  I use InDesign CS6 to create a document with many links to URLS. I found that the conversion of INDD as PDF (Export to PDF) process is changing some special characters in the link, basically to break hyperlinks in the PDF file (for example, a symbol equation "=" AND the question mark symbol "?") BOTH converted to their html codes of character - 3D and % 3F, respectively - and the links are broken, "404 error".

  2. Right click > interactive > new hyperlink

  Just in case someone had the same problem, I've found a workaround.

  Using the links Panel, click on each link and manually change all characters who have converted characters html codes.

  Not a big problem but anemone said if there is an advantage to use a (button, "go to url") on the other (hypertext links), strictly speaking DPS?  The benefits of stability / reliability or anything like that?  I have been using a mixture of both, and I was wondering.

• unexpected problem with links to URLS in PDF files

  Hi all

  I have some PDF documents that contain some URLS which once hovered over or clicked behaves as expected. I need to put these PDFs through our control software upstream which checks and corrects things and writes a new file. When the new PDF is displayed there more active links. I can not change the software to control upstream, but I just want to understand what is happening. Links in PDF files are not created manually in any program created (for example, Indesign) but are just to make links by Acrobat/Reader (because the 'create links option URL' are lit)-if I turn this option off the links in the original PDF work stoppage. In my tests some links still work in the new PDF but others do not, but I do not see why some would not. In addition, links in the new PDF files that worked often did not the first time you open the PDF but would be the second time that they were opened (once the program has been revived). All this is just weird!

  The text in question is a selectable text in the PDF file (not converted to outlines or rasterised) and regularly works until the file is preflighted. But whether it is always selectable text in the new PDF why would not Acrobat/Reader displays links as usual. What could the preflight software may have which would spoil this process?

  Whenever I have to copy and paste from the web or Word it removes hyperlinks.  And when I try to do in 'Place' ing a Word document in my InDesign project that it retains formatting with it, the rectangles around the text.

  I have the latest version of InDesign.

  Copy-paste might not include the shaped. A regular import using square is the best way.

  The rectangles around the hyperlinks are just to indicate that they are links - they do not print, but they appear in your PDF.

  You can delete them by double clicking on the hyperlink in the hyperlinks Panel and select "Rectangle Invisible" as the type.

  In general, Word formatting of hyperlinks - blue text, underline - with a character Style. If you want to remove or change the formatting, all you have to do is to change the character style. My experience, however, is that you need to check all the hyperlinks because no reason apparent, sometimes they appear in the document without the character style.

  It is not possible to define an area to click on "display for the rest of the project." Instead, you need to insert a click on each of your slides box. However, you can easily do this by right clicking the copy of box and click Select. Then you select all remaining slides in your list of thumbnails on the left, or storyboard and paste the click box. It you'll stick to several slides at the same time, which is much faster.

  Just 28 days left of this trial, I have spent 3 hours trying to figure how to bind a page to anther. Its so easy with Msn Front page 03. (the expressions of msn web is only an upgrade of the cover page)
  I do something wrong, I have tried different ways but after that 3 hours trying different routes still not able to link a page to the other or a hypertext link to another web site.   I'm going to think the installation site site definition can be hurt or other things. I can be who rushed into that quickly, I will read adobe help guide and there is now a book on Dreamweaver CS3 2007. It certainly sounds good easy to use, and design web pages. The msn web design expression is just an update on the front page. Chances are when I solve the problem of connection that I will be buying Dreamweaver Cs3.

• Flash CS5 beginner - need help with Add URL link animated banner

  I apologize if this is a very basic question, but I am a newbie in Flash design. I created a basic animation in Flash CS5 and I need to add a clickable URL link. I tried a few tutorials that seemed promising, but none of them solved my problem. I tried a number of things, including the conversion to parts or all of the simple images buttons or movies and linking them this way as well as type in the code ActionScript 2 and 3, which none was successful. The animation plays correctly in my browser, but when I click it, the link does not work. I wish that the entire banner clickable to take viewers to the website linked instead to use the text of the hyperlink. Also, when I open the Code snippets window, it is empty, any image or image I selected. Do I need to import snippets of code somewhere or just will I things the wrong way? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  go to your help section and search the reference Guide of Action Script 3.  It is the repository of all the possibilities of ActionScript with Flash and Flex.  You can consult the alphabetical index URLRequest and navigateToUrl.  There could even be code samples included.  I haven't looked right, but you'll probably get before doing so.
