  Curious to know...

  I have a button and there properties of design for active state...

  The properties of Visual design Active state differ from those of the other States of the button (normal, rollover, down)

  Hyperlink from the button is an anchor on another page...

  The button remains on the two pages...

  When I publish/preview, the active state is not displayed after clicking

  I checked the box inside the Hyperlink dialog box to display the active States

  The button itself has no defined hyperlink style or set however.

  I need styles of hyperlink defined and applied to the key before the active State will show?

  Now that I emptied this widget, all anchors and active States act as intended. I should have checked that before giving them positive support on the site Add Ons... Yes. I go to them first for support and none was offered / condition. I received an email or two is to say that they could not help... Seems good test was abandoned by many.

• Wacky hyperlink style question!

  I have been looking for this one to death and can't find the answer. Very weird problem. Let me see if I can explain it simply and clearly, the solution is not the difficult.

  > Have a web page with five text boxes to this topic. There is in each text box, and there are two paragraph styles used, but no style character.

  > A line of text is a hyperlink to another of my website pages. CEC of five text boxes has a line (the first line in the text box) that goes to another web page.

  > I have a particular color scheme that I use for hyperlinks that point to another of my website pages. They are dark brown, then Brown clear when you move the pointer, blue dark, when you click to visit and blue sky when it is active. This color scheme has been applied to ALL styles of link implemented in this file of muse.

  -Here's the weird part. This web page has been a model that came with the link set up styles. The original link for this page styles using a different color scheme. I modified this style of special link to set up my color scheme. I've implemented all hyperlinks in these text boxes to have the correct link style and colors, etc.. They seem correct in design mode AND preview mode.

  - But when I saw the page in a browser, the text of the hyperlink back to the original link style color palette... ONLY for its normal state. It uses the right colors to hover, visited and active States. Don't forget there are has five text boxes all set up like this, but one of them has this problem. The others use the right color scheme that goes with the style of binding used.

  -C' is there it gets even weirder to me. This problem only occurs when I use a links to specific pages of a hyperlink for the text. I can apply one of the other links to that specific text, and style of the link colours are perfect in the browser preview. Then I move this text to the hyperlink, its supposed to be using, and the problem of the color appears.

  -Color of style like that a 'normal' relationship became permanently associated with the hyperlink to a specific page.

  -If I create a new text box, say 3 or 5 separate text lines and anything else that hyperlinks will apply to each line... all hyperlinks appear with OK... except fo color scheme associated with this specific link... He uses the blue state text normal, not brown like its supposed to

  • I've tried everything. I remove the text box and start with a new text box and all the new text. Then apply the paragraph styles and link to the hyperlink.
  • I tried this and jumped the style of paragraph and simply applied the hyperlink style.
  • And tried with just the style of link.
  • This file of muse was a model originally. So I deleted all the paragraph initially in this model and fresh styles. The problem happening on another page, so again styles of paragraph resolved other issues, except on this page.
  • I tried to delete the problematic text box, by copying the text boxes on the page which works perfectly. As soon as I move the hyperlink to one who belongs to this text box... bam goes the color normal blue back instead of the dark brown as its supposed to be.

  I learn the Muse that I'm here and his party extremely well. Great program and very easy to use. I studied him this constantly. Someone knows how to solve the mystery?

  It turns out that if you make the color of the visited links the same as normal link color in the model of the Muse, then you can't make the difference between real Normal link color and the color of visited links. This means that a person could the colours correctly configured in the properties of the site and in the file, and then preview in a web browser and not realize that the normal link color is correct... IF the link appears in preview mode before their browser as a visited link.

  So in your example up above, you have the normal and visited link colors exactly the same thing. Who would be able to get an overview of the web page and to know what link they watched? Not me.

  After three days of stress, I realize that I had set the color of the link visited to be identical to the original color model for normal links. In design mode, and preview of Muse, my colors were so everything is correct. But when I saw in a web browser, the normal colors would be the color of the visited link.  And... I didn't know it.

  This explains why the colors of link work properly in all situations except the preview of the web browser. Duh! Rookie mistake.

  This was the only problem I've had with Adobe Muse CC. This really works exceptionally well.

  Use findGrep() (or findText()) instead of changeText(). This returns an array of items found. Then, you can loop through the array and apply a paragraph style without erasing the replacements (the 2nd parameter must be false).

  Willam - you are absolutely right. After looking at the HTML view, somehow (I inherited a lot of this content to an earlier project), inline style has been applied to texts of hyperlink (only).

  I appreciate your suggestion of solution (if I need to regenerate my help quickly, this will be the way to do it). Otherwise, I can ask one of our maybe to programmers to write a script that will remove this topics 300 inline style or more who have hyperlinks in their!

• On a simple site with CSS copied from an older project, all my CSS styles seem to have disappeared! What gives?

  I copied a page index.html to an earlier project (before CC) and DW CC to change CSS styles. I put it up online. I get up this morning and if I look at the Local or remote versions, all CSS definition information seem to have disappeared. There seems to be NO CSS styles defined at all. Worse yet, the old styles CSS method of creation of new (or in this case, replacement) (Format: Styles CSS: new) has disappeared and I can't understand where this feature has been moved to. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

  I would suggest trying the following steps and check.
   
  r. to open display, click Start, click Control Panel and click appearance and themes, and then click view.

  b. you may use a personal photo as the background. All of your personal photos in my pictures are listed by name in the background list.

  c. you can save an image from a Web site as a background. Right-click on the image and then click on set as background. The image is listed in the background box as Internet Explorer background.

