I have a pretty old compaq presario v6000 laptop originally shipped with windows xp professional.  I turned it in my long warranty company to repair when I got it back it had vista. Guarantee company refuses to fix because they say it is a software problem! recently had to replace my hard drive and I cannot figure out how to get windows xp on my laptop. Of course, my laptop came not with a recovery disc, it came with this internal junk that doesn't help because I have a new hard drive now.  Everything I could get my hands on is a recovery with windows xp media center 2005 disk that came with my computer laptop gateway to friends. I installed the drive, but my laptop does not start after the first screen that says windows. How to get windows xp on my laptop OS?

    Hi JAB14,

You will not be able to install the operating system recovery disc. You must contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer to the Windows XP installation CD.

  • When I try to change the wallpaper of my MacBook Pro, system preferences crashes. How can I fix it?

After I selected an options under the Photo of the window just stop responding.

I tried the solution of deleting com.apple.screensaver. * under ~/Library/Preferences/ but it's not helping

    OS version 10.11.4

    Version 1.5 of the photo

BTW, apple app to grab screen Grab can save only img in TIFF format, and apple support communities do not accept TIFF format. It is not ironic at all. : )

Once you take the screenshot using the clamp, it should save this file on your desktop. Double-click on this file. It should open in the application preview.

In the Preview menu bar, click on file > export

    Letter: JPEG Format popup menu.

  • If I have not access to the disk partition hard base would impact on the installation of a complete operating system?

    Original title: TPG Server petition.

I wanted to know if I di not actually have access to the disk partition hard base would impact on the installation of a complete operating system of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit? Instead of having a computer with a complete installation of windows mine came with versions of WinPE OEM, NT and MCE. The GPT partition server that I can see is protected. Partial operating systems seem to be installed on network disk Volumes. I think that what I have to do down the disk hard real all delete and start again but I'm having a problem to see what is all about the drive through programs and remove what I find. He also seems to have a certain type of script hidden BIOS more wrinkles to retail and canceling all decisions on versions of the oem .cfg files. She configures and installs the server instead of windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit server software. The installation gives the highest administrative authority to the network administrators who I don't know and have never met and to manage my personal laptop. It creates a serious problem when I want to use my computer for one purpose and that some people I don't know and have never met want me to use my computer for something else.

  • Unable to change the solid color background

original title: my wallpaper is unable to change the solid color, no matter what I select. I have 3 users defined on my Windows 7 Ultimate, and this happens for only one to three logons.

my desktop background cannot be changed to solid color, no matter what I select. I have 3 users defined on my Windows 7 Ultimate, and this happens for only one to three logons.

I usually use the 'personalization' feature to select the themes, but he 1) is not seen when I select a theme and 2) wallpaper is a solid color when I save the theme. All the other personalization... that is, the window color, sound and screen saver work as advertised. It's just the wallpaper which won't be not 'take'
Same thing happens when I try to change the background to something other than a solid color (I can choose any solid color I want). He can't do the "slide show", can only select a single peak, cannot set the background with the help of a right-click on a photo. Can't even get the default value of Windows 7 or Windows 7 Basic background to display.
I even went as check the settings of "accessibility". No joy...
    Any ideas?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community!

According to the description, you are facing problems with background screen change. In order to quickly provide a solution, please answer this question:

Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: You can follow the steps in the article and check if it works.

Impossible to change the background image in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2504610

Method 2: If this does not work, create a new user account and check. If it works in a new user account, then probably your user account have been damaged and would need a fix.

    Create a user profile.

  • Impossible to change the wallpaper in the linked Clone desktops

    Hello

I have a weird problem with a client running Horizon view 6.0.1:

In linked Clone desktops, we are unable to change the desktop background. We have created a new master without optimizations that I thought one of them already could be the problem (we removed the design etc. but just to get that optimizations).

I can change the wallpaper in the master image without problems, but not in the deployed workstations. If I click on other models, I see more active design Aero, the colors change from window etc, but the background remains the standard image of blue windows ("harmony"). Even if I select the images from the Explorer, right-click, as wallpaper - no change.

Anyone has the same problem and can lead to a solution?

P.S.: We use management Persona. But I have already created a pool in an OU without management of Persona and still have the same problem.

    Best regards

    Thomas
