  As far as I know the laptop must be equipped with a Blue-ray player and the player must manage the disc BD, BD - R SL, DL, BD - RE SL, DL, BD - ROM.

  I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade existing at a larger size HARD drive or just a large and an SSD.

  Question 1: what is the size for the two new HARD drives because the power supply is limited?
  Question2: For now, I run the two HARD a disc, so no RAID. Is it possible that I can determine what is on which drive? I do not envy the dumping everything on a drive connected and then import the new HARD disk.
  Question3: Is there a substantial improvement in speed when using the SSD as a HARD drive? I run W7 professional and compared to Mint example startup is pathetically slow.

  Qosmio G30 already supports SATA interface and so general, interface SATA has no capacity limit. If you can install a SATA 2.5 HARD drive with all the sizes. Ore of 500 GB drives is no problem on SATA interface so it s on applications and data based on what size you want / need.

  If your laptop is capable of managing 2 hard/SSD drives, you can buy an SSD 128GB for example for Windows and your applications and a HDD (500 GB) for your data.

  Disc SSD is faster than hard drives, but they are more expensive. SSD are perfect for the OS itself and programs but for data such as photos, music, etc. Hard drives are fast enough.

  This package requires the installed Blu - ray TOSHIBA disk drive software.
  TOSHIBA Blu - ray disc player software is installed on your system?

  The exe file is to be found in:
  TOSHIBA\TOSHIBA Blu - ray Disc Player\SMIPlayer.exe

  If its not available or if the version does not match, the installation of the patch fails.

  -The update for TOSHIBA 1.01.299 Blu - Ray player is only a patch. It was installed on the original version. TOSHIBA help line told me to recover all of your PC (F8 during start-up, it may have installed a mirror of the original installation disc).

  -Reason why BluRay Player 1.01.299 was not working seems a bug in the drive. I had a disc BluRay who worked with the old version, but not for the new. But if the BluRay disc is loaded and the 3D mode is disabled, then the disc works. Event 3D works if it is activated in the main menu of the disc. But if you try to access the main menu in 3D mode, nothing happens.

  -There's now after updating NVIDIA has also installed a NVIDIA 3D Vision Photo Viewer to display the 3D to JPS and FTU format. It works very well.

  Beyond the problems at the beginning, now I am very satisfied with Notepad.

  And am frustrated because I couldn't see it "with depth' - that is why I bought this PC.

  Here's what to do to get it showing in stereo:

  Calibrate the screen by using the Windows Start, "All programs" button, 'SuperD Software', "X-tune", "X-tune".

  None of the external screens are active (use Win + P)

  Press ESC to get to the control panel.
  Click on display, "full screen" and "Side" next.
  Click on "Play Demo".

  I get the same image in halves left and right of my screen.
  Now comes the bit I battle (d) with: using your fingers right in front, press on the
  "3D" button above the keyboard (2 rows above the 'BACKSPACE' key).

  SuperD Face Tracking should start automatically and the blue light next to the webcam
  lights. (May take a few seconds.)
  Unfortunately, the polynomial has lost focus and is reduced to the minimum.

  Use Alt - Tab to return to polynomial. It should appear full-screen mode.
  If you have still 2 similar views side by side, prod again key 3D. Wait a few seconds.

  (1) open the video file compatible 3D matching with the Toshiba Blu - ray disc drive and click on the button "Configuration".

  (2) use the arrow button and scroll to the item of menu "3D approach". Click on this menu item, select on the right side "3D Media" and choose (Please check what kind of format is your 3D content) setting appropriate ("Side - by - Side (LR)", 'Side - by - Side (RL)', "interlaced (LR)" and "interlaced (RL)"

  You have any records? or a USB recovery?

  If you cannot install an OS on your SSHD your SSHD can be defective, because it is reading it is cluster/bad sectors. A defective HDD/SSD/SSHD can still be detected (sometimes even when it is defective).

  To be sure contact Lenovo Support Center and ask them to send you your SSHD/unit in a get fully tested Lenovo the SSHD repair depot - and have defective parts repaired within a reasonable time!

  For my QOSMIO F750-129, currenlty it works with native hard drive Hitachi HTS547575A9E384 (5400 RTM)

  I would change this hard drive for a faster:

  Seagate hybrid SSD Momentus XT ST750LX003 2,5 "SATA III 750GO (7200 RPM)
  or
  Hybrid of Seagate 1 TB portable computer SSHD ST1000LM014 (5400 RPM)

  Is it possible for you (power, temperature, SATA interface...)?

  In General, it is not easy to discuss the performance of the laptop. All of us use notebook with a specific setup and preinstalled applications that can run in the background and slowing down the reaction of notebooks.
