click "next".

3. click on "Repair your computer."

If you do not have the disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Status: 0xc000000e

Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible.

I tried to start the recovery option of the system on the partition recovery using F11.  The computer displays "loading windows files" then proceeds to a "starting windows" screen where it remains indefinitely (I have enabled him to spend 12 hours on this screen).  I did a win machine windows recovery disc 7 to a friend, who has the same result as the f11.  I don't have an installation disc, because HP does not understand.

Any thoughts?  I ran the diagnostics and everything tested ok, so I don't think it's a matter, even if her children of seems that way.  I also used my Hiren's bootCD to begin his Mini Win XP, and I can access all parts of my hard drive in this way, too, which seems to indicate that the HARD disk itself is correct.  It is maybe a problem of record start or something. I would like to run fixmbr and fixboot, but I did find a way to get to a c prompt.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

According to specifications, the HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 410 t CTO desktop PC is about 3 years old. Hard drives are more prone to failures now than in the past. About a year or two is that all the much more recent hard drive will last. Anything in three years and you're really lucky.

For more information regarding the location of the 'SMART Support' in the BIOS option to test the hard drive, see for the Iona motherboard BIOS settings . These tests will be progressively longer;

(1) verification of the SMART State
(2) SMART short self-test
(3) Extended SMART self test (this test can take more than an hour)

You can also download a 'Linux Live CD' or diagnostic software the manufacturer of hard disk bootable CD to test the drive. This should confirm if the drive is bad.

Please see "How to install Windows 7 without the disc" Download Windows 7 SP1, create the Windows installation media and install Windows. You can also use this disc to 'fix' an installation of Windows 7. If you are unsuccessful repair or installation of Windows 7 using this disk, your hard drive is likely bad.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Is there a certain combination of settings that must be disabled in the bios to get the win7 Installer right or I'm screwed?

    Thanks for any help

    What an adventure!

As you discovered, you must completely format the drive as one or the other (GPT or MBR).  You cannot format a GPT partition and the other in the MBR.

I wonder if you had back and disabled the legacy mode, if W7 would let you install on the GPT - or partition if the disabling legacy mode would also have permitted secure boot.

In any case, it's water under the bridge.

  • Satellite P100-347: blue screen at startup - unable to boot volume

Recently, I left my 2 younger brothers playing NFS Carbon on my satellite P100-347, pre-installed with media center edition 2005, and now it fails to start.

During the process of possibly starting a blue screen appears for about a second and then it shutsdown (I managed to make the words "unable to boot volume" on the basis of the blue screen).

I tried to boot with a XP media center DVD but it gives me only a possibility of reinstalling the operating system with a cost of losing all my important data. Normally I would have picked up the system, but I don't want to lose my data.

Can I do other than take it to a technician?

    Hello

Well, for the most part the BSOD appears due to hardware problem or serious software.
In your case, the software problem is possible

Unfortunately, I think that the new installation of the OS is the best way to get the laptop works properly.
Now, you want to know how to record data and the files well, I think that you should remove the laptop HARD drive and must try to connect the 2.5 HDD via external USB controller to another computer. Then you can save the files to the other HARD disk

I think, now, you know that regular backups are important and necessary!

    Give these a try...

First, you must install the AMD chipset driver and restart.

You want the first file on the Web page.

Graphic design is the fun part.  You can first try running AMD beta driver to the latest version from the link below and maybe it will install the drivers if no, then let me know and I'll give you another method to install it using this driver.

  • HP ProBook 4520 s - dual boot between Win7 64 bit and Ubuntu 10

    Hello

I just got my new HP ProBook 4520 s a few days ago and:

    (1) there were 32 bit Windows7 professional pre-installed / pre-loaded

    (2) it comes with the TWO 32-bit and 64-bit Windows7 professional DVD HP (I guess versions OEM HP)

    (3) the HD have 4 partitions in the following order

    score A 3 a) named SYSTEM

3 (b) the parition where Win7 is installed

    (3 c) HP_RECOVERY partition

    partition HP_TOOLS 3D)

I did a lot of dual-boot in the past years, but my question is really related to maintain the HP diagnostic tools that arise before even that any operating system is loaded... and diagnostic tools are those of the HP_TOOLS partition. For example, when I ran some diagnostic tests, after completing the tests and the boot of Win7, I see in the HP_TOOLS partition, in one of its directories, a .log file recently updated with the results of diagnostic tests. I want to assure you that I can still run powered on the laptop even after dual-boot diagnostic tools.

Now, since I have the DVD 32 - bit and 64 - bit, I decided I want to dual-boot between Linux and 64 bit Windows7 professional. So here's what I've done so far:

    (A) has reduced the volume of Win7 Windows computer management disk management

    (B) install Win7 64 bit on top of the existing 32-bit Win7 partition, format this partition during the installation. So no more HP utility and on the installation of 64-bit programs.

So now I have Win7 64 bit installed and professional pre-activated since it's the same notebook. Then, I realized that I really need to delete the HP_RECOVERY partition since you can have up to 4 primary partitions. So by deleting the HP_RECOVERY partition, I will be left with 3 primary partition, then I can create an extended partition to contain other partitions for Ubuntu, etc...

But before I delete the HP_RECOVERY partition, I want to know:

*) When starting, before even that any operating system is loaded, HP you shows options like "Diagnostics" and "recovery". How is the computer HP laptop knows that diagnoses are in the HP_TOOLS partition? How the laptop HP ProBook 4520 s knows that recovery is in the HP_RECOVERY partition?

