  Hello

  I've been looking for the company rules of newspapers in Hyperion Planning Version 11.1.2.1 unfortunately there is no specific newspaper indicating "which users ran the rules of management planning and how long run."

  I carefully checked the HBRServer.log, HBRClient.log, but these logs are not homologated for the information that I expect.

  Can you advise me if I have to pick up the newspapers in any place, please.

• Failed connection business rule

  I am trying to execute a business rule in the EA. However, when I connect Essbase and when I clcik the more in front of the business rule, it gives a message "connection failed rule Business."
  Also, when I go to HSS, I see the item called HP... tab business rule. So what could be the reason?

• How to generate an event log custom whenever a business rule is launched

  I searched on google, OTN and various blogs, nothing helps. That's what I want to do: I want to write a custom automatically log some business rule is launched each time. I want the paper to tell me:
  1. which user ran the newspaper
  2. what day and time the business rule has been run.
  3. what Dimension Member has been used as a setting
  
  I just need some general advice on how I would go all this.

  I just checked hbrlaunch.log - he has everything:
  * Date/time began
  * Name of the application
  Plan of Type name
  * Name HBR
  * Username HBR
  * Username Essbase (who always seems to be the name of the user who owns the soft of planning - hypadmin or something similar to that)
  * Values for rtp and they then lists the dimension and the value

  This assumes, of course, Hyperion Business Rules, but that's what the OP said he used.

• Restore one or more business rules

  Help! I accidentally deleted 2 rules of production management. How can I restore them? I'm (still) on planning 3.5.1. We have backups of all our production databases. Should I go TO restore the db application, and I'll be able to recover this way business rules? Or should I go to restore the HBR database? EEK!

  You will need to restore the database to the HBR.

• Error of the Hyperion select business rule planning task list

  Hi all

  I created an application of planning (11.1.2.3) with two planning types. I have lists of tasks for each of them.

  The problem occurs when I assign to a task, a business rule and this business rule belongs to the second type of plan, the selection list appears empty and when I go back and select the type of plan fist again, empty the list of continuous selection.

  Is there a bug in the planning (I guess)? Is there no work around for this problem?

  To-do lists are not specific to the Type of Plan.

  You assign objects to tasks, and they can be from anywhere in the same application.

  When you say the selection list what are you referring?  A command prompt that you have in your rule? Or when you try to assign your rule to the task?

  I've implemented on 11.1.2.3 without any problem.

  Have you done that you have deployed your calc rule manager?

• Prevent the business rule to run simultaneously

  Hi all

  We are on Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3.500. One of our business rules makes the system completely meaningless with its results when some users are running at the same time. A person must have been necessary a HBR not to run when it is already running. I need your suggestions to avoid the business rule to run simultaneously.

  • tell users check the console to work first, before you run the rule.

  • have a member of the system in your dimension that you can use as a flag. You set it to 1 as the beginning of the rule to indicate he runs, 0 / #Missing at the end of the rule to indicate is finished. You then add a @RETURN to leave the calculation if this flag is set to 1 in your rule. Just be careful about this because if for any reason the calculation fails, or is killed by an admin then your flag is set to 1, but you can still have a form of admin to reset these flags easily if necessary.

  I need to write a business rule to calculate the difference of version 1 and version 2 and copy this difference to version 3 for all data at the level of zero for all the periods of a year, including the opening balance. Can someone help me

  You could have elaborated more on your version of Hyperion, you're on and and what are your basic needs. (is this a a time point, it is something that must be considered at all times).

  A very simple approach (without having to deal with a business rule) be fair would create a member of the dynamic version with an e.g (@VAR (VERSIOn1, Version2)) formula member. Again only once, you know the design of your application, as well as the details around your needs so you should test to see if the option is possible.

  Others on the Board of Directors will give more information on approaches using some business rule approaches (e.g. VERSIOn3 = Version1 and Version2 ;) who would be most effective.

  I hope that the option has been useful for you and let us know how make you out.

• Ranging from the form of a business rule is incorrect.

  Say we have 2 forms of planning F1 and F2 with 2 B1, B2 business rules. B1 is set to F1 and B2 is set at F2.

  We open form F1 and open B1, and then open the form F2 and run B2, we observe that instead of B2 B1 is running.

  This strange phenomenon occurs in all forms with their related business rules.

  Note: Is not a specific user or a specific browser.

  The business removed from the calculation Manager rule is not available in the calculation Manager but still available in the list of planning application business rules.

  Any suggestion is appreciated to get it removed the application too.

  Note: EPMA, to deploy the application, but not safe for the classic.

  Are you sure you have deployed all the rules again Calc Manager planning then the rule is removed from the planning to remove from the Manager of Calc won't be enough.

• 11.1.2.3.700 Calc manager - cannot open business rules in IE11 but can in Firefox

  Updated 11.1.2.3.500 to 700 for the IE11 support.

  I installed the following hotfixes:

  1 20675028 - SSP

  2 20612400 - workspace

  3 20643564 - hyperion Planning

  4 20929659 - architect EPM (foundation server)

  5 21292109 - Manager of calculation

  6 20768325 - statement and analytical framework

  7. 21240419 - ADF MLR

  I deleted the directory tmp and cache on servers managed and the Planning0 and calcmgr0

  (Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\CalcMgr0)

  History/cache deleted my Internet Explore.

  When I go to the calculation Manager and try to open any business rule of calculation Manager I receive the following informational message: "Please try to reload the component script again." When you click on 'OK' I do not see any text in the business rule. (See attachment)

  
  I can run the business rules of the application of planning successfully and I can see them under "Shared Services" and import/export business rules.

  Calculation of the Manager process runs on the server, the logs show no errors in the Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics directory

  OK, I think I understand what is happening, I noticed a difference between the user interface in your screenshots and it seems that you disabled for calc Manager ADF.

  You will be able to confirm is that you run a report of registry and it will have a BINDOWS_ENABLED = true for the CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT property

  If I pass the ADF to bindows so I see the same problem, is there a reason you do not run ADF mode?

• Business rules that write to members as read-only?

  Hi all

  Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 user with a read access to the members were able to write the data using business rules.

  Now, let me know if this has been fixed in the newer version 11.1.2.3 or still they exist.

  Not is still not corrected in 11.1.2.3 as well. And I don't think it will be close in early releases as Essbase must resolve individual access permissions which runs the rule and which would add something to the current schedule of enforcement of the rule.

  Incase there are such better rule make you a folder separated with restricted user access on them. As this is a very difficult task to check for the planning system to see what are the members in the BR has the user to access. I think that's the reason to launch access to the BRS because they are very sensitive which can make your app obsolete in terms of data.

  I get the following error when trying to run a Planning Business Rules of EPMA production environment. The same rules of business work without any problem in UAT which is exactly in line with the production.

• How to stop with force business rules

  I'm developing an application of classical planning using Hyperion 11.1.2.2
  Currently I develop business using EMP Workspace Manager of calculation rules, my business rule is still in a State of transformation even after two days. As a result of which I'm not able to update my database that I update, I get the following error:
  + com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: impossible to restructure. There are other active users on the database [%s] (1013101) + _
  
  Now I want to stop this business with force rule, could someone guide me how to do this.

  Click right Essbase Server > Edit > Sessions
  It is there and always in the latest versions.
