    For the last two months that I had trouble setting things in general, for example MS doc viewer for free and VS2010 c# Express.

I double-click on the executable installer, that it goes right up to 100% on the preparation and when it gets to the point when it should start the installation itself that the computer just hangs and installation does not.

    I'm almost certain that this is not a virus I have an up-to-date antivirus and run a scan complete of all the two days. He has never had any problems there.

  • Thinapped Adobe Reader pdf to open in a local installation of Internet Explorer

    We have a document management system that runs through IE that is installed on the local computer.

    I need to be able to view a PDF file in the Internet Explorer page, at the time where ever he wants to open the file. Who doesn't like I thinreg Adobe Reader and everything works fine. What I can't do is to get the local IE to see the ThinApped drive.

    It works if I run IE to folder Bin of Adobe Reader. I don't know how to make them talk, I guess that its to do with the Applink command but don't know what I should be entered. I have seen a lot of questions like this, but don't do not get responses to work. If someone could make a guide of mannequins on how to get this to work, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

    Applink does not work when you use Adobe Reader with virtualized local IE. It only works when you use two virtualized Applications.

    So, in order to view PDF files in Internet Explorer using virtualized Adobe Reader, you will need to use IE virtualized. Please let me know if you

  • Cannot run PDFs with Adobe Acrobat reader.

    Sometimes when I try to download a PDF file I get a mssg: 'there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/reader. If he is out running and try again. (6:6). I have XP and my programs are listed as: Adobe Air, Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 (with no listed file size), Adobe Reader X (10 1.1) and Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6. What could be the problem?

    Very often, problems with Adobe Reader can be cured by uninstalling and reinstalling.

    Use Control Panel > add or remove programs.

    • Uninstall Adobe Reader X and Adobe Air (do not uninstall Flash Player Active X or Shockwave Player).
    • Double check to make sure that there are no other versions of Adobe Reader.  If there are, uninstall them.

    Restart the computer in a "clean boot" mode as follows:

    Open the System Configuration utility (start > run > msconfig > OK)

    1. In the System Configuration utility dialog box, click the general tab, and then click Selective startup.
    2. Click to uncheck the Process SYSTEM. INI file check.

  • How to automate so that pdf is always open in Adobe Reader ms in Windows 10

    Hello

    I need your expertise to solve the problem that I am facing currently. In this discussion, I'll write you what my needs are, how I use it and what problems are to come.

    My requirement-> In my organization, my client has a specific requirement that after they installed "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC", any pdf file should be opened in Adobe Reader DC editor only. For Windows 7, there is no problem. We have Adobe Reader DC scripted to open all PDFs in MS only, but for Windows 10, these mechanism were not working. In Windows 10, all pdf files open in Microsoft Edge by default. Now the user may have the ability to change default pdf file association (Control Panel-> set default Program Association) so that it will only open in Adobe Reader MS, but we are not allowed to think about this scenario because as a guy Packer SCCM deployment and Application, I need to automate everything. So, the scenario will be after you have installed Adobe Reader DC, opens in DC only.

    Best regards - I downloaded Adobe Customization Wizard 11 and from there also, I chose to make the default player. In WIndows 7, it works fine but the problem is in Windows 10.

    How do I use--> I have studied and found that in the registry location - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf. If you delete it. PDF key, so for that particular user, the Microsoft association Edge breaks and after that, you enter this value

    AcroExch.Document.DC = 0 (DWORD) under 'HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf\OpenWithProgids' will solve the problem.

    But the question was to come because, under this key .pdf, there is a registry subkey under the name of "UserChoice" which cannot be changed by default. Yes, it sounds strange, but it is true that although user still HKCU don't have permission to change the key "UserChoice". And that's why, I'm not able to delete the entire registry key '.pdf '.

    But when I checked manually unless give you permission for this key ".pdf" and grant all permissions for the group "Domain users" and go to advanced and check the box 'Replace all entries authorization child object with entries permissions inheritable this object', then you will be able to remove all of the key ".pdf". I checked this manually and it works and it also so open any pdf in the DC Editor. And this is the reason why I use the SetACL.exe file.

    How do I use file-> SetACL.exe I created an empty file msi (Windows Installer) and I called this SetACL.exe in the Active configuration. I created a custom action with condition "NOT DELETE" so that this custom action will run for each user for the first time.

    The vbscript code that I wrote inside the Custom Action is.

    Set WshShell = CreateObject ("WScript.Shell")

    Set fso = CreateObject ("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

    SourceDir = Left (wscript. ScriptFullName, Instrrev (wscript. ScriptFullName, '-'))

    Path=WshShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%ALLUSERSPROFILE%") "

    path = path & "\DC\SetACL32.exe".

    If fso. FileExists (path) then

    CmdLine1 = path, Chr (34) & Chr (34) & "-on" & Chr (34) & "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf" & Chr (34) & "- ot reg - actn ace - ace" & Chr (34) & "n: Users; p:full"& Chr (34) &" setprot - actn-op "& Chr (34) &"dacl:np"& Chr (34) & ' - clear actn - clr" & Chr (34) & "dacl" & Chr (34) & "rstchldrn - rst - actn" & Chr (34) & "dacl" & Chr (34)

    WshShell.Run cmdline1, 0, True

    CmdLine2 = "reg delete" & Chr (34) & "/" f "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf\UserChoice" & Chr (34)

    cmdline3 = "reg delete" & Chr (34) & "/" f "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf\OpenWithProgids" & Chr (34)

    cmdline4 = "reg delete" & Chr (34) & "/" f "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf\OpenWithList" & Chr (34)

    cmdline5 = "reg delete" & Chr (34) & "/" f "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf" & Chr (34)

    WshShell.Run cmdline2, 0, True

    WshShell.Run cmdline3, 0, True

    WshShell.Run cmdline4, 0, True

    WshShell.Run cmdline5, 0, True

    End If

    Now manually this script works fine but when I use it through MSI, it doesn't quite work.

    Please help me. Y at - it another way to automate so that the PDF file opens in Adobe Reader ms.

    Kind regards

    Yacoub

    Pune, India

    The problem is now resolved. The script is now maintained in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder and it works. The authorization applies successfully and also deleted .pdf registry key.

  • PDF file generated from Reporting SERVICES hangs when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "optimized for fast web view."

    Large pdf (over 1000 pages) generated files form SSRS crashes when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "Optimized for fast web view" activated. This saves fine with disabling this option. However, our customers are not ready to accept this solution because they do not want to change any settings. Please suggest if we should create a ticket with microsoft for SSRS allow the generation of pdf quick display of Web pages or is it an option in Adobe to fix this problem without changing the settings.

    The SSRS file has Fast Web View: 'No' and that's how Microsoft SSRS generates these files.

    Thank you for the complete maxwyss response

    As you have indicated, the PDF SSRS seems to have some elements that are quite similar to be supported for fast web view.

    We asked customers to disable the fast web view, but the customer is big enough to make a change individually on their machines and so were looking for a solution.

    I saw in several forums and a few discussions here as well as disable the fast web view option works for pdf fails.

    Which was just wondering if its known that multiple PDFs genarted by third parties may have problems with the optimization, the Save as optimized for fast web view could be disabled by default installation of acrobat reader rather than be enabled by default

    Thanks again for the reply!