• Copy and paste links...-preserving formatting

  I have a report. At the top of each page, there are a series of links that point to other pages in the report. There are several sections of the report, and the links above vary for each section. Sometimes, these sections are short... and sometimes I need to add to the pages. When I add pages, I want to just copy and paste the links to existing pages in this section. But when I do that, the default value of the return to blue and underlined links. I don't want their blue and underlined. I want that they gray!   Select the text in the two cases and watch the applied character Style. My guess is that the gray text has the character of hyperlink style, and he was replaced manually to get gray and emphasis. When the text is copied and pasted, the Style is reasserting itself. Remove the gray text Style (or redefine Style to change so that it matches your formatting preferences).

Just as an experiment, I've changed the text to none in the character style (I use it styles throughout the site) and my hyperlink styles work properly.   Thanks for posting this Marcy. This problem is a bug known, that our team of engineers is connected.

  To work around the problem, you can select hyperlinks in your text, and remove the applied character style (i.e., change the style of character 'None').

  For anyone in the future who is trying to find the answer to this question, here's what to do:

  1. go in the Site Properties > content tab, click on 'new style of link' icon under the window.

  2 rename the style and adjust the properties of the hyperlink.

  3. on your page, create a hyperlink in the usual way, then click on the orange links next to the drop-down list of links adding field / filter to get the box to popup for hyperlinks. Go to the field called dropdrown link text Style and select your new style.

• Styles correctly implemented, other changes computer 13pt Arial, no replacement to clear

  Strange situation... I created a document using proper use of paragraph with CS4 styles and everything is perfect.  I sent the file to someone else for use and editing.  They are not too fluent with ID and they have some strange configurations, they don't yet understand, but for some reason any now when they create a new text box or paste in the new text and apply to ALL styles, it appears like Arial, 13pt instead of the Optima 11.5 pt.  All text using this style seems to stick out, his new no matter what text that he adds.  Normally for something like this, I click on the style and select "Clear /" but he don't think he has something to clear because there is no + next to the style name.  This applies to the text that was already there and correct and for the new text, he said that is incorrect... There is no + showing for style on either.  It doesn't have the appropriate fonts installed so I know its nothing to do with it.  When you view the properties for the style, he says Optima 11.5pt as it should.

  He was saved and sent back to me and I see what he was talking about now.  I still have my original file that works still fine and made it back to him to see if it still does it... waiting to hear back.  All I can think is that there some strange settings that do this.  Have already discovered a few others that we have already set.  Any thoughts?

  Sounds like a default character style.

• Paragraph exporting styles does not correctly

  The paragraph style seems well in the layout design in Muse, but once I have "Export as HTML" in a folder, or I saw the page within the Muse, he loses the style. This particular model is used throughout the site, but it happens randomly and not all pages are made.

  It seems that the paragraph on this sample page also has "Boxed text" applied. What is a paragraph style or a character style? If it is a character style, could temporarily remove you it (style of character set to None) and see if that fixes the problem?

  I've been using HR from 4.0 and am currently I have a RoboHelp HTML project where I use two different style sheets. Each stylesheet is associated with its own Master Page. I did it because my client wants to eventually migrate to a new look. The 'Normal' style in both cases is mapped to a different font. I have ensured that the style sheet is attached and that all the content is in the appropriate style. There is no problem with the style of the first leaf (and the Master Page) I created. The 'new look' of the Master Page and Style sheet have had problems of random display with the Normal style. occasions where the part of the subject shows or all of the content is not displayed. This is the case if I select to display the item selected from the project and see the section after the compilation of WebHelp.

  I created the new Master Pages and reallocated styles. A symptom that can help make the insight on to what is happening... is that when I change a theme with the 'new look' style sheet Master Page, and then click Save all, the message headers and footers will appear... This topic has been created a master page and the header and footer has changed... Master Pages have the same structure; just different fonts and styles of title. I tried as much as I know to solve this problem. Any ideas would be great. I can provide screenshots, if necessary. Thank you.

  Project has 2 sheets of different styles (because the customer wants to switch to a standard model). Each stylesheet is associated with a different Master Page.

  'Normal' style in the stylesheet #1 = Verdana; 'Normal' style in the stylesheet #2 is Calibri.

  When WebHelp is generated, any content using the worksheet and style #2 style with 'Normal' does not appear. This question is in the region of the body of the document. I created a separate style for 'Normal' called ' "Normaltest."» Without success.

  To make the content appear, here's what I did:

  1 open the topic question.

  2. highlight a paragraph

  3 Select Style: none

  4 replace font Calibri (font size was default to 12; which is what I had so I don't change)

  It made no difference if I defined "nil" in the Page Master and changed file the font Calibri. I have confirmed that the problem does not affect header/footer or number lists (only numbers). Contact me if you need the object files.

  True, but the background color does not really have an effect on the text view.

  I created a character style to set the color for text, color only.  When I apply it to a set of characters, it also changed the font face and size of 36 to 12.  Paragraph styles have the same problem.  If you want it to be 36 points, applying it replaces about half of the desired size.  This is a bug in CS6 (v13 & 13.0.6) and now in the current version 20141014.r.257 on Mac 64-bit both 10.9 and 10.10.

  

  

  

  Thanks, Gaetano, in your instructions, define you the font and size family.  I want my character style to work on any font family and size.  I discovered that the character styles work only as replacements on a paragraph with no other replacement style. Reviews for my average screenshot that I didn't put all information from the police. When you apply a character style to a block of characters having replacements, you get one more on the character style.  By clicking the first icon (arrow), removes all replacements and applies the style of character, which causes the font family and size change noted in my 3rd default screenshot.  Myriad Pro Regular 12pt seems to be the default font and therefore the police that you get when you remove all replacements in order to apply the character style.

  By creating multiple paragraph style and remove all replacements in the text for each, I've been able to apply the character with just the color style.

  In conclusion, character styles are working but cannot be applied to the text block that contains the default text or a style paragraph and no substitutions.
