hyperlink to the section in the second window
Hello everyoneI am trying to create a hyperlink from a topic displayed in the main window of a .chm to an item that appears in a second window of the. chm.
In the past, I created a link to a button to display a topic in a window named on the use of a related Topic.htm technique. I tried to use this technique by using the same Topic.htm related, but it doesn't seem to work.
There may be a simpler way to do this, but I do not know?
Any help gratefully received.
OK Rick, I could give it a try, but I won't hold my knowledge.
As for what makes subjects appear in a second set window, you instructions were up, thanks a lot. In fact, I had 3 links to topics that I wanted to appear in a second window. so leaving the first link as
JavaScript:RelatedTopics.Click();
then by replacing the second and third to
JavaScript:OBJECT1. Click(); and JavaScript:OBJECT2. Click();
and set the second window everything worked like I wanted.
Once again thank you very much, you're really RoboHelp gurus

LR 2.3 (x 64) slide show Impromptu only plays in the "second window".
LR 2.3 (x 64) on Vista x 64. Two LCDs - different resolutions ('Second window' = 1024 x 768 & "Main window" = 1920 x 1200).
I can't get the 'impromptu slide show' to play in the 'main' window - he only plays in the second "window".
I cannot encourage the slideshow to play in the main window?
I'm not in the land of Monitor 2 for the moment (pending the new main monitor), but there is an option in the slideshow appearing If 2 monitors are attached, which allows you to select the one that the slide show is running on. Impromptu slideshow settings are based on the most recent settings in slideshow, so this may solve your problem. As I said, I have no way to check here what told the Committee.

This was happening with FF 3 before moving on to 4 and not going on with FF4.0 until the 4.0.1 update has been applied, the first time, he ran. Same problem on another computer running FF3, so maybe a related problem of the extension.
If I have three windows open and close the third, I don't get it. Only when two are open and one is closed. I could have three, close one, then the second and get the prompt.

When I close FF the active window becomes #1 window when I restart. No matter that one becomes a window #2 the first pinned tab is missing and the '+' is on the far left. Same thing happens if the tabs are not pinned. If I close FF and cause a switch between W #1 and 2 W, W #2 loses this 1 tab and w #1 missing tab reappears.
Hello ppsffvt, it looks like an extension might be interfering here. Please, try to start firefox in safe mode once and see if the problem occurs here also.

First tab missing in the second window
I have a multiple tabs open in 2 browser windows. Whenever I left Firefox by choosing File - Exit so the tabs can be opened when Firefox is started.
It works fine on version 9. After the upgrade (since 10.0.1), the first tab in the 2nd window is missing. It can still be opened by selecting groups of tabs, but not visible on the tab bar. In addition, the "Open a new tab" button appear to the left of the tabs instead of the right, which lies between the missing tab and the rest of the tabs.
I have seen these problems myself.
In such a case new tabs I have open appear to the right of the button tab.
This looks like a bug to me.You can usually fix this by the closure of the (last) with Ctrl + W tab and the restoration of this tab via Ctrl + Shift + T

How to open the second window of Firefox, without closing that I am already using?
While I am already in the navigation of Firefox, I find that I need to open another window of Firefox, without closing one in that I am. There are already has several tabs open, simply close the Firefox entirely does not help, because at startup the Ff even once, I get the message ' Oops! We're sorry. Cannot restore all tabs. You want to start again? ». As I don't want to lose the information on the existing tabs - many of them are independent and cannot be grouped - I don't want to start again, lose all the previous information tab. Also there is no button "Restart Ff now", as in the case of adding a new add-on.
Now, please help me by offering a completely working solution to the above question.
A big thank you to all those who care to help me.

I regularly use 2 windows with multiple tabs of each and session restore would work to bring them all back, but after this last updated the second window restores correctly, with the first non-visible tab on top (only in the menu drop-down) and now the button add a tab on the left (instead of right). Add a button to the tab is not really as far as concerns the other than it indicates other problems with the tabs in the 2nd window. No no not the 1st tab visible is frustrating, because I can't move or also easily navigate. Also, the tabs on the top of the 2nd window which are visible is no longer have the 'x' to close visible, except when this tab is selected. I'm assuming that it is a problem with the new version/update, since this is the first time I encountered the problem, and I closed and restored Firefox several times to make sure it was a recurring problem and not a one-time problem. Any ideas on how to fix would be welcome (except maybe cramming my tabs on a window or it suck XD).
Thank you for your help. None of your suggested solutions worked, but having just updated to 10.0.2 seems to have solved the problem.

