  • Notification of Firefox at the bottom right of the screen freezes Windows 7

It seems that recently, Firefox (and maybe pop up notifications) are freezing my computer Windows 7. I used Firefox for years without this problem. In recent weeks, I noticed that system freeze seems to happen when a Firefox pop-up notification appears at the bottom right of the screen (for example Firefox 38.0.5 is available...). The mouse will continue moving the cursor on the screen for a few seconds, then that freezes at. I get no response from the keyboard, even CTRL-ALT-DEL and start button / stop fail to restart the machine. I need to remove and replace the power cord.

Hoping that Mozilla has solved the problem I updated today to 39.0 Firefox, but when a plugin of Firefox browser introduced a notification in the lower right corner of the system froze again. I don't have this problem of gel when Mozilla Thunderbird shows a notification in the bottom right of the screen (e.g. XXXXXX received 6 new messages).

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

  • "Windows is not genuine" found at the bottom right of the screen. Already active Windows.

I bought a laptop and installed windows pro. Windows has been activated successfully. After two weeks, I've had my laptop replaced with a new laptop, the same model (with the same characteristics) due to a defective part of the keyboard. They removed the hard drive of my laptop and inserted in the new laptop. After that, windows is reactivated in the new laptop and the activation was successful. Installed windows updates regularly.

Two weeks later, after playing a game online, I saw a message from 3 lines at the bottom right of the screen with the last line, saying "Windows is not genuine". I forgot the first two lines, because when I open my computer system properties, I checked that the glass is always enabled, and at this time when the System Properties window has been opened, the message of 3 lines down to the right of the screen suddenly disappeared.

After that, I checked the windows update and installed the updates available and it is ok. Since yesterday I have not seen the message more. It came to my mind that, at the time the message appeared, is 30 days from when I activated all first windows.
I just want to clarify if it was just a bug, or wrongly identified my OS as genuine microsoft?
If it was just a bug, this message will appear soon? Hope someone can clarify it.
    Thank you.

  • "Windows is not genuine" found at the bottom right of the screen. Active Windows months ago. Says it is 'false '.

Windows7 Activation failed after 8 months

    Hello

Several months ago, I bought a copy of Windows 7 family Premium 64 Bit, OEM of the FRY in the upgrade/repair considerably my PC (MBoard, SSD and RAM). Activation and initial recording went well. Today, the "Windows is not genuine" message popped up. Following the instructions, I checked the credentials of the DVD purchased, including

    1 > COA

    2 > hologram on CD (* etc.).

The software is authentic from what I see. But the reactivation attempts have failed. I went to www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ and gave MS Security Essentials because my "version of Windows is genuine. However, I'm getting treatment "this version of windows is counterfeit." (The Office went black, warning of impending doom if not authenticated, etc.). By other directives of similar experience, I down loaded Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool - here are the details of Diag of WGA

Sorry, I don't know what anything means. *
If it is any help, I was about to run System Mechanic 11, he started and said that an update is available. I allowed the update and after the typical stuff (clean the clutter of system, optimize the SSD, back up registry) was asked to defragment the registry, which occurs at a restart. Once I started getting these messages from genuine activation/No. I tried to get the product on the COA (as I had when first installed and activated) does not.

I appreciate help that I need to have my computer working properly! Really! (just kidding, but I use for personal stuff, important).

seems good now. the TTS error has not reoffended then you are good to go.

  • The number of messages read and numer of messages left section (bottom right of the screen) has disappeared. How can I get it back?

Something happened... There was a square is displayed with 'date' something... and I tried to remove the screen and all of a sudden the box at the bottom right of my posts don't have playback number and left messages. What can I do to retrieve this number?

It is still there in TB38.3 here in Windows 7. (See below)

You still have the status bar?

  • My office is then enlarged my picture centered is at the bottom right of the screen and I do not see some icons.

I tried many things to not fix or none this result. I used to just be able to turn off my computer at night, and he would go back to normal. No more. I tried the resolution, but it does not. I have restored to previous restore points, but nothing works. I need my office back to the normal display.

Did you check the settings of the monitor?
I can go to my monitor and check the display settings. It would be the brightness, vertical, horiziontal, etc..
Since I have a bigger screen, I can choose for mode expansion and filling or 4:3 ratio.
I suggest that restore you to factory settings.
You specify your monitor model, but I would go to the manufacturer's web page to see if they have documents that could help.

  • How can I disable the button show desktop in the lower right of the screen of the windows operating system 7?

has the bar at the bottom of the screen from left to right: the Start button, usually several icons quick lauch, notifications of State, date and time, and last BUT NOT LEAST has RECTANGLULAR BOX "SHOW DESKTOP".

I always automatically move the slider at the bottom right of the screen so that it is not in the way and I know where he is.

However, microsft has decided to put a 'show desktop' button in their windows 7 OS at this place.

I DON'T WANT TO SHOW THE DESKTOP WHEN I FIND THE MOUSE HERE.

HOW to REMOVE or disable THIS KEY SO THE PAGE that I READ DOES'NT DISAPPEAR?

    Thank you

You can right click an empty area of the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, click Properties and then on the tab taskbar, properties, uncheck "Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop" after you do this, the rectangular box will always be there and you can click it to show the desktop, but it will appear with the mouse just sit there.

Menu start accidentally moved to the top right of the screen and the taskbar for quick launch at the bottom right of the screen.  Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

I assume you mean that the to-do bar everything is on the right side instead of the lower part of the screen?

Right-click on an empty spot in the taskbar and unlock it. Grad white spot a drag it down. Relock the taskbar.

    Hi, Wally158

I suggest to check the following website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Graphics%20Cards%20%26%20Components&subcategory=Sound%20Cards

It lists Windows 7-compatible sound cards, look for your card it should tell you with its compatible. If it is compatible, it also indicates if the driver downloads automatically or you may have to download via a website.

I am running Windows XP and suddenly find that Firefox fills my whole screen. Of course I pressed a key combination that has created this problem, but I can't get it back to normal. The Firefox toolbars at the top of the screen disappeared and so I can't access my favorites. The windows at the bottom of the screen status bar disappeared. Help, please!

Apparently, you have set Firefox to auto update. He has probably updated to the new version, Firefox 4.0.

To check if this is true, go to your bar menu at the top of the screen. If you don't see the menu bar, you can activate it by right clicking on an empty area in the upper part. Of this, you should see the menu bar, toolbar Tools Navigation, Bookmarks Toolbar, toolbar add-on, etc.. Click on those you want to activate.

Once this is done, you can check your plugins to make sure they are up-to-date with the latest security patches.

Please come back here and click on solved if it solves your problem, so that others with the same problem can find the answer quickly.

Since neither updates Jan - 10 have installed, I'm going to hand you Support MS in the hope that they can resolve the problem. See below.

That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

    Good luck!
