  • DV7 not recognize the second hard drive?

    Hello

I have a DV7 1240us equipped vista and recently tried to install a second hard drive. I ordered the same model number, the size and the brand as the main drive. Once I turned on after installing the player, the drivers installed automatically, but the player was not anywhere. The hard drive is a Hitachi HTS543232L9A300 brand new in the box. What I am doing wrong?

check Panel > administrative tools > computer management > disk management > storage >

for any disk UN allocated space listed in black color.

If so right click and format to create a partition, and then on the new hard disk space will be used

  • The Windows XP Task Manager does not display the names of process image

I am running Windows XP with SP3. Image of process names are not displayed in the Task Manager, and in the column picker image process name, although is TICKING, is grayed out. I don't have the PID numbers. So I can't say what processes are underway. There are 57 processes running, that seems to be too many.   I tried running "tasklist > tasklist.txt"from command, prompt but it just flashes and nothing happens. " Does that mean I have a Trojan horse? What can I do about it?

    BDF

That seems good enough for me - now, we know that your XP version and Service pack, System brand and model, BIOS version, the amount of RAM installed, the size of your paging file according to NEC, your system has SATA drives and a few other things.

47 process may be OK depending on what you have installed and running on your system.

Looking at my notes, I see that I thought a while back that the tasklist.exe program does not come with XP, but there's a copy on my SkyDrive for you to download.

    Here's how:

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called tasklist when the name of the file should really be called tasklist.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

Then, when you run tasklist > tasklist.txt, you should end up with a file tasklist.txt you can open it with a text editor.

Even if you think yous system may be achieved a malware, it has never hurts to run these free scans before troubleshooting:

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time) and remove all threats:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, and then fix any problems.

  • LR 4 will not identify the 2nd hard disk in the source during import?

I run 2 hard drives in my PC. A disc is only for programs. And the largest are for photos/music. When I go to import the source the left pane will not recognize the drive B:, C: drive only and he will recognize even my M: drive with is my outside. Im not sure what to do at this point to add the B: drive to the source. Thank you

It is sometimes useful if you put a "fictitious" picture on a disk via Win Explorer. So, try this first and see if your player appears.

    If this does not help:

Letter B is not a good choice for a player on a PC. It's because of the ol-old time when drive letters A and B were reserved for the disc x6.25 "(A) and the floppy disk drive (B).

That's why the first drive in PC today is always named c. (letter)

And, I don't know maybe that Lr does not recognize the drive letters A and B. So rename your drive B to the D drive.

Do this in the Windows Control Panel > system and security > administrative tools > computer Nortsk > disk management. In the lower window where it shows your drives, highlight the drive in question and then go > Action > all tasks > change drive letter and path.

For more information, open in your control panel and in the search box, type .

  • To replace the DVD drive with the second HARD disk on the pavilion DM4-2000

    Hello

I would like to remove my laptop DVD drive and replace it with an SSD. It seems that the DVD player does not use the standard format of pins SATA for hard drives, rather than use a slightly smaller connection. Is it possible to connect a laptop SATA drive this in any case and if so, how?

    Any help appreciated,

    Tim

You need a car adapter. Your laptop uses 12.7 mm optical readers and you need this card:

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-01/

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 45 for replacement instructions.

You place the additional hard drive inside the adapter, then swap the front to make look it good.

  • P6620: Installation of the second hard disk

How to install a second hard drive (4 t) of my HP P6620?  I opened the box and there is no extra cable for adding disks hard disks/CD.  Two slots used for cables are currently being used by the installed hard drive and a CD player.

    Hi @jdrabourn!

Since all SATA ports are used at the present time, you can go with a SATA multiplier in order to have more drive connected to your PC. Plug you it in to a single SATA port, but limited all disks to the SATA speed (for example 4 discs on a 6 GB/s aura port 1.5 Gb/s limit each). This is different from a RAID controller because controllers allow a potential speed on each disc while the multiplier limited all disks to the single port speed.

Regarding the cables, you will need additional in order to connect additional HARD drive.

Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

    See you soon!

  • Server does not display the flash swf/html files

I have a set of html/swf files that are "well positioned" exactly like a dozen other almost identical files that are served by a hosting site but this game shows an icon of upgrading Flash Player on Foxpro and a blank page on IE.  My client in Flash Player is the most recent and works very well for other files almost identical dozens.  Of course, views of Fla. initiating correctly with CS5.5 Flash itself.

I'm running out of ideas on what is causing the problem and how to fix it.  Any ideas please?

Thanks for your reply.  I solved the problem.  This file annoying one is not 'exactly '.  The field of the 'exit' publication settings file refers to a nonexistent record which was a remnant of a deleted folder.  Flash has done it's best to respond wisely.

  • Since the last update of Windows 10 build 10041 does not display the hidden taskbar that Firefox is well on the screen.

    Hello
As I already said. Firefox is the only program that prevents the taskbar hidden to come if the mouse falls down. It wasn't before and I use 10 Technical preview Windows as it is available. I always minimize Firefox if I need the taskbar.
    Thank you

    Hi sprit.
The default value is 32-bit version of Firefox, and I doubt that the 64-bit version is installed because of the confusion.

More information about the 64-bit version:

I really don't know much about whether they are testing on Windows 8.