I'm working on a project for my birthday 125 universities. Essentially, I've created a long 125 digital book of the year, with a link to the actual digital Yearbook of the University for every year. I wonder if there is a way I can make all links open in the same second page directory.
IE: Main project is opened in a window, when I click on the hyperlink pdf 1939 Yearbook, the 1939pdf opens in the second window. Then I want to find a way to make after this, on the home page, I can click on the link of the pdf 1940 Yearbook and directory 1940 load on the second window, replacing the 1939pdf, instead of simply open the 1940pdf on a third new tab/window?
Note: I have all the PDF Online and downloaded directory, so I can make the hyperlink you send to the site, or do a thing of style download.
Thanks for any help and if anyone needs more info just ask me!

When you open a second window, in windows xp professional
When I open a second window in windows xp professional, if the arrow cursor moves out of this window, this window will hide behind the original window. It's very frustrating because I have to reduce the original window inorder to see the second window. I have restored the default settings in the internet options. I have another computer using windows xp professional, and this happens. any suggestions?
Some mouse or the product score drivers offer a "focus shift" that can move the active focus as your mouse/trackpad/trackball/etc moves. See Control Panel/mouse or in Control Panel for all icons added by mice, tablets, trackballs and so on.

Continious page numbering with a section in the page window
When you make a book the first page are the coverage, the second on the back of the cover and the third most likely the first page of the content (see image1)
When you want to start page numbering at page 3, you need to start an article on said page 3 page 1 and the numbering of the content properly begins on page 3.
BUT the numbering of the pages in the Pages window becomes: 1, 2, (yet) of 1, 2, 3,... (see image 2)
Is it possible to have a section begins on page 3 without renumbering in the window of the Page?
In the preferences, if you see the selected numbering section you will see the number assigned to the page. Change it to absolute numbering and you will see the absolute position in the document. I'd rather see the section numbering, myself, but I still have to change the format of the numbering in section of page 1 is what is obvious.

I start the second instance of the system tray icon which, in the past, has created a running instance independently allowing me to log on under a different name and keep a foot memory different impression. Is it still possible in FF 7?
Launch an instance, connect on my site.
Launch the second instance. Go to my site. FF behaves as if I'm already connected. It wasn't a problem following these same steps, in the previous version of FF (4, I think).
In Firefox, all tabs and the browser windows use the same cookies that will identify you on the server.
If you open a different account, then existing cookies are sent to the server and the server sees that you already registered (authenticated). You can watch this extension if you sign with different identities at the same time:

When I open a new window or click a link that opens a new window, the new window has two blue bars along the top of the screen. The top bar is the one that I expect to see with the firefox logo, the name of the Web looking at page and the reduce, enlarge, close buttons. The second bar, below, has a tab orange on the left side who says "Firefox" with an arrow pointing downwards and then on the right side has him minimize, maximize and close buttons. These buttons are the same buttons on the blue bar to the top do. Below the second blue bar is the normal toolbar, but the upstream and downstream buttons do not work. How can I get rid of the second blue bar. He began to appear after the last update I did last week.
This always happens if you launch Firefox with extensions disabled?
This page is a report of another user with the same problem, which says that the problem has disappeared after disable the extensions.

So I got allows you to right-click on a link and go the first option and open this link in a new window.
I don't not like tabs, or use them.
The latest update or version of Firefox has changed this and now
Open the link in a new tab first, then
Open the link in a new window.
My question is, how can I change this back to the way it was.
Thank you very much
TREVMy problem is the opposite of the OP, but the result is the same. Years of the use of previous versions of Firefox have conditioned me to open links in a new tab by selecting the second choice of right click menu without looking. After a week of trying to readjust in places reversed 'Open link in a new window' and "Open link in a new tab", I'm always unintentionally opening new windows instead of tabs every time after time. The point is, why should I have to adjust (or need a plugin external to solve your problem). YOU TEACHES ME HOW to DO THIS WAY, then why you changed it? Do you think that the reversal is most effective? A task force of new users select the new range? Do you have a taste of trial with Pepsi? Have you adopted Microsoft 'we know what you want better than you' policy? People in the drive of England on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right. Maybe it's actually a better way to do it. Maybe we should just rethink all cars new American model in this way and reverse all the signs from one day to the next without any warning - no ads, no choice, do it just because the engineers decided that it is better. While we're here, maybe you should adopt menu 'Ribbon' of MS then. I do sound a little angry or like if I have too much time on my hands? If so, it is because I am and I do not have enough to relearn the same tasks whenever you think of a better way to perform a basic operation. I'm sick of being 'improved' perfectly feasible programs to offers no improvement, only the need for a conversion.

View on the part of the seconds to the time stamp of the file "Update" in Windows Explorer.
I wish I could see the part seconds the timestamp of the file "Date Modified" when I'm in Windows Explorer and using the details view. I have Windows XP SP5 and have set up my file options to use Windows Classic view and my view is set to show the details.
Hello PM_01,
Unfortunately, when you view the date and time, in the Details view, you won't see the seconds remaining. However, you can use third party software that will give you this option as well as many other options. I hope this helps!
Thank you