*) Since I have the DVD of Win7 HP (32-bit and 64-bit), I don't really have the HP_RECOVERY partition. If I delete the partition, what will happen to this start screen which gives you the possibility of "recovery"? Of course the recovery option won "t work and I don't like, but will remove the partition HP_RECOVERY won't let me boot into Win7, or any OS besides? for example it does not validate there HP_RECOVERY partition to a place before loading Win7?

*) Then, I want to install Ubuntu, and preferably Ubuntu (or Grub also) overwrites the MBR. I prefer Grub on EasyBCD. I can easily change the configuration of grub so I can dual-boot with Windows7... But again, my question is, where does HP maintains information about diagnostic tools that they are in the HP_TOOLS partition, like the option of the diagnostic tool loading via BIOS before even any OS is loaded. Is that information in the MBR, or is it in the partition named SYSTEM?

Summary of the questions are therefore:

    (1) where HP keeps its information that diagnostic tools are in the HP_TOOLS partition? It is in the MBR, or the SYSTEM partition, or is it stored in the BIOS hard coded to load more precisely from the location of the partition? I want to keep the ability to run Diagnostics even after you have a dual-boot installation with grub in the MBR.

    (2) deleting the HP_RECOVERY partition will prevent the workbook from loading correctly before moving to Win7, Ubuntu or any other OS?

Just find the answer to my original question:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01564727/c01564727.PDF?JumpID=reg_R1002_USEN

He uses the EFI interface and seeks a partition named HP_TOOLS, which means overwrite the MBR will not affect the operation of the HP diagnostic tools.

I have a linux operating system and I would like to remove it and install windows xp. I'm afraid that if I wipe the drive, I'll be unable to boot the windows xp disc. Is this true? What is the best way to remove the linux operating system and install windows xp?

original title: HOW I CAN UNINSTALL LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM

If there is absolutely nothing on the disk you want, just format the drive and install Windows XP:

    1. start from the CD. You may need to change the first boot to a CD device in the BIOS. To do this, when you switch on the look for a configuration message indicating what key to start typing, F2 and del are commonly used. The message appears for very long and it you miss, you have to restart the computer. In the BIOS, look for a section that contains the boot sequence, change it to CD, save it and let the computer to restart.

    2. the installation sequence is answering the message press any key to boot from the CD, and then press ENTER to set up Windows, press F8 to accept the EULA, delete the partition, press ENTER, type L to confirm delete, type C to create a partition, choose (Quick) format. Then begins the installation and restart will therefore ignore the subsequent message to press any key to boot from the CD-ROM.

    3. actual installation will begin and takes about 30 minutes. Finally, download all the missing Windows service packs and other updates.

Symptoms: Booted computer, loaded the raid drivers and showed at the start screen XP for half a second then to BSOD with a Stop error Code 0x0000007E - see also a lot of users (0xC0000001D, 0 x-, etc.) as well.

    Solution:

1 boot from your Windows XP CD and start the recovery console. You may need to press F6 while RC loads in order to load the SATA drivers. you will have a prompt c:\WINDOWS to the console.

    2. type: CD $NtUninstallKB977165$ \spuninst (it's the update, I had to uninstall to get out of the boot loop, other updates can be uninstalled by changing the name of the directory to $NtUninstallKBCODE$, where KBCODE is the code KB)

    3. type: BATCH spuninst.txt

    4. type: exit

Don't forget to configure your system to boot from the HD before resuming. I hope this helps. Saved me a lot of hassle today.

Windows recovery disc 32-bit error code meaning version question

    Hello
I hope someone can help me. I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means (thanks in advance)?

You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

    See you soon.

  • Upgrade - unable to boot (probably error classpnp.sys) RAM

    Hi all

I have an acer aspire 5742G with windows 7 Home premium Edition and 3 GB of RAM.

I bought a Corsair Valueselect 2 x 4 GB RAM together. When I replaced the original/3 GB with the corsair, I was unable to boot windows.

    Problem mentioned here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1888966/windows-boot-memory-upgrade.html

Basically, I get an infinite loop of "unable to start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the reason for this... »

    1 start windows normally

    2 start windows in recovery

These two options are responsible and we're back to the same loop.

After trying to boot into SafeMode (via F8), I could see the start-up hung at classpnp.sys

I put the original RAM dos and windows started without any problems.

Googling has revealed that this problem was already previously, but no solution has been put forward except: put the old memory.

I've updated BIO to the latest version, BIOS recognizes the 8 GB (in original and updated updated version).

Any ideas / suggestions are welcome.

    Kind regards

    Update and closing:

I went to the shop of pc and we tried the RAM from another manufacturer, ICUDU (2 x 4 GB 1333) and the pc started without any problems. I'm surprised that the manufacturer of the RAM has this impact it could work or not.

I hope that this problem is not encountered by others, it was quite an experience.

However, my conclusions are added below. As I mentioned in the first post, the problem has been experienced before and the 'solution' was a status quo, do not level. This experience taught me that not all RAM is created also. Even the best-known brands may be sometimes inconsistent.

    Summary:

Upgrade of RAM 8 GB on an Acer aspire 5742G with i3 - 370 M processor:

Upgrade memory ICUDU (2x4gb) Kit works,

ValueRAM Corsair (2x4gb) - sorry to say - did not work.

    Kind regards

The UEFI boot sequence does not take too kindly to optical drives. It is best to make a USB bootable using Rufus:

    Hello:

For the dc7600, the best thing to do is to go to the realtek website and download and install the latest driver for the audio.

Accept the agreement. Download and install the driver either the 1st or the 2nd on the list depending on whether you have installed W7 32-bit or 64-bit.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 24 & PFid = 24 & Level = 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

I have a dc7800 CMT and I used the audio driver from the support page and driver and it worked perfectly for me, so I can't help you there.

I used the one on the link below.
